This year has been awful.
Yesterday we had to say good bye to a lovely 13 year old Rottie we've had since she was a puppy. She'd been failing for some time but I've never had a more honest or sweet dog in my life. With losing my birthday puppy (due to an enlarged heart) just a few weeks ago, it's almost too much to bear; but we still have three shelties who are getting lots of extra love and attention. I will be happy to see 2020 in the rear view.

So sorry sister. I hope 2021 is much better. Losing pets is a nightmare for a loving family. To us it's like losing a member of the family.

Hey, THG...you're right; it's like losing a child. So hard.
We have always loved our animals because they ARE our family. Currently we have a dear friend living with us with her two dogs so we do have lots of fur-kids still around us. I am hoping that this coming year is better for all of us!

Laundry done, dried, folded and WILL be put away later. Fresh sheets on the beds...rain coming in this afternoon and leaves to rake up and haul to the burn pile before that so a busy morning in store!

Busy, satisfying day, Sunday; got leaves raked or mowed; venison picked up from the processor, brined and getting ready to season for jerky. Beat the rains....had a good day outdoors so I count that weekend in the Plus/Plus column!! Hope you had a good one too!!

HUGE Thanksgiving day here; we prepped and delivered meals for four families and hosted another (safely social distanced) at our house so today I think we'll just kick back and dine on leftovers!

Today I think I'll go through the fridge and pack up what I can into the freezer for later. It's amazing how much we have left over! Plenty of stuff for lots of soups and such...I'm thinking I'll make a pot of CHILI tonight.

Woke up to actual SNOW on the ground! First time in years here in TN! Not a BIG fan of the white stuff having grown up in WNY and lived most of my life in Colorado; so I had my fill; but it's pretty.

scary times. My husband tested positive for the virus. He says he feels okay; just like he has a cold or upper respiratory infection. Worried.

I got tested yesterday; will have results Monday. Nurse said I probably have Covid as my husband and his sister, who lives with us does as well.

Unbelievable! I tested NEGATIVE!! Both my housemates are positive!! How can this happen!!?? Anyway, we're trying to quarantine together and staying apart. Wish us luck as we hope for the best!
