Right now Trump says one thing and the democrats say the report says otherwise. That falls right into Trump and the republicans hands. The dems need to stop telling the American people to read a report that is very technical, and almost 5 hundred pages long. Instead they need to show the movie.
They need to show the people the movie based on the report. That means calling witnesses and letting the people watch the Mueller report play out on TV. As of now, Trump only has to spin what is written in a report no one is reading; easy. It will be next to impossible for Trump and the republicans to spin what goes down that the people see with their own eyes.
At that point, even if the republicans don't convict in the senate the people will still know Trump is guilty. That the democrats were justified in attempting to bring him to justice. Then come the elections with all republicans coming off as aiding in his coverup. Of being guilty of obstruction themselves.
It is also important to start getting Trump to say he is not a criminal. This can be done by the dems calling all the investigations criminal investigations. Trump always having to say he is not a criminal would be a great visual on the nightly news.

Joe Biden kicked up a fuss the other day by saying something...un-smart. He suggested that Trump is a historical one-off and that, once we are rid of him and have fumigated the White House thoroughly, the normal routine of governing the country will resume and everybody can have drinks with each other at the end of the day. If there is one issue that desperately needs litigating in the Democratic Party's primary process it is this:
Resolved: this presidency is the logical outcome of 40 years of modern conservatism and its effect on the Republican Party. If it wasn't this guy, it would've been somebody else.
The party is the problem, because of what it's become—a vehicle for bigotry, religious fanaticism, rigged elections, retrograde social policies, renegade plutocracy, staggering wealth inequality, scientific ignorance, reflexive stupidity, violent populism, white supremacy, and a view of the American electorate that is all switch and no bait. (Did I miss anything?) Three times since 1981, the Republicans have produced a president who basically embodied all of these things, just to varying degrees. Ronald Reagan played fast and loose with the truth; is that business about trees causing air pollution really any nuttier than whatever it was that Trump tweeted at 5 a.m. this morning? George W. Bush launched a war on false pretenses and made this a nation that tortures people and is proud of it. Is that any better than what's going on at the border now? The question isn't how the Republicans produced this particular disaster of a president. The question is what took them so long.
The only possible way to change the Republican Party is to force it to answer for itself, over and over again. One of the biggest mistakes ever made in American politics was the Democratic Party's blunder in letting the Republican Party off the hook for the various catastrophes wrought by the administration of C-Plus Augustus. Iraq, Katrina, and the Economic Collapse should have been hung around Republican necks in the same way, and for the same reasons, that Democratic politicians had to talk for 20 years about the mannequin the Republicans made out of George McGovern, whom Bobby Kennedy once called the most decent man in the Senate.
If a Democrat is elected in 2020, that person should use all the powers of the office to demonstrate once and for all that the prion disease afflicting the Republicans now has reached terminal stage and that the GOP is a mad dog, snapping at phantoms in midair, and endangering the public health and welfare. Mitch McConnell should be made an object of anger and ridicule, and that work should come from the top.

Harris said that, as a former federal lawman, “I didn’t think it was even a close prosecutorial call as to whether the president obstructed justice.”
The Mueller report “revealed a picture of the president and his presidency in a way which ought to concern anyone that cares about the honest workings of government,” he added. “If the rule of law stands for nothing, then we have anarchy. It’s as simple as that.”
Paul Rosenzweig, deputy assistant secretary of homeland security under President George W. Bush, called “obstruction of justice and perjury ... far more important than most normal crimes” because they “go to the absolute core of how the rule of law functions in this society.”
Donald Ayer, who served as George H.W. Bush’s deputy attorney general, said what particularly disturbed him was the silence of Republicans on Capitol Hill who know that “there is a damning case in the Mueller report of obstruction of justice by the president.”
The group plans to hand-deliver a copy of the video, as well as Robert Mueller’s report with key sections highlighted, to each Republican lawmaker on Monday."

