JACKAUBERY

When Zoe and Mal get into the firefight with Patience and her henchmen toward the end of the pilot episode Zoe gets shot in the chest and her gun clearly flys out of her hand. The next time you see her she is laying on her back (still knocked down by the shot to her chest) and has her weapon in her hand and shoots someone.

I'm not sure how she recovered her firearm.

Nope.

Zoe draws the pistol that is commonly called her 'back up' pistol. When she is shot the back up pistol flies from her hand. The next time she fires she draws the 'mare's leg' which was still at her right hip.

Interesting observation JACKAUBERY

I'm always really, really hopeless at spotting things like that. I used to go out with a girl who would notice continuity errors straight away and it always amazed me.. I've never really thought about that regarding Firefly either so I'd be very interested to hear of more.

There is the notion that it's just TV shorthand. So rather than have to explain all that with a series of quick cuts they just let you assume that Zoe's grabbed it and then taken the shot, so as not to break up the pacing... but who knows. It's more likely an oversight.

°...Well here I am.°

OK. After seeing the responses here I had to watch the scene again and it was indeed two different weapons. I stand (I'm actually sitting down) corrected.

Therez a big continuity error in the latest X Men movie. It bugz me bekuz it wuz a totally useless addition after the main story.

Select to view spoiler:

Near the end, Xavier gets hit by a rikoshayed bullet wich cripplez him. Magneto iz then the enemy. This contradicts the scenez in the previous moviez in wich Xavier and Magneto go to recruit Jean Gray. They are still frendz, they are older men and Xavier iznt crippled.

Youd think with thouzandz uv people working on a seriez uv filmz costing about 100,000,000$ each, you'd hav at least 1 guy doing story continuity.

Its a great movie, on par with the previous entryz, so its a shame they gooft up like this.
