It's like pointing fingers at the Bogey Man.
Quote:
Why is America’s leader and his team so close to Russia? This is either due to poor judgement or a deeper personal, financial, or political link between President Trump and Russia. It is not normal for the leader of our country to be so extensively tied to a foreign government that has sought to undermine democracies across the globe, and connections like these should be concerning to American citizens everywhere.
I wonder if he would have changed a few words around to talk about the Clinton's financial ties to warlords in the Middle East and their connections to the Clinton Foundation.
I guess we'll never know...

Quote:If it could be proved Trump took a Russian bribe, Trump is dead meat. Can't prove it without his tax returns. In 2008, Donald Trump's son said: "Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia." That's not proof Trump was bribed, but he really does not want to share his tax returns with Congress, unlike Hillary, just for example. Or every candidate for President but Trump.

Trump and his allies have kept his tax returns under guard. They won't release them. No one can see them. They won't even release a letter from the IRS to prove Trump's under audit.
This will go on and on until Congress finally subpoenas the IRS for Trump's tax returns. But Trump might make a secret deal with the Congressional Republican leadership to resign for "health reasons" (he is a fat old man) in exchange for a promise not to subpoena his tax returns and everybody wins!

What I suggest is you lefties start focusing on reforming your own party and make it something that somebody wants to be a part of again. Maybe then you can start getting enough Democrats in Congress to get this done.
I have serious doubts that the Republican majority would ever do this, under any circumstances, and if that were to happen than I would really have a lot of questions about if this entire Trump Presidency was just a farce that had been planned a long time ago.
Again, there was no need for the "fat old man" comment. Talking shit about anybody is strictly prohibited by you new-wave liberals unless it's a white male that doesn't agree with you.

It's funny: She's nearly unwatchable for me - sometimes so shrill I have to keep turning down the volume. So jokey and pantomine-y that I can't look, and she has this habit of saying the same thing over and over to drive the obvious points home.
BUT... she's also the best at what she's doing. I tape her show every night and every night it is a revelation. I defy anyone to find fault with her content. An amazing staff as well.
And yes, she's helping Trump circle the drain - god bless her.
I can't watch her. She is too partisan. Way too far to the left for me, and it takes her an hour to make a point.

SECOND you mentioned this. China OKs 38 Trump Trademarks; Critics Say It Violates Emoluments Clause
President Trump is on his way to getting something he has wanted for a long time: dozens of valuable "Trump" trademarks in China.
China's Trademark Office has now given preliminary approval to 38 new trademarks, covering everything from hotels to golf clubs, insurance and more.
After AP reported the news Wednesday, Senate Democrats expressed outrage, noting that Trump's lawyer Sheri Dillon had promised in January that there would be "no new foreign deals" during the Trump presidency. But by pursuing new trademarks, the Trump Organization, which the president continues to own, may be laying the groundwork for expansions in China.

China recognizes trademarks?
I thought their number on import was whatever they could steal and rebrand and sell abroad for a fraction of the cost.

Quote:Reform the Democratic Party? In Texas, Republicans took over the state government from the Democrats in my life time. They did it by promising harsher prisons, more executions, less money spent. That is not where the Democratic party will ever go to win. Democrats control a few large cities and the Rio Grand Valley. The rest of the state is Republican. Maybe the Democratic party could become similar to the Republican and win more of the state? Maybe that would work with Texans, but it wouldn’t be the Democratic party. It would be GOP Lite – less filling, less taste.

Roger Stone, Trump confidante, spoke privately with DNC hackers prior to election: Report
Roger Stone, President Trump’s former campaign adviser, communicated privately with an entity directly involved in hacking the Democratic National Committee ahead of the 2016 White House race, The Smoking Gun reported Wednesday.
Mr. Stone, a veteran political consultant, swapped private Twitter messages last year with “Guccifer 2.0,” the website reported Wednesday citing an unnamed source. If accurate, the allegation means Mr. Trump’s longtime confidante and one-time presidential campaign manager spoke in private with a persona intimately implicated in the operation that helped dash Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s chance at the White House, and would undeniably amplify existing concerns regarding Team Trump’s alleged ties to Russia.

