Ukraine bans Russian men from entering the country

Russian men between the ages of 16 and 60 have been barred from entering Ukraine after long-simmering tensions between the countries escalated into a clash on the Black Sea.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko tweeted Friday that restrictions on Russian nationals were taken in order to prevent the formation of "private armies which in reality are representatives of Russian armed forces."

The Air Force Will Test Laser Weapons by 2021

The U.S. Air Force is on track to test its first airborne laser weapons by 2021. Lasers attached to fighter jets, drones, or even cargo planes will attack targets on the ground and in the air at the speed of light, making the assaults nearly impossible for enemy forces to dodge.

Whoosh. Russians are racist af.

Kremlin ‘Proud’ Of ‘Operation’ To Get Trump Elected, Says Former US Ambassador To Russia
https://www.inquisitr.com/5288551/donald-trump-russia-ambassador-mcfau
l-putin/?fbclid=IwAR3sFuie4TMyNfOVcJ6B_28zBwPvvdy6vV5NYZ0dpUQmwdEIbF1sM8Lm-DE

Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul is not the first government official to accuse Trump of being a Kremlin asset. President Trump is frequently accused of cooperating and coordinating with official Moscow to sway the 2016 presidential election in his favor.

Investigating Russian election meddling and possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia is Special Counsel Robert Mueller. As detailed by a previous Inquisitr report, Mueller enjoys largely partisan support, and he has received praise from the public.

President Donald Trump, however, denies colluding with Russia.

“Well, look the Russia thing is a hoax. I have been tougher on Russia than any president, maybe ever. But than any president,” Trump said in a recent interview.

Evidence made public by the Special Counsel “both supports and undercuts this explosive allegation,” according to the Washington Post, which recently compiled an extensive list of reasons Donald Trump could be a Russian asset.

According to the publication, Trump’s long financial history with Russia — evident in his pursuit to build a Trump Tower in Moscow — gives credence to the allegations that he is compromised, as does the fact that Russian government-affiliated entities spread pro-Trump propaganda online.

Furthermore, according to the Post, documents have shown that there were over 100 contacts between the Trump campaign and Kremlin-affiliated operatives, the most infamous one being the Trump Tower meeting with a Russian national promising dirt on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump’s alleged siding with Putin against the U.S. intelligence community, the fact that the Trump campaign was “full of individuals” with Russian ties, the president’s tendency to attack intergovernmental agreements and organizations such as NATO, and other foreign policy maneuvers suggest that Donald Trump is indeed a Kremlin asset, according to the Washington Post.

According to former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, Donald Trump’s ties with Russia are deep, and the president is directly controlled directly by Vladimir Putin.

Putin, according to McFaul, pushed the so-called “deep state” theory onto Trump. The ambassador acknowledged that the Russian government is somewhat frustrated with Trump, but concluded that official Moscow is generally satisfied with how the president has performed thus far.

“We’re arguing over shutdowns and we look like fools and we don’t look like a great power right now,” he said.

“Add to that the withdrawal doctrine that Trump has done where he withdraws from everything, international agreements, that is a good thing in terms of Putin’s strategic thinking, without question,” McFaul concluded.

Hillary would have been a bad leader because she didn’t try to stop Trump after the election. Once Hillary lost the general election, there was a way to make Trump lose the Electoral College vote: Hillary could have convinced the 232 Democrats to vote for Mitt Romney, who received close to the same votes in 2012 election as Trump in 2016. If 38 of 306 Republican electors had switched to Romney in 2016, Trump loses. Two of the 306 did not vote for Trump. The two faithless electors from Texas, Bill Greene and Chris Suprun, cast their presidential votes for Ron Paul and John Kasich, respectively. And beside that, I would not have got a tax cut if Hillary won, but I get the cut if Romney is President.

Wrong. Hillary wouldn't have been any good at the job. It takes creative thinking to get things done when a President is opposed by Republican majorities in both houses of Congress. Hillary thinks like a small town lawyer. She is not mean enough. She is not tough enough. She should have kicked Trump in the balls during one of those debates, and I do mean kick, to humiliate that loud-mouth coward.

