Beat you to it, Ted.
Save your celebration. Just like Trump won't pay a dime to Carroll, he's not going to pay a dime of this after the appeal either.
Nope, I've mentioned and posted about it in two different threads before you posted this. One of the things the judge said is that Trumps defense was nothing more than to deny and keep denying, even though the evidence said otherwise.
He used the term out of touch with reality when describing Trump. And that's what you do moron. Trumps business in NY lost its battle last year in the courts. It was fined and his CFO was jailed. Trump university lost its battle in the courts last year. It was shut down and he was fined millions. Trumps charity was shut down and fined for the same thing.
He lost his battle in the courts in the E jean Carol case and ordered to pay 83 million in total for both trials. He lost this NY fraud case and the judge ordered him to pay 350 million. Further, each of his sons must pay 5 million each, and none can do business in NY for 3 years.
I probably missed a few but hey, there is plenty more where that came from.
Trump like you Jack just keeps saying he is innocent and the courts keep pounding the shit out of him. You say the same here, Trump will be fine. So, I keep pounding the shit out of you for it. Up your game stupid. And when all is said and done it's more like 453 million.
Stay tuned moron, so much more to come. Can you say Trump is a loser? I can, I can say Trump is a loser.

The damages against Donald Trump in his business fraud case have been accumulating interest at a 9% annual rate for several years:
On profits from the sale of the Old Post Office: interest has been owed since May 2022.
On profits from the sale of Ferry Point: interest has been owed since June 2023.
On everything else: interest has been owed since March 2019.
This all comes to $98.6 million so far, bumping Trump's fine to $454 million. It will continue rising by about $2.7 million per month while appeals are ongoing, which means Trump is likely to owe more than $500 million if he ultimately loses his appeals and the amount of the fine stands.
1 - We got to see if all the screaming about terrorists all over the world wanting to hurt us is true. Why? With Trump, the president had very soft targets all over the world. Firing a few rifle shots at golfers at a Trump course would cripple play (and money flow). A bomb at the door of a Trump building would hurt business. You wouldn't even have to hurt anybody.
Did that happen? No!
2 - A lifetime criminal put himself in the biggest spotlight in the world. BAD IDEA. His criminal past will get exposed and prosecuted.
Did that happen? The accountability for being a criminal is happening right now.

Trump will be fine. He will also be your next President.
Judge Arthur Engoron’s final, stinging judgment revealed four foundational codes that explain Trump’s (and average Trumptards') tumultuous path through life.
• Trump thinks rules are for other people.
• If reality doesn’t get the ex-president what he wants, he conjures a new one.
• Trump is compelled to fight.
• And when accountability finally arrives, he sees justice as an act of persecution by his enemies.
These Trump traits leap out of a staggering 92-page ruling handed down by Engoron, which left Trump facing a half-billion-dollar hole in his finances because of penalties and obligations in this and other cases.
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/read-the-full-civil-fraud-trial-
ruling-imposing-over-350-million-against-trump
The judge encapsulated the former president’s brazen refusal to play by the same rules under which everyone else must live — and that in this case are the key to a functioning banking and economic system — with the words: “The frauds found here leap off the page and shock the conscience.”
But evidence never swayed Trump or his Trumptards before and will not now, despite his crushing defeat. Whenever he loses, he just doubles down with a bigger falsehood, as do his Trumptards — in this case, that a fair legal process was simply a political attack by President Joe Biden.

The banks made the terms of the loans, were happy with the terms of the loans and the money was paid back.
There is no problem here. Trump didn't do anything, let alone anything wrong.
He simply won't pay a dime of this.

Defendants (1) allege that the statements were completely or substantially correct; and
(2) crow that the borrowers paid back all loans fully and on time.
Common Law Fraud
The instant action is not a garden-variety common law fraud case. Common law fraud (also known as “misrepresentation”) has five elements:
(1) A material statement;
(2) falsity;
(3) knowledge of the falsity (“scienter”);
(4) justifiable reliance; and
(5) damages.

