Hey! Anyone know what's going on with the show? FOX moved Fastlane into Firefly's slot! I'm mad, I LOVE Firefly! Plus the doctor is hot. Let's face it, the cast is full of hot men. All are incredibly sexy. Anyway, if someone knows what the heck is happening with the show, please let me know.

You know as much as we do KittieCat. We are all waiting to see what happens. We are hoping that another Network will see Firefly for the great show it is and pick it up.

I emailed Chris Buchanan (CEO Mutant Enemy, Inc.) yesterday to inquire. Here is what he had to say:

Meanwhile, we are finishing posting the final three episodes that were ordered by Fox, no surprise, but they're really great.

Hopefully, we'll find a home for Serenity soon.

As you can see, they're waiting just like us. All I can say is to keep sending those postcards and get the word out as to how wonderful Firefly is.

The news that we are waiting to hear from UPN is good news. It means that they have not turned it down so far. (keeps fingers crossed)

Sounds pretty encouraging, I think. It doesn't take long to say "No", but saying "Yes" requires all sorts of negotiations. So hopefully there's a shot.

Start sending your postcards to the Sci-Fi channel. That is where they will be trying to sell FireFly to now. I got this info off the FireFly Support Page:
According to 20th Century Fox, the next place they're looking to sell Firefly is the The Sci-Fi Channel.

Please send postcards with your demographic information (age, sex, income, number of adults in your household) to the following addresses. Indicate why you enjoy Firefly and why it would be a good fit for The Sci-Fi Channel.

Question about post cards...

If you send in a whole bunch, do you all send it in under your name? Wouldn't the network just throw out the postcards with duplicate names?

I doubt that they will take the time to see if they are duplicates. Most likely some middle person will stop them, read the content, count them and send a message up the pipe.

"Mr Stern you received 136 postcards today asking that Sci Fi take a look at Firefly."

Though I considered putting a different name on each, it seemed dishonest to me, kind of like stuffing a ballot box. Now I did change up handwriting style on each to make them appear different, but that is not dishonest, just me expressing a diverse writing style.