Hillary would not have amounted to anything if she had won. She wouldn't have got any of her Federal Judges or Supreme Court nominations approved unless she picked Republicans. She couldn't even execute a perfectly simple plan to stop Trump with her 232 hyper-loyal Democratic Electors from the Electoral College. What kind of plans would she come up with when she needs help from people who aren't completely on her side? She is worse at that than Trump.

It would have been sad watching Hillary be a failure in the White House. Sad for me not to get my tax cut, either, but Trump was looking after my interests.

In 2027, 82.8 percent of the tax cuts will flow to the top 1 percent. The top quintile actually receives 107.3 percent of the tax changes — because taxes actually increase for the folks in the lowest, second-lowest and middle quintiles. It’s right there on Page 5 of the report.

That's only assuming that the provisions are allowed to sunset in 2025.

If history is anything to go by, even if Trump is in the White House until 2024, it's extremely likely that the next president would be a Democrat. If Trump and/or Congress hasn't extended the tax cuts by then or made them permanent, the Democrats should have a chance to do so at that point.

Russia bristles as fresh US sanctions loom

"Reckless" and "insane" were the Kremlin's words of choice for a current push among US lawmakers to pass new Russia sanctions. In a strongly worded rebuke, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday described the threat of new sanctions as "racketeering" and warned of "harmful consequences" if they are ever passed.

"We consider this unacceptable and believe that such actions could go against the universally recognized rules of international trade," Peskov said.

U.S. Intelligence: Russia Tried to Con the World With Bogus Missile

On Jan. 23, Russian military officials held a press conference showing off what they said was a cruise missile at the center of a years-long arms control controversy between Washington and Moscow.

Except the presentation was essentially a hoax, according to a classified briefing prepared by U.S. intelligence. Neither the missile, nor its launch vehicle, nor the accompanying schematics were what Russia claimed them to be.

The alleged Russian misdirection came just days before the United States announced that it would withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty—the treaty that Russia violated, in the U.S. view.

Almost nothing Russia showed off to support its claims at that press conference had anything to do with the missile the U.S. is most interested in, according to an assessment briefing put together by the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.

Funny, thanks for the laugh little comrade

Good. So can we finally agree now that the Ukraine is not Russia then?

Quote:

2) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair, was indicted on a total of 25 different counts by Mueller’s team, related mainly to his past work for Ukrainian politicians and his finances. He had two trials scheduled, and the first ended in a conviction on eight counts of financial crimes. To avert the second trial, Manafort struck a plea deal with Mueller in September 2018 (though Mueller’s team said in November that he breached that agreement by lying to them).

Golly, SNL has never made fun of a president before!

They're singling him out, because they're part of the fake news media!

"The President tweeted in the early Sunday morning hours a threat to have the NBC late night comedy series investigated by a federal agency. The offense? Mocking him.

“It’s truly incredible that shows like Saturday Night Live, not funny/no talent, can spend all of their time knocking the same person (me), over & over, without so much of a mention of ‘the other side,'” the president wrote. “Like an advertisement without consequences. Same with Late Night Shows. Should Federal Election Commission and/or FCC look into this? There must be Collusion with the Democrats and, of course, Russia! Such one sided media coverage, most of it Fake News. Hard to believe I won and am winning. Approval Rating 52%, 93% with Republicans. Sorry! #MAGA”

Oddly, SNL didn’t even air a new episode last night, but rather a repeat that featured at least one Trump sketch (with Alec Baldwin reprising his role as Trump)."

MOSCOW — The Russian state statistics service has halted its monthly reports on the population’s real income, or income adjusted for inflation, after years of declining numbers suggested a fall in Russian’s standard of living.

Economists were already keeping a wary eye on the service, known as Rosstat, after
the appointment of a new director in December, just days after President Vladimir V. Putin criticized what he called the poor quality of state statistics.
A flurry of new, optimistic economic data followed. The new director, Pavel Malkov, revised figures for the gross domestic product in past years to show, for example, that 2016 was not actually a recession year in Russia, but that it showed modest growth.