This actually is not new news and I agree that it is true because I heard Stone say it to Alex Jones on InfoWars on more than one occasion at least a month or two before the election.
What is interesting here though, is that the Guccifer 2.0 release was the only part of all of the leaks that the DNC outright denied was true. Other people who looked into it found suspiscious things about it and claimed that it was largely old data that came from another previous leak that was doctored up.
What I take issue with is the Washington Time's headline: "Roger Stone, Trump confidante, spoke privately with DNC hackers prior to election: Report"
That is not true. It was one hacker, not plural. Unless Guccifer2.0 was actually a group rather than one individual. Without saying it, it is another attempt at trying to say that somebody close to Trump was in contact with Russia, and was colluding with Russia to steal the election, since that's on the minds of every single person who is unhappy that Trump is president now.

Well, if you heard him say it then it's confirmed. I saw it appear in two different news sources but they both were quoting The Smoking Gun as the source. I don't have very much confidence in that source and said as much when I posted it.
Thanks for the confirmation. It's just another brick in the wall Jack.

You don't even have to bother looking up if Guccifer2.0 was a Russian agent since his release was debunked by people against Hillary within days of release and nobody took it seriously. You're just looking at old news that never went anywhere now.

The deliberations of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were held in strict secrecy. Consequently, anxious citizens gathered outside Independence Hall when the proceedings ended in order to learn what had been produced behind closed doors. The answer was provided immediately. A Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.” (Benjamin Franklin)

Trump transition knew Flynn might register as foreign agent
Lawyers for retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn told President Donald Trump's transition team before the inauguration that Flynn might need to register with the government as a foreign agent, but Trump was not aware of the possible move, the White House said Friday.
The disclosure by White House officials confirms the Trump transition team was aware of the situation involving the president's pick for a top national security post either before he joined the government or soon afterward.

A Reuters review has found that at least 63 individuals with Russian passports or addresses have bought at least $98.4 million worth of property in seven Trump-branded luxury towers in southern Florida, according to public documents, interviews and corporate records.
The buyers include politically connected businessmen, such as a former executive in a Moscow-based state-run construction firm that works on military and intelligence facilities, the founder of a St. Petersburg investment bank and the co-founder of a conglomerate with interests in banking, property and electronics.

Eric Prince, not a Trump person, was in charge of US mercenary forces under GW Bush. Why didn't he meet with Putin? Met with a Russian? I hope everyone on this forum has met with a Russian. People who talked to President Trump cannot have rigged the election for him unless they worked for Trump during the campaign.
Also, what you have here is three degrees of separation, and it's pretty tenuous. I could get to Putin in 3 steps.
A friend of mine worked for Putin. Wait. That's only two.
My brother worked with diplomats who worked with Putin.
I know a dozen people who know Obama
I know three dozen people who know Trump
My best buddy here in this hick town, his cousin is married to GW Bush's daughter.
I could get from me to everyone who has won a major party ticket since Reagan in three steps. I could get to most of the losers also.
Face it, you got truly nuttin' now.
Today's total nuttin' story is Trump leased an old post office in DC.

Really there isn't a story here. This was after he was elected, and the allegation is that he's setting up a secret communication channel with Putin. I mean, if he wants, Trump can just join VK. Srsly, he could sign on to IRC, play minecraft, whatever. There are a million ways to meet Putin online. But you need to work on your "connections" because they're all kinds of vague. Using you're logic, one could prove that I actually am Putin.

Top U.S. officials to testify in Trump-Russia probe reboot
WASHINGTON - The U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee said on Friday it had invited FBI, NSA and Obama administration officials to testify as it restarts its investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.
After stalling over the committee chairman's ties to President Donald Trump's White House and disagreements over who should testify, the bipartisan committee said it sent a letter inviting James Comey, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Admiral Mike Rogers, director of the National Security Agency, to appear behind closed doors on May 2.

U.S. officials told the news network that the Russian government attempted to use advisers, including Carter Page, in their strategy to infiltrate Trump's political team during the campaign season.
The officials underscored that they were not aware of whether Page knew that he was communicating with Russian intelligence officials given the manner in which Russian operatives operate.

