Old-age problems start at middle age, whether you feel them or not.
I'm just saying - you don't need a human hand in order to target a specific demographic for a particular disease. Very few men get breast cancer. And no woman has ever had prostate cancer that I know of!
Being male, and being middle age, and being a smoker, you're a target demographic for heart disease, lung cancer, and COPD, among other things. And that's whether you feel good now or not.
And no government was involved in that. It's just nature, having its merry way with you!
(And being male, and a smoker, you're more at risk for serious COVID-19. It's not due to 'somebody' targeting male smokers, it's just the way it is.)

40 is the new 30.
I'm good.
I'd be much more concerned about my younger brother who is 250lbs overweight, and his even younger wife who is 150lbs overweight. Neither of which smoke.
Big is beautiful though... at least until they call your premature death from obesity a Covid death to bump the numbers.
All I'm saying is that if John Candy, John Belushi or Chris Farley died in 2020 they'd be labeled Covid deaths.

John Belushi's cause of death was combined drug intoxication involving cocaine and heroin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Belushi#Death
John Candy was found dead from a presumed heart attack. The exact cause is uncertain, as no autopsy was performed in Durango, Mexico. Candy smoked a pack a day of cigarettes, had heavy alcohol use, and occasional use of cocaine.

In case anyone wants to take a trip down memory lane, this is what was being predicted in May, 2020.
"Now there’s talk of mass testing for COVID-19 antibodies, screening checkpoints, contact tracing, immunity passports to allow those who have recovered from the virus to move around more freely, and snitch tip lines for reporting “rule breakers” to the authorities.
If you can’t read the writing on the wall, you need to pay better attention."
Any day now ... I'm sure of it!! (/sarcasm)
Meanwhile, there's JACK, courageously standing up for his rights! (/sarcasm)

What Trumps minions don't see is that Trump is no longer president. He is a child having a tantrum and isn't doing the countries business. Not that he ever did. What he is doing besides having a fit is he is striking out and going for the complete destruction of everything. Payback for all the imagined and deserved slights against him.
Watch how quickly Biden puts it back together. It'll be fun to watch.

Hospitals Know What’s Coming
“We are on an absolutely catastrophic path,” said a COVID-19 doctor at America’s best-prepared hospital.
https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/11/americas-best-prepa
red-hospital-nearly-overwhelmed/617156/?utm_source=pocket-newtab
“I don’t see how we avoid becoming overwhelmed,” says Dan Johnson, a critical-care doctor. People need to know that “the assumption we will always have a hospital bed for them is a false one.”
What makes this “nightmare” worse, he adds, “is that it was preventable.” The coronavirus is not unstoppable, as some have suggested and as New Zealand, Iceland, Australia, and Hong Kong have resoundingly disproved—twice. Instead, the Trump administration never mounted a serious effort to stop it. Whether through gross incompetence or deliberate strategy, the president and his advisers left the virus to run amok, allowed Americans to get sick, and punted the consequences to the health-care system. And they did so repeatedly, even after the ordeal of the spring, after the playbook for controlling the virus became clear, and despite months of warnings about a fall surge.
Not even the best-prepared hospital can compensate for an unchecked pandemic. UNMC’s preparations didn’t fail so much as the U.S. created a situation in which hospitals could not possibly succeed. “We can prepare over and over for a wave of patients,” says Cawcutt, “but we can’t prepare for a tsunami.”

Folks I know from NY do refer to Deplorables in Flyover Country as potatoheads.
And regionally, when explaining why some people are unable to perform certain tasks adequately, the phrase is used: Plant a potato, get a potato.

Every day since November 3, more than 100,000 new infections have been reported. Every day for more than two weeks, climbing hospitalizations hit another national record. Yeah. So?
Most of the shit you and everybody else would pay somebody else to do I can do on my own. If I don't know how to do it, I have a very easy time learning how.
Zero debt to anybody since August of 2005. Never have to take shit from anybody about anything. The rare occasions where I do actually decide to go back to work for a while to pad my savings I top from the bottom and make the management do what I want them to while I'm there. And even with super low paying jobs it's still easy for me to save money since my monthly bills are just about as close to zero as you can possibly get.
Don't be salty because I get to come and go as I please and have the free time that most people only get when they retire.
I've paid about $125 interest in my life and I've been semi-retired since I was 31 years old, bruh.

How can a disease with 1% mortality shut down the United States?
There are two problems with this question.
1. It neglects the law of large numbers; and
2. It assumes that one of two things happen: you die or you’re 100% fine.
The US has a population of 328,200,000. If one percent of the population dies, that’s 3,282,000 people dead.
Three million people dead would monkey wrench the economy no matter what. That more than doubles the number of annual deaths all at once.
The second bit is people keep talking about deaths. Deaths, deaths, deaths. Only one percent die! Just one percent! One is a small number! No big deal, right?
What about the people who survive?
For every one person who dies:
19 more require hospitalization.
18 of those will have permanent heart damage for the rest of their lives.
10 will have permanent lung damage.
3 will have strokes.
2 will have neurological damage that leads to chronic weakness and loss of coordination.
2 will have neurological damage that leads to loss of cognitive function.
So now all of a sudden, that “but it’s only 1% fatal!” becomes:
3,282,000 people dead.
62,358,000 hospitalized.
59,076,000 people with permanent heart damage.
32,820,000 people with permanent lung damage.
9,846,000 people with strokes.
6,564,000 people with muscle weakness.
6,564,000 people with loss of cognitive function.
That's the thing that the folks who keep going on about “only 1% dead, what’s the big deal?” don’t get.

Nice story, but it's only a .4% death rate.
But glad to see the Legacy Media is finally figuring out they cant go around lying that it's 5% or more like they did in the beginning... yanno... when I was calling bullshit from the very start.
But I see they're losing no time pulling a bunch of bullshit out of thin air to keep you terrified.
Hopefully the black mask crowd doesn't ever figure out this level of mental manipulation. The CDC are the real terrorists.
What have you done today to earn your place in this crowded world? :)

The Case Fatality Rate is actually around 3%, which puts it at ~10x deadlier than the regular flu, and on par with the Spanish Flu (2.5%).
This is with infinite ICU capacity. If 60 million rushed the hospitals all at once, the numbers would be much much worse than those outlined above.

COVID-19 hospitalizations pass 100K in US and could double soon; experts fear weary staff will be 'overrun' by patients
The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients nationwide passed the 100,000 mark Wednesday, an alarming statistic fueling enormous strain on the health care system and its brave but beleaguered workers.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if we stand at 200,000 people hospitalized in the next month," Glatter told USA TODAY. "Explosive growth of the virus has the potential to overrun our ability to provide care. Not only for patients with COVID-19 but also for basic medical conditions."

Lawmakers Unify to Give Corporate Donors a License to Kill You

A group of Democratic and Republican lawmakers just joined together to shield their corporate donors from lawsuits when they kill more workers. If this legislation passes, corporations won't be held to account for their criminal actions during coronavirus.