That's not at all what's happened here, Ted.
He lost two non-criminal cases that had unabashed activist judges who told you that they were going to find a guilty verdict long before the trials began. One of them didn't even allow for a jury, not that it would have mattered where that jury pool was selected from.
Nobody is surprised at all by the outcomes of these trials. This is exactly what I knew was going to happen. This is exactly what Trump knew was going to happen.
There's still been no crimes pinned on Trump. In the case of this recent ruling, the banks in question said that they would do business with Trump again. None of them were complaining about anything Trump did, and they all got their money back.
You go ahead and try to get a loan and lie about what your car and your TV in your shitty studio apartment are worth and see if the bank takes you seriously.
Since their actual goal of intimidating Trump to stand down and not run for President did not work and is never going to work, all this amounted to was great headlines for you morons to ingest. Nothing more. Trump won't pay a dime.
Trump will be fine. He will also be your next President.
... and that's without getting a dime of my money.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, a Donald Trump appointee whose decisions have raised concerns about bias toward the former president, might have finally gone too far, wrote legal experts Norm Eisen and Joshua Kolb for Slate on Tuesday.
What's more, special counsel Jack Smith might be gearing up to ask the appellate court to step in and get rid of her.

In response to defense's filing, an attorney for the New York attorney general pushed back against Trump's plan to post a $100 million bond, arguing in their own filing that Trump and his co-defendants might attempt to evade enforcement of the $464 million judgment.
"Contrary to defendants' argument, there is substantial risk that defendants will attempt to evade enforcement of the judgment (or make enforcement more difficult) following appeal," the attorney general's filing said.
Dennis Fan of the AG's office suggested in the filing that Trump's lawyers admitted the former president lacks the money to cover the judgment.
"There is no merit to defendants' contention that a full bond or deposit is unnecessary because they are willing to post a partial undertaking of less than a quarter of the judgment amount," Fan wrote. "Defendants all but concede that Mr. Trump has insufficient liquid assets to satisfy the judgment; defendants would need 'to raise capital' to do so."
Fan argued that a full bond would be necessary in order to ensure the judgment could ultimately be collected, highlighting past behavior by the Trump Organization that he argued demonstrates the possibility they might evade the fine. He cited a $40 million transfer previously flagged by the company's independent monitor and a recent effort to list Trump's companies with Florida addresses.
"And even now, in claiming urgency, defendants have made no efforts to be forthcoming with this Court about their specific efforts to obtain a bond," the filing said.
https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-plans-post-100-million-bond-asks-stay/
story?id=107634579
Mr. Trump’s lawyers disclosed that they would be unable to secure a bond for the full amount, raising the prospect that he might soon default on the judgment if the appeals court denies his request. Without a stay, Mr. Trump’s lawyers warned, he likely would have to sell some of his New York properties “under exigent circumstances,” in what would be a punishing blow to the former president.

Trump gave top US firms staggering tax cuts, with some paying $0 or less
Some of the US’s most profitable corporations, including General Motors, Citigroup and Netflix, have slashed their tax bills in the years since the passage of the Trump tax cuts, with nearly a quarter paying rates in the single digits and 23 paying nothing, a report has found.
The 2017 law cut the top corporate income tax rate from 35% to 21%. But the new assessment of corporate tax avoidance, published on Thursday by the non-profit Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (Itep), found that during the first five years the law was in effect, many profitable public companies in the US paid a far lower rate in practice.