Political consultant Roger Stone is a longtime Trump confidante and advisor. Stone said he always knew his celebrity pal was “prime political horse flesh.” Get Me Roger Stone traces the monumental impact that Stone, the youngest person called before the Watergate grand jury and a self-described “dirty trickster”, has made on modern GOP history — connecting Nixon, Roy Cohn and Reagan with SuperPACs, lobbying, the 2000 election, all the way to the nation’s first reality star President. A master of creating controversy and manipulating the media, Stone’s career is a window into the last 50 years of politics that led to this pivotal moment in history. The Netflix original documentary chronicles the high-living, low-down, self-proclaimed agent provocateur and the seismic changes he’s wrought in a political system.

In some ways, Stone’s soul seems part carnival huckster, part 19th century anarchist. A petri dish of toxic pathologies, he has come so far from his Goldwaterite beginnings he could now write his own book: A Conservative Without a Conscience.

Of all the non-fiction movies that have already been made about the toxic cesspool of the 2016 election, or how Trump emerged from it like a leather-tanned Swamp Thing, Get Me Roger Stone is the one that best articulates how we got here and who’s to blame.

Quote:Trump is pretending not to know Roger Stone very well. I predict Trump will deny knowing many people he knows very well if the Republican controlled Congress ever begins looking into who Trump knows. I found this humorous difference between how Roger Stone and Trump understand the words "long time" and "recently":

President Trump at 5:57 AM Friday: "The Roger Stone report on @CNN is false - Fake News. Have not spoken to Roger in a long time."
Roger Stone, an hour or so later: "Well, I am not going to contradict the president and I am not going to say when I've spoken to him but I will say this, I have spoken to him very recently."
In a May 5 interview with "The David Webb" show, Stone said the last time he had spoken to the President was “less than a week ago.”

LOL.... that would be double plus ungood.
He'd never want the job anyway. I know that most folk don't take the personality test seriously, but I'd imagine if Stone took it he'd get pretty close to the same results I had. The only thing that might bump him out of the Architect category would be that he's a bit too extroverted. He'd still rather be the guy whispering in the King's ear though. He's too smart to actually want to be King.

Trump asked Comey to end investigation into Flynn, according to Comey memo
President Trump, in a private meeting with then-FBI Director James B. Comey, asked him to end the criminal investigation into ousted national security advisor Michael Flynn, according to a memo written by Comey shortly after the meeting.
The House Oversight Committee “is going to get the Comey memo, if it exists,” Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) wrote Tuesday in a tweet.
“I need to see it sooner rather than later. I have my subpoena pen ready.”
“Enough is enough. Congress really needs to get to the bottom of this,” said Rep. Adam B. Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

On online political stock market PredictIt, chances of Trump being impeached in 2017 hit a record 30 percent late Tuesday on heavy volume.
www.predictit.org/Browse/Group/83/White-House
British bookmaker Betfair also said that punters had bet more than 5,000 pounds ($6,470) on an early departure for Trump in the hours after it was reported Trump had asked Comey to shut down the Russia investigation.
Another British betting firm Ladbrokes cut the price of a Trump impeachment to odds-on at 4-5 from 11-10, equivalent to about 56 percent probability that Trump will be removed from office.

The answer lies in Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution..
The amendment states that if, for whatever reason, the vice president and a majority of sitting Cabinet secretaries decide that the president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office,” they can simply put that down in writing and send it to two people — the speaker of the House and the Senate’s president pro tem.
Then the vice president would immediately become “Acting President,” and take over all the president’s powers.
Let that sink in — one vice president and any eight Cabinet officers can, theoretically, decide to knock the president out of power at any time.

I am not sure if you are confusing or conflating more than one topic here, it seems you are exasperated.
There has been talk of Investigations into Russia causing influence in our Elections, particularly the November 2016 General Election. This is one topic. It may have relevance because the revelations of so much of Hilliary's Criminal Actions, Obstructions, and Falsehoods were supposed to be kept under wraps by the MSM Wing of the Democrap Party, and other Democraps as well. And, although Russia is unlikely to have forced Hilliary to commit these crimes, Russia may have had a hand in exposing Hilliary's vast accumulation of Criminal Acts.
There has also been pretend talk of hoped-for investigations into Trump and Russia colluding in regards to influencing the Election. This nonsense has no merit, but the Democrap drumbeat has constantly tried to comingle this with the prior issue in hopes of coloring the perceptions of those not paying attention. This is a second, and separate topic.
Now there is talk of having an investigation into the failure to generate an investigation into the above meritless topic, unrelated to the possibly merited first topic. This is a third topic, separate from the first, but a spin-off of the second topic.
So, could you please elucidate which of the 3 you are sick of hearing about?
I'm fair certain the Democraps will continue talking about the 2nd and 3rd items for 4 years, since they don't have any candidates to put forth, and they will continue to try to bury the first so that voters might finally forget all of the crimes Hilliary committed which were exposed in that vein.

