I'm thinking no on the sword fights. If someone whips out a sword I'm gonna go get the chain of command.

I'm going to try to make it, but first I've gotta investigate the child care sitch. Having it in the afternoon is brilliant for me because I can party with ya'll and still get back pretty early.

Going to work on it now...oh and Spaceman? Lets talk.

Is there any way to e-mail people through this message board? I don't have the e-mail addresses for these folks:

Bikistad
Loafer
Rayston
Bruisersmom

So they're the only ones that I wasn't able to e-mail about the shindig. But they'll probably check these threads, I hope...

what's funny is I work with Rayston, so I can just hand him my address.

hey everyone, carpool if you can if you're from out of the city, you'll probably have more fun on the drive talking with someone else, and you'll help our environment. What am I talking about? I'm not an environmentalist.

Oh and for everyone who was wondering about the time on the firefly meetup board, it's just an amazing coincidence. I had no idea that anyone on the meetup board held a monthly meeting or that they chose 2 PM.

Scott Scherberg (who may not make it as he needs a permission slip j/k)
Nopowerintheverse (Who may or may not be dystopia)
Bruisersmom
Rayston (or whatever he calls himself since he works with me)

And Nywoe was threatneing to bring hordes of unspecified people from the board. :)

Hopefully, one of the ones you mentioned is SpacemanSpiff who's driving down from Flagstaff.

You should get an email from Stowaway_23 who just posted on the OB.

I'm expecting to show up with a couple of folks myself. So, maybe we should planning on bringing some folding chairs, or (as you suggested) beanbags?

Hey all,

A big thanks to everyone who made it. I think a viewing party where only I showed would have been a little sad. But y'all made a great show of things.

I would have to say that we should do it again, and maybe even have chant sheets to go along with the theme song.

A big thanks to everyone who brought snacks and such, I guess what with it being cold and rainy, the need for ice was lower than I had originally anticipated.

Nywoe, great job with the Chinese snacks, we all now know what chestnuts roasted with sugar and skin peeling off tastes like.

Haufel, Tribes, thanks for bringing more food and beverages than everyone could hope to consume.

Thanks everyone who drove from halfway across the state just to join us, and everyone else who couldn't make it, maybe we'll see you another time.

I'll think about trying to do this again in the coming months.

I think, as an extension of the AZ Shindig and this thread, we should, in the coming months, discuss a mass AZ opening night viewing of the Big Damn Movie. Flag has a nice theater, but probably very few real fans. I'd be willing to drive down to Phoenix if there was to be a coordinated effort by the AZ fans to all go to the same theater at the same showing (or two...or three...).

Thanks Beatle! We are a handsome bunch, aren't we. :)

I especially like the one where you're adjusting the camera. LOL.

Thanks, Beatle. Pics look great!

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Very shiny photos for the 2nd AZ Shindig. Wife really liked them. Thanks Beatle.

Everybody looks good!

Annie. I do have myself automatically logged in. Do you (or does anyone) know how to undo it because maybe that's it.

I've never looked for any stars. I've never bought a star map or anything. I wouldn't want to spook Sean or Jewel on the street because I was looking for them. If I were them, it would be scary.

Yeah, they deserve their free time. But if you ever go to a convention or something, you'll probably get to see 'em. :)

Okay, try this: Go into your profile and change your e-mail address to the new address. Then up at the top click on "Re-login." (It appears in yellow way up at the top when you are in your profile.) Then use your new e-mail address to log in. I think that should work.

Bump! So that it doesn't disappear and I can try my new email address tomorrow when I'm sober and awake.