In a confrontation with Amash, Luke ended up stealing the show.
When Luke got her hands on the question mic, groans greeted her headgear. A big man stood and shouted. Nevertheless, she persisted.
“If you want to go along with the violating the public trust, how far does that go?” she asked Amash. Her syntax was faulty but her point was clear: What about accountability for “the Democrats, who have done the same thing”? Then came the telltale earworms that mark American minds lost to reason: “deep state,” Hillary Clinton’s “silent coup.”
Amash demonstrated the one way out of bewilderment: Ignore propaganda, inform yourself and speak up.
“Silent coup” is a favorite phrase of Mark Levin, a gonzo conspiracy theorist on Fox News. That wacko meme is further traceable to Russian propaganda from 2016 and a 1991 book, “Silent Coup,” that argued that President Nixon’s downfall was set up by Democrats trying to hide — you guessed it — a Democratic National Committee prostitution ring.
It was sorely tempting to tune out Luke while she waxed a tinfoil hat at the town hall. But she was worth listening to. In her halting way she eventually managed not just to get a point across, but to embody that point. In short, she was baffled. She was hoping right-wing folklore would get her out of her bafflement. But it only made her more baffled.
Luke put her confusion on display in the room, which took a measure of courage. For her to pick up political earworms right off the pop charts suggested a certain cognitive vulnerability.
This vulnerability is definitely not confined to town hall audience members. A prominent case is Atty. Gen. William Barr, who echoes Fox News and Russian botnets when he alludes to “spying” by the Obama administration and Uranium One, a farrago that makes as much sense as leprechaun stories.
As Robert S. Mueller III reminded us Wednesday, American democracy can be infected by scary ideas configured to rile us up. Some people fall so hard for crazy lies, according to former Trumpist troll David Weissman, they enlist in hostile foreign troll armies, repeating and spreading nutcase memes even when it costs them social ties, professional standing and their own sanity.
But others recover or resist. And at Amash’s town hall, Luke’s common sense, the best inoculation against propaganda, seemed to rally. In her telling, the deep state came down to “the bureaucrats.”
Suddenly, she was out of Fox News talking points and into her own lived experience.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever dealt with a bureaucrat, but it’s just mind-boggling that we have to deal with them,” she said. “I have a lot of experience.”
Bureaucrats. No kidding. Paperwork and red tape are the day-to-day manifestations of the frayed systems — in healthcare, banking, education, housing, the IRS — that bedevil us all. Think: rejected claims from insurance companies, brief enrollment windows, out-of-network charges, unintelligible “terms and conditions.” For any American without a coterie of personal lawyers and accountants, life routinely involves demoralizing roadblocks. Mind-boggling is right.
Amash didn’t address bureaucracy, which is too bad; it’s a kitchen-table issue. But he did model a brisk, energetic, focused way of sorting signal from noise with one’s full mental capacities. For an infuriated nation that often seems close to moral and intellectual disintegration, Amash’s commitment to keeping his mind unboggled is right on.
Luke had accused Amash of turning into a Democrat, in spite of the fact that his voting record is reactionary and straight-up Freedom Caucus. But, even if his votes reflect the worst of libertarianism, Amash at his town hall was an advertisement for thinking for yourself. Somewhere, you recently posted that you looked at the history of second's posting, back to about 2013, when he changed his login name. That was when he changed his name from "two" to "second" on this site.

No. I wasn't aware that he had posted under a different name before.
I didn't look through the history of his posts either, although I did share the link for the entire history of his posts right after he shared the link for the entire history of my posts.
In this thread though, I was just illustrating how you could put in a few key words using an advanced google search function and the name of this website to bring up entire previous posts by somebody, and it's pretty easy to find all of Second's death threats in that manner.
You could also use "two" or "second" to further narrow down the results if you desired, but those are "two" words that aren't likely to help all that much. Actually, not a bad choice of handle names. I have to give him credit for that.

How much did Mr. Trump personally know about Russian efforts to assist his campaign, and when did he know it? A great deal.
2) Looking for Clinton’s “missing” emails (Volume I, pp. 49, 62-63)
If the term “Collusion” means working behind the scenes with Russian actors to obtain hacked information damaging to Mrs. Clinton, then this section of the report describes just that — collusion that took place at Mr. Trump’s request.
3) Sharing polling data (Volume I, pp. 130-131, 140)
While managing the campaign, Mr. Manafort told Mr. Gates to share “internal polling data” private to the campaign with Mr. Kilimnik, so he could share it with Ukrainian oligarchs and a Russian oligarch. Mr. Gates sent Mr. Kilimnik the data regularly, deleting the WhatsApp messages after he did so. In an in-person meeting with Mr. Kilimnik, Mr. Manafort shared more information about the campaign’s election plans and polling, including information about “battleground states” that would be key to Mr. Trump’s election.
Mr Gates goes on trial in November. Mr. Manafort is in jail.
4) Obstructing justice (Volume II, pp. 90-93)
Attorney General Bill Barr’s view that the president did not obstruct justice is informed by his argument that presidential conduct authorized by the Constitution cannot constitute obstruction. But this does not address conduct that took place outside the scope of the Constitution.
One of many examples outside the scope of the Constitution: “Substantial evidence,” Mr. Mueller writes, “indicates that the president’s effort to have Sessions limit the scope of the special counsel’s investigation to future election interference was intended to prevent further investigative scrutiny of the president’s and his campaign’s previous conduct.”