It depends on what charge leads the way and how long it takes to compile a case. I think it will most likely be corruption charges. Perhaps tax fraud or money laundering. Trumps actions have allowed for the investigation to go anywhere Trump exhibited questionable behavior. Do you remember Ken Starr? The Clinton investigation started out looking into a real estate deal. Clinton wound up being impeached for lying about an affair.
Trump better be innocent of any wrong doing, anywhere, anytime. Are you willing to put money on that?

Dry drunk and the 'dry drunk syndrome' can be described as someone who fits one of the two following conditions. The first is someone who has given up drinking and drugging and not made any internal or emotional changes, they stay the same but the substance use has stopped.
Being overly judgmental can be a very destructive attitude for those in recovery, whether it be towards others or towards ourselves. For instance, when we judge ourselves to be better than others, we generally set up situations that inflate our own ego. While, on the other hand, when we judge ourselves to be much lower than others, we also wind up feeling bitter and having low self-esteem.

So I suppose that you believe that being constantly judgemental of other people and their opinions and/or behavior is perfectly alright if you never had a drinking problem then?
That is what you're saying, right?

If there wuz anything going on in favor uv Trump, surely they woud be blathering about it. But no.

And it coud also save him from hiz Putin trouble. The GoPs coud uze the pozitiv clamor to drown out the investigation newz and boost Trump's popularity. 'Impeach the Prez hoo did the impossible? Youre crazy!'

You haven't made but a few rational, reasonable or constructive observations.
The rest of what you say is saturated with paranoia and grandiose thinking. Can you see through walls as well as read minds?

You had no point T. You were complaining about my behavior, which is no different than your own behavior. And then you're giving yourself a double standard to continue doing what you do because you, as far as we know, don't have a problem with substance abuse.
You knew that. You knew that I had you in a corner. That is why you did not reply directly to me. You wouldn't have said anything had O not swooped in and said his peace. Even then you did not reply directly to me. You spoke to him about me.

Once again, you aren't even talking about the point you were originally trying to make which is that you can behave however you feel like behaving because you don't have substance abuse issues. Simply even bringing this up to me is an example of you doing what you say that I am not entitled to do because of my history.
You do exactly what you are accusing me of every single day you post here, yet somehow you feel that you are entitled to do so because you, at least to our knowledge, have never abused alcohol or drugs.
You are a very petty person who acts purely on an emotional basis and when you lose an argument you resort to personal attacks, and throwing judgements around.
Please, do continue this as we can just fill yet another thread with more examples of your flawed arguments.

No Jack, that's you who'll go round and round. It's like when you get upset with SECOND and others, as though they are posting to you when they are not. You criticize them because to you they have changed topics. You're doing it again Jack. I made the point I wished to and it's on the money. Hey look, you've caught your tail. Good job Jack.

Jared Kushner is under scrutiny in the FBI's Russia investigation
Federal investigators are looking into meetings Kushner held in December with Russia's ambassador and a banker from Moscow, CBS News' Scott Pelley reported on "CBS Evening News" on Thursday. The banker, Sergey Gorkov, is the head of VEB Bank, a state-owned Russian entity that is the subject of U.S. government sanctions. Gorkov was trained by Russia's Federal Security Service, or FSB.

FBI investigating attempted hack of Trump Organization
The FBI is probing an attempted cyberattack against the Trump Organization, according to a report from ABC News.
Sources told ABC that the FBI summoned an emergency meeting with President Trump's sons Donald Jr. and Eric, who took charge of the organization after Trump took office.
The two brothers met with the FBI's cybersecurity agents and CIA representatives at the FBI headquarters in New York on May 8, according to the report. The meeting came the day before President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey.