The courts were never going to save America from Donald Trump
No one is coming to save US democracy, except for ourselves.

https://www.vox.com/scotus/24086594/donald-trump-supreme-court-trial-i
mmunity-never-going-to-save-us
It’s not even clear that the Supreme Court is capable of standing up for the rule of law in the face of a sufficiently determined opposition.
Even before the US Constitution was ratified, one of the early Republic’s greatest statesmen saw that the courts are a paper tiger. The judiciary, Alexander Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers, “has no influence over either the sword or the purse; no direction either of the strength or of the wealth of the society; and can take no active resolution whatever.” It doesn’t even have the authority to enforce its own decisions, and “must ultimately depend upon the aid of the executive arm even for the efficacy of its judgments.”
The Court’s two most famous decisions — one its most celebrated, and one its most reviled — confirm that Hamilton was correct. The courts are weak, and it is far from clear that they can stand up to a strong political movement even when they want to. . . .
No one is coming to save us — not the courts, not the Constitution, and certainly not a process for choosing candidates that has not been used since the 1960s.
Donald Trump will be defeated, if at all, in November at the ballot box. The only thing his opponents can do to make that happen is to vote for Joe Biden, and to encourage others to do the same.
There is no other solution.

Legal expert: Trump lawyer begging for “mercy” suggests he’s “having difficulty” coming up with bond
Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers asked a judge on Tuesday to delay enforcing the $83 million defamation penalty a jury handed down in writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation trial.
Trump attorneys Alina Habba and John Sauer asked New York Judge Lewis Kaplan to extend the stay of the ruling, which is set to expire on Monday. Trump will have to pay Carroll or put up $91 million in cash bond needed to appeal the ruling.

Trump tied to firm that paid FBI’s Biden informant, says report
An American company that allegedly paid an indicted FBI informant accused of lying about Joe Biden and his son’s business dealings has ties to former President Donald Trump, according to a report.
Economic Transformation Technologies (ETT), the company, paid Alexander Smirnov, the once-FBI informant, $600,000 in September 2020, a February court filing states, reported The Guardian.
This hefty payment was made “in exchange for a stake in an Israel-based crypto trading platform” that Mr Smirnov was trying to launch, the Wall Street Journal reported in February.

'Corrupt': Jared Kushner’s overseas business deals under fire as Trump runs for president
Notably, two of the three projects Kushner is aiming to finalize this year involve the transfer of land currently owned by Albania and Serbia, meaning a member of the president's immediate family (Kushner is married to Trump's daughter, Ivanka) stands to receive money directly from foreign governments. According to the Times, the first project involves redeveloping an island off the Albanian coast into a high-end luxury resort, and the second would be a 1,500-unit apartment building, museum and luxury hotel in the Serbian capital city of Belgrade. The third — which doesn't involve a direct land acquisition from a foreign government — is a planned resort development in coastal southern Albania.

On March 25th if Trump still can't post a bond for over 450 million and he can't get a judge to give him a stay, his assets will start being seized. Today his lawyers said he can't find anyone who will post the bond. This is the finance world telling Trump you aren't worth the risk.

Donald Trump cannot fully secure his $454 million civil business fraud judgment, his attorneys said in a court filing.
The lawyers for Trump and his co-defendants in the New York fraud case made that argument as they asked a appeals court in the state to pause the judgment from coming due.

Judge Aileen Cannon (appointed by Trump in his final month) is behaving extremely predictably . . . for a Trumptard, but not in the least like a judge. Trump knew he'd eventually need a judge in his pocket, so he appointed the best one (or a judge completely loyal to Trump) for his legal needs.

Prosecutors in Trump’s classified documents case chide judge over her ‘fundamentally flawed’ order
by ERIC TUCKER, Associated Press - 04/03/24 7:19 AM ET