The inevitable Phase 2 of ForeignDirtgate took place this morning:
Under fire for saying earlier in the week that “I’d take it” and scoffing at the notion that he should call authorities, Mr. Trump shifted by saying that while he would still look at incriminating information provided by a hostile foreign power about an election opponent he would “absolutely” report such an encounter. “Of course, you give it to the F.B.I. or report it to the attorney general or somebody like that,” Mr. Trump said on “Fox & Friends” in a telephone interview on Friday morning. “But of course you do that. You couldn’t have that happen with our country.”
If this follows the usual pattern, Phase 3 will happen in about a week. That’s the part where Trump, counting on the fact that memories have gotten a little foggy, claims that he’s always said he’d call the FBI if some foreigner offered him campaign dirt. His spear carriers in Congress and the media will all join in, agreeing that the liberal media, as usual, is deliberately impugning Trump’s integrity by misquoting him.

The FBI had to wiretap mafia bosses like John Gotti and Vincent “The Chin” Gigante to catch them breaking the law. All they had to do to catch Donald Trump on Wednesday night was turn on ABC News. Trump proceeded to commit multiple felonies out in the open on national television when he told George Stephanopoulos he would be happy to accept dirt on his opponent from foreign governments in his 2020 re-election campaign.
Trump looked like he’d been gobbling Adderall. His pupils were pinned, and he kept doing that thing with his hands, holding them in front of himself and moving them apart and then together impatiently, talking to Stephanopoulos like he was a school child just learning about politics rather than the seasoned operative he is (Stephanopoulos was one of the architects of the Bill Clinton campaign when he won the presidency in 1992 and has covered political campaigns as a reporter and news anchor in the decades since then).
But perhaps Trump was right. Maybe Stephanopoulos needs a good talking to from the Capo du tutti capo on Pennsylvania Avenue. Doesn’t George get it that politicians are no different from gangsters? They don’t go to the FBI and turn each other in. They don’t report crimes. They commit them, and they keep their mouths shut.

Putin did not pretend to have amnesia. He didn’t respond at all to questions from Mueller. That was okay with Mueller, who shrugged it off, concluding that he couldn’t prove Trump and Putin had sex. Years will pass between the crime and a conviction. Or no conviction. Or charges dropped. Just for one example: Charges against Kevin Spacey were dropped today 3 years after the incident. Did the crime ever happen? We will never know for sure. Maybe Spacey really is innocent. Maybe his prosecution was a travesty of injustice. Or maybe not.

Another example from today: El Chapo Guzmán was sentenced. It only required 10 years of legal work to get to this point. With the "presumed innocent until proven guilty" mantra, was he innocent until sentencing? Completely! Obviously! El Chapo complained at his sentencing about the unfairness of his treatment, the injustice of it all. He will appeal. Or he might escape from prison, for the 3rd time.
I'm sure Russia can wage a better legal war against American judiciary unfairness than El Chapo and his lawyers or Kevin Spacey and his lawyers could. The Russians might be able to stall the process for 10 years. Or even get all charges dropped after 3 years. Who knows with the highly inefficient and completely erratic American Court system?

I know the Hillarity aspect used to be brought up occasionally, only to be quickly brushed away - 'well, SHE's not president'. No one ever asked the question why that didn't make a difference.

Mueller probe witness now faces child sex trafficking charge
An indictment made public Friday in federal court in Alexandria charges Lebanese-American businessman George Nader, 60, with transporting a 14-year-old boy from Europe to Washington, D.C., in February 2000 and engaging in sex acts with him.
Nader's name shows up more than 100 times in Mueller's report. It details his efforts to serve as liaison between a Russian banker close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of President Donald Trump's transition team.

Effectively, we have no president. Rather, we have someone who plays the president on television and on Twitter. Aside from a few of his pet subjects, such as immigration, Trump seems to have almost no effect on the workings of the federal government. What we have seen is a demonstration that government is actually a fairly robust establishment even without a president.
The less control the GOP has over the federal government, the better. Think of it this way: Which would be more dangerous, a Mafia family overseen by the cruel and competent Michael Corleone, or one led by his ineffectual brother Fredo? So, I say, Let Donald be Fredo, since Pence is Michael Corleone.
Pence: not a crook, not a tax cheater, not a liar, not a racist, and not an incompetent administrator. Trump: the opposite of Pence. Which would be a more effective Presidential candidate in 2020? Pence. Most House members know this, except for some of the dumbest Democratic Representatives. Besides, there are 53 Republicans in the Senate who won't retire Trump and switch to Pence in the White House.

