I have a friend's dog this morning as her schedule wouldn't allow her to get him to the vets for his dental appointment. Felt like a heel not giving him breakfast and withholding water...but it's what they want.

Nice to have a visitor to this thread! We have a new tankless water heater that's GREAT because you won't run out of hot water unless the propane tank runs dry!! Hey, thanks for the reviews and recommendations on 'Doctor Strange' and 'Arrival'....both are are my list of films to see. Since we live kinda out in the sticks, I'm not sure when/if they'll get close to us...but I want to give both of them a look-see.
We would have gone to the drive-in last night, but I have a monster of a cold, so staying home with many blankets, chicken soup and Thera-flu seemed the right thing to do.

Husband's niece is here for the weekend and we're teaching her guns. She's a single girl, living in Dallas, so she wants to get a pistol for protection. We borrowed some really special weapons from local sheriffs and police officers that we know, so it's been a hoot of a weekend so far!

I have a 14 year old, 6 pound Rat Terrorist who is not doing so well. She'll go to the vets Friday morning and I'm hoping she'll still be around next year. Great little dog...lots of attitude and funny as hell.

Said goodbye to one of the best dogs in the world today. A 6 pound rat terrorist, 15 years old. My husband even quoted River...'she'd forgotten how to be a dog (cow)'...sad but so grateful to have known that little dog.