When I see TRUMP doing something not in the interests OF THIS COUNTRY then he'll answer BY MY VOTE.

But all this bullshit about Putin - what he's doing in Russia, what he's doing in Ukraine, what he's doing in Kyrgyzstan, what he's doing in Syria, what he's doing in Venezuela - meh. Not this country's business, and not my concern.

The report cited hundreds of surveillance documents detailing Assange's time inside the embassy. The documents describe how Assange met with Russians and world-class hackers at critical moments and acquired powerful new computing and network hardware to facilitate data transfers just weeks before WikiLeaks received hacked materials from Russian operatives.

Russia demands Google stop advertising 'illegal' protests on YouTube

Russia is intensifying its pressure on Google to censor political dissent in the country. Media overseer Roskomnadzor has sent a letter to Google insisting that it stop promoting "illegal mass events" on YouTube. It didn't like that YouTube channels were using push notifications and other measures to spread information about protests, such as the recent demonstrations objecting to Moscow banning some opposition politicians from running in upcoming elections. Some users are allegedly receiving these alerts even if they're not subscribed to the channels.

The company won't have much choice but to respond. The Russian agency said it would treat continued promotion as "interference in the sovereign affairs" of the country and consider Google a "hostile influence" ostensibly bent on obstructing elections. Officials would have the "right to an adequate reaction," Roskomnadzor said.

Fallout from Russia's mysterious missile disaster suggests a nuclear reactor blew up

A mysterious explosion at a Russian weapons testing site earlier this month released various radioactive isotopes, creating a cloud of radioactive gases that swept across a nearby town, the country's state weather agency revealed Monday, and experts said the mixture removes all doubt about what exactly blew up earlier this month.

"These are fission products," Joshua Pollack, a leading expert on nuclear and missile proliferation, told Insider. "If anyone still doubts that a nuclear reactor was involved in this incident, this report should go a long way toward resolving that."

Putin says Russia's building an unstoppable nuclear-powered missile — it's probably just a really 'bad idea'

Russia claims to be developing an unstoppable nuclear-powered cruise missile, a weapon with roots in technology the US considered too expensive, too complicated, too dangerous, and too unnecessary to pursue.

"A nuclear-powered cruise missile is an outrageous idea, one the United States long ago considered and rejected as a technical, strategic, and environmental nightmare,"

Pike, who is deeply skeptical of Russia's claims, characterized a nuclear-powered cruise missile as "an act of desperation."

Russians demand free elections in Moscow, defying protest ban

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A few thousand Russians took to the streets of central Moscow on Saturday to demand free elections to the capital's city legislature on Sept. 8, defying a ban which has been enforced with violent detentions during previous protests.

Weeks of demonstrations over elections for the city legislature have turned into the biggest sustained protest movement in Russia since 2011-2013, when protesters took to the streets against perceived electoral fraud.

Chanting "Russia will be free!" and "This is our city!", protesters marched through one of Moscow's thoroughfares. Reuters witnesses estimated their number at a few thousand, while Moscow police said only 750 attended the event, which has not been sanctioned by the government, making it illegal.

A scientific sample of Putin's recent explosive diarrhea proves that Putin eats his Trump Steaks with ketchup, just like the US President likes to eat his.

It is unclear at this time whether it was Trump or Putin who influenced the other first with this odd culinary choice, but sources close to the President say they often meet to dine on overpriced steaks slathered in ketchup during secret meetings while discussing the merits of firing nukes at hurricanes.

If true, this is not only the proof of collusion the Democrats have been looking for to finally get the impeachment proceedings into full swing, but it also shows that neither Trump nor Putin have good taste.

It's a mess for Putin because when Trump is gone payback is coming. That said, Putin doesn't have the budget to fill Americas shoes. His entire budget comes from oil and it's the size of Italy's. Not enough to do more than bluff.

What will come out of this is a renewed effort to straighten NATO. All Trump succeeded in doing was to point out weakness that exposed it attack. They will cut the fat and excommunicate the bad actors. This will happen as we fix the holes in the rule of law in this country that let Trump be Trump.