lassified-documents-case-chide-judge-over-her-fundamentally-flawed-order/
WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors chided the judge presiding over former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case in Florida, warning her off potential jury instructions that they said rest on a “fundamentally flawed legal premise.”
In an unusual order, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon had asked prosecutors and defense lawyers to file proposed jury instructions for most of the charges even though it remains unclear when the case might reach trial. She asked the lawyers to respond to competing interpretations of the law that appeared to accept the Republican ex-president’s argument that he was entitled under a statute known as the Presidential Records Act to retain the sensitive documents he is now charged with possessing.
The order surprised legal experts and alarmed special counsel Jack Smith’s team, which said in a filing late Tuesday that that 1978 law — which requires presidents to return presidential records to the government upon leaving office but permits them to retain purely personal ones — has no relevance in a case concerning highly classified documents.
Those records, prosecutors said, were clearly not personal and there is no evidence Trump ever designated them as such. They said that the suggestion he did so was “invented” only after it became public that he had taken with him to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, after his presidency boxes of records from the White House and that none of the witnesses they interviewed in the investigation support his argument.
“Not a single one had heard Trump say that he was designating records as personal or that, at the time he caused the transfer of boxes to Mar-a-Lago, he believed that his removal of records amounted to designating them as personal under the PRA,” prosecutors wrote. “To the contrary, every witness who was asked this question had never heard such a thing.”
Smith’s team said that if the judge insists on citing the presidential records law in her jury instructions, she should let the lawyers know as soon as possible so they can appeal.
The filing reflects continued exasperation by prosecutors at Cannon’s handling of the case.
The Trump-appointed judge has yet to rule on multiple defense motions to dismiss the case as well as other disagreements between the two sides, and the trial date remains in flux, suggesting that a prosecution that Smith’s team has said features overwhelming evidence could remain unresolved by the time of the November presidential election.
Cannon, who earlier faced blistering criticism over her decision to grant Trump’s request for an independent arbiter to review documents obtained during an FBI search of Mar-a-Lago, heard arguments last month on two of Trump’s motions to dismiss the case: that the Presidential Records Act permitted him to designate the documents as personal and that he was therefore permitted to retain them.
The judge appeared skeptical of that position but did not immediately rule. Days later, she asked the two sides to craft jury instructions that responded to the following premise: “A president has sole authority under the PRA to categorize records as personal or presidential during his/her presidency. Neither a court nor a jury is permitted to make or review such a categorization decision.”
An outgoing president’s decision to exclude personal records from those returned to the government, she continued, “constit

Funny, I am for Biden because, Trump is a national security nightmare. I am for Biden because, Trump is a want to be dictator, who tried to stay in office after he lost an election by fomenting a coup. I am voting for Biden because, Trump fills top government positions with others who are as corrupt as he is. If you want proof, check out the sentencing thread.
Now, while I could go on and on as to why Trump should not be allowed to do anything except spend the rest of his life in jail, I just add this. He and his friends are trying to destroy the rule of law.
I believe we need a strong, firm, immigration law, enforced by the rule of law. And guess what? We have the strongest immigration law in decades sitting in the house waiting to be passed, but because Trump told the republicans not to pass it, it just sits there. So, your concern about illegals overtaking America is groundless. Your concern about terrorists entering illegally is groundless and your concern about illegals committing crimes is also groundless. Unless of course you place the blame where it belongs; with Trump.
I’ve also posted several videos of a globalist explaining why immigration is important to the survival of all industrialized countries. Why, because it is more complicated than should or shouldn't we let them in. And as with all facts presented to you, you just ignore them and continue to post Russia propaganda and republican lies. We know who the trolls are here comrade.
And for the record, I've gotten all the vaccines I should get comrade signym, including the one you post about in your link here. I believe in vaccines, do you? Or do you just want to complain about illegals?

Trump posted a $175 million bond on Monday as he appeals a ruling by New York State Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, who found the former president and others associated with The Trump Organization liable of misleading insurers and lenders to obtain stronger financial terms.
But the bond was rejected by the court's filing system later that same day due to missing paperwork, including a "current financial statement." New York Attorney General Letitia James later raised questions about the "sufficiency" of the bond.