Really? I haven't seen any of your clique agree with anything you've said in these posts to me the last few days.
I, on the other hand, don't subscribe to the clique mentality and haven't even acknowledged when people have gone out of their way to comment to the contrary.
Anyone who actually cares to take a look at our little back and forth the last few days will also notice that unlike your posts, mine have not been rife with personal attacks and an almost delusional sense of ego and entitlement that must be behind the judgements you've been throwing around.
You are making an ass of yourself, and I no longer choose to be a part of it.

When do you think the last time Peace is what saved a presidency? When's the last time anybody even tried?
Nixon tried Peace with China.
Reagan/Bush41 tried Peace with Russia, bringing the Berlin Wall down in 1989 - before Clinton hosed up the entire progress, and gave us Putin. Apparently enough voters in 1992 did not like the idea of Peace, and preferred the Warmonger Democraps.
Clinton tried to get a piece all over, mostly in The Map Room (aka The Bimbo Closet).
Bush43 tried for Middle East peace, but Obama hosed that all up and reversed the progress made.

Countdown Clock to Trumps impeachment " STARTS"
As we already know, THUGGER is a paid plant. So it's no surprise that he would agitate for the all-American lynching as a part of the agenda he's supposed to carry forward. FIRST the hangin'. THEN the trial ... if we get around to it.
What I find interesting is how many people who consider themselves liberals - who would claim they believe in facts and fairness and justice for all - are as blood-thirsty as THUGGER. And how willingly they believe the same people who brought Iraq WMDs into the American mindset.

The latest thing iz Jared Kushner & Flynn trying to set up a secret communication link at the Russian Embassy on Desember 2nd 2016.
More evidens that Trump and hiz gang were not expecting to win, so wen they did, they were scrambling to hide their many Kremlin connectionz before the inauguration. Pretty soon, they figured out that it wuznt possible, so needed a way to communicate quickly, directly and secretly. They need a way to warn Putin about imminent threts from our intel ajensyz and resiev instructionz az fast az possible.
Not only do they need to keep our intel ajents frum uncovering secrets, they cant risk taking actionz that Putin mite interpret az them duble crossing him, cauzing him to reveal sum or all uv the Kompromat.

No. If that actually happened on December 2nd of 2016, that is evidence that Jared Kushner and Flynn tried to set up a secret communication link at the Russian Embassy. Period.
Without any more evidence, everything after the first sentence in this post is conjecture.

MEANWHILE, I've been asking over several different threads - what has Trump DONE that's illegal?
Thats the million dollar question.
Wut its looking like he did thats illegal iz collude with the FSB (Russian espianoj ajensy) to interfere with the 2016 election.
Crime: treazon.
It appearz like he did this partly due to the FSB having serious dirt on him, wich woud sertainly consist uv crimez.
Probable Crimez: Money laundering, breaching sanctions, bribing forin officials, accepting bribes.
Good chans they also hav embarrassing Kompromat video material on him and sum uv hiz associates, wich coud contain illegal activitiez.
He and everybody in hiz inner srkl are acting gilty az hell.
He DID obstruct justis wen he fired Sally Yates and James Comey and asked Comey and at least 2 other intel ajensy hedz to back off investigating Flynn. Thats 5 counts uv obstruction rite there. It takes 1 to get impeached and imprizoned.
Considering that Cohen iz in on the crimez so must hav discussed the obstruction risk with Trump at great length, the crimez they are attempting to cover up must be so much worse than obstruction that at least Trump believed it wuz worth the risk.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions suggested he could resign amid rising tension with President Trump
As the White House braces for former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony Thursday, sources tell ABC News the relationship between President Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions has become so tense that Sessions at one point recently even suggested he could resign.
The friction between the two men stems from the attorney general's abrupt decision in March to recuse himself from anything related to the Russia investigation -- a decision the president only learned about minutes before Sessions announced it publicly. Multiple sources say the recusal is one of the top disappointments of his presidency so far and one the president has remained fixated on.
Trump’s anger over the recusal has not diminished with time. Two sources close to the president say he has lashed out repeatedly at the attorney general in private meetings, blaming the recusal for the expansion of the Russia investigation, now overseen by Special Counsel and former FBI Director Robert Mueller.
