Well known actor Richard Hatch from BSG and Captain Apollo from "Battlestar Galactica" died today. 71 from pancreatic cancer.

He did a tv movie after Battlestar. It was based on the careers of Jan & Dean a beach music duo from the 60s, same time as the Beach Boys. He played Jan.

Watched Battlestar when I was in High School and had such a crush on him.

RIP.

America loves a winner!

Good grief, sorry to hear. Among all else that's going on, I missed this news.

I guess this is the way of things these days... when so many notable folks , over the span of decades grow old....

Even so...

RIP

I saw it on Twitter. It was posted by Edward James Olmos and another actor who knew him. Was totally shocked. Couldn't believe that he was that age.

RIVERLOVE

A very sad and tragic death. Richard Hatch was a terrific guy who I had the pleasure of talking to many times at various sci-fi cons going back 20 years. He always attended these events and he always had that big trademark smile. He loved to discuss Battlestar Galactica, and he would enthusiastically answer everyone's questions about the show. His stories were amazing, as was his knowledge of the episodes. R.I.P.