The DNC and the deep state also destroyed the justice system.
The first trial to visibly off the rails in Stalin-eaque show-trial territory was Michael Flynn's.
I was reminded today, listening to a video about something else, that the prosecution had actually withdrawn its case against Flynn, and it was a JUDGE, taking on the role of prosecutor, who insisted on going forward.
If you want to know how horribly fucked the case was, read this from Wikipedia
Quote:Which it did. IIRC the newly discovered evidence was notes by one of the interrogators who wrote that he believed that Flynn was NOT lying. This exculpatory evidence was illegally withheld from the defense.
Judge Rudolph Contreras was initially assigned to the case, and he accepted the plea bargain between Flynn and Special Counsel Robert Mueller in December 2017. One week later, Judge Contreras recused himself, and the case was reassigned to Judge Emmet G. Sullivan. Sentencing was postponed several times to allow for cooperation with the Special Counsel investigation. In a sentencing hearing in December 2018, Flynn reiterated his guilty plea before Judge Sullivan, who postponed sentencing again.
In June 2019, Flynn fired his initial counsel from the firm Covington and Burling and hired Sidney Powell. Powell moved to compel production of additional Brady material [ In the legal system of the United States, a Brady disclosure consists of exculpatory or impeaching information and evidence that is material to the guilt or innocence or to the punishment of a defendant] and newly discovered evidence in October 2019, which was denied by Sullivan in December 2019. Flynn then moved to withdraw his guilty plea in January 2020, claiming that the government had acted in bad faith and breached the plea agreement.
Quote:
In May 2020, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a motion to dismiss the charge against Flynn with prejudice, asserting that it no longer believed it could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Flynn had made false statements to the FBI or that the statements, even if false, were materially false in regards to the FBI's investigation. Sullivan then appointed an amicus, John Gleeson, to prepare an argument against dismissal. Sullivan also allowed amici to file briefs regarding the dismissal motion.
Powell filed an emergency petition for a writ of mandamus in the Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, asking (1) that Judge Sullivan be ordered to grant the government's motion to dismiss, (2) for Sullivan's amicus appointment of Gleeson to be vacated, and (3) for the case be assigned to another judge for any additional proceedings. The appellate court panel assigned to the case ordered Sullivan to respond, and briefs were also filed by the DOJ and amici. In June 2020, the appeals court panel ruled 2–1 in favor of Flynn on the first two requests, and the panel unanimously rejected the third request. Judge Sullivan petitioned the Court of Appeals for an en banc rehearing, a request opposed by Flynn and the DOJ. The appellate court granted Sullivan's petition and vacated the panel's ruling. The case was ultimately dismissed as moot after President Trump pardoned Flynn.
The "judge" hearing the case was obviously railroading a guilty verdict and should have been impeached, disbarred, and sued for damages.

Right.
It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to hear people like Rachel Maddow or Joe Scarborough or Joy Behar go on and on about what a tyrant Donald Trump is and how they're going to save Democracy by making sure that Democracy can't actually take place.
But I can't blame them. They have boner pill and cell phone ad space that needs constant filling, which means hateful little eyeballs constantly watching that lying trash on their screens for as long as possible. It's the EXACT same thing that people who watch FOX News or Newsmax all the time are doing to themselves, just coming from the other side.
If anything, journalism will just lose more integrity as time goes on and things get even more hyper-politicized.
ACTUAL news doesn't sell. Constant drama and turmoil sells. At least it would appear to me that's how we all one day found ourselves at this point... with everyone bitching and whining about everything all the time everyday.
I honestly wish that I could say people who watch Fox News or listen to WLS on the AM band everyday were getting information that was any better but it's all manipulated there too, both to ice over all the rough spots and make the other side look so reprehensibly bad that you get to walk around with that tight little ball of "5 Minute Hate" every minute of every day whether you're awake or asleep.
And nothing happens by accident. Nothing BIG like that anyhow... Even if there were probably countless little accidents here and there along the way. Even though nobody could ever be in total control of everything and account for every single scenario because of the absolute randomness of the Human Experiment, that doesn't mean that we haven't had some VERY HEAVY hands guiding the overall course of everything along the way.
If things ever get to the point where stuff is getting more extreme than those very heavy hands want them to be, they'll direct it all the other way. But if the overall public discourse here in America stays the same or gets worse, well...