Ukrainian officials and Giuliani are sharing back-channel campaign information
Two operatives reporting to President Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani established a back channel between him and Ukrainian officials, according to a BuzzFeed News report.
Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman met with top figures in Ukraine and set up meetings for Giuliani in an attempt to gather information to use in the 2020 presidential election, according to the publication.
Their activities included pushing Ukrainian prosecutors to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, who is the current front-runner in the Democratic primary. The report also says that Ukrainian officials planned to intercede on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's behalf in the 2016 election by leaking information on Trump's then-campaign chairman, Paul Manafort.

Yesterday, Trump gave a speech at the Turning Point conference where he said, “I have an Article II where I have the right to do whatever I want as president.” But what was this all about? What was the context?
It turns out that Trump was freewheeling about the Mueller report, telling the rapt audience that Mueller interviewed 500 people, issued 2,500 subpoenas, etc:
"They did everything. The collusion, no collusion, they have no collusion. Then I have an Article II where I have the right to do whatever I want as president, but I don’t even talk about that. Because they did a report, and there was no obstruction. After looking at it — our great attorney general read it, he’s a total professional — he said there’s nothing here, there’s no obstruction."
I assume he was referring to the fact that he’s allowed to fire executive branch officers if he wants to. In other words, firing James Comey was within his Article II powers, so it can’t represent obstruction of justice. Likewise, he could have fired Mueller if he’d wanted to.

When former special counsel Robert Mueller testifies on July 24 before the House Judiciary Committee, he will be answering questions about whether the US president obstructed justice by thwarting Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections. Let’s brush up on the evidence ahead of his testimony, which may well determine whether American representatives will move to impeach president Donald Trump.
The report on the investigation was divided into two parts. The portion on obstruction of justice discusses Trump’s efforts to prevent and influence Mueller’s inquiry. It expressly states that special counsel was unable to charge Trump for technical reasons but couldn’t clear the president substantively, based on the evidence.
These are the findings, delivered to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in March and released publicly in April, which lawmakers will be questioning the investigator about:
1) Trump’s two faces
Trump publicly expressed skepticism that Russia was responsible for the WikiLeaks release of hacked Democratic National Committee documents during the 2016 presidential campaign, yet privately sought information about future releases.
He also denied having any business in Russia, despite pursuing a licensing deal for a skyscraper called Trump Tower Moscow up to June 2016.
After the election, he privately expressed concern that Russia’s interference could cause the public to question his presidency’s legitimacy.
2) Presidential pressure
During a meeting with vice president Mike Pence in January 2017, incoming national security advisor Michael Flynn denied having talked to Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak about election interference. Aware of Flynn’s lie, Trump invited FBI director James Comey to twice meet in private, first seeking his loyalty, and next asking that he drop any investigation of Flynn.
3) Seeking protection
In February 2017, attorney general Jeff Sessions was considering recusing himself from election-related investigations because of his role in Trump’s campaign. The president instructed White House counsel Don McGahn to stop Sessions from recusing himself.
He was angry that Sessions disobeyed, telling advisors his attorney general should “protect” him.
Trump urged Sessions to “un-recuse” himself.
The president contacted US intelligence agency leaders, asking them to publicly dispel any suggestion that he was connected to the Russian interference.
He called FBI chief Comey again, requesting that he “lift the cloud” by stating that the president wasn’t being investigated personally.
4) Terminating troublemakers
In a May 2017 congressional hearing Comey declined to answer questions about whether the president was personally under investigation. Trump fired Comey, first claiming publicly that the termination was based on his mishandling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Yet Trump told Russian officials that he had “faced great pressure because of Russia,” which had been “taken off” by Comey’s firing.
Trump subsequently admitted in an interview that he’d planned to dump the FBI head because “this thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story.”
5) Undermining Mueller
Special counsel was appointed in May 2017. Trump predicted to advisors that it would be “the end of his presidency.”
He told aides that Mueller had conflicts of interest that barred him from serving, though the claim had already been dismissed as merit-less by the DOJ.
When the media reported in June that the president was being investigated for obstructing justice, Trump criticized the probe and DOJ in a series of tweets.
He then directed White House counsel Don McGahn to pressure the DOJ about Mueller’s alleged conflicts of interest, but McGahn declined.
