Got some good leaf raking done ahead of a rainy week forecast. I have two shaggy dogs who seem to 'collect' leaves and bring them indoors. The dogs know I don't like that...so they try to be helpful and 'shred' the leaves that they bring in..makes it much, much worse. Ah well, love my dogs.

Been gone for a few days; went on a trip with a friend to Florida.
Expecting to find warmer weather...but NOOOooooo....when we got back yesterday it was ten degrees warmer here than it had been the whole time we were in the 'sunshine' state!! No worries...still had a great time!!

Hi Shepherdmark....
Here in TN a quarter inch of snow can close schools and cause a massive rush to clear store shelves of bread and milk. I think every kid should have at least one snow day a year...but if frost closes schools, that's good too!

Yes, life over lunch and squirrel over hawk; but the hawk's gotta eat, too.
Saw another armadillo about last night...they are a strange looking critter...very scaly and armored...and they eat ticks which I am very glad about.
