I'm not sure why, other than not being able to break a new habit they both formed when the site was down that both Second and Ted have taken to the Tag section like wildfire now. Second never used to post there at all, and Ted usually only posted random gifs and dumb political cartoons. But now they both run that thing like a printing press every day.

I know they love being able to gang up on me there and say a bunch of insults that they wouldn't even put in the RWED, knowing that it will age off fairly quickly, especially with how many posts they're both making there everyday now.

I don't suppose I'll be making updates to this thread a regular thing, since Ted and Second will likely either grow bored of posting crap in the Tags, or once I start chronicling them here they will stop. But we've already lost some real bangers, and I figure why not keep a record of everything, shall we?

Well that's exactly what he intended, and why he posted that headline 20 times. Emotional manipulation. Just like the "journalists" who wrote that article.

Nobody in the entire US on either side wants to see ICE have anything to do with Native Americans.

But our Democrats are a very, very racist party and that is evidenced by the fact that they can't go a single day without trying to emotionally manipulate minorities and pit everyone against each other.

I don't believe any of it. Not saying it isn't true and that it wouldn't actually explain a lot, but if Aliens had taken over our society and run it all into the ground by taking over all the political positions over the last 100 years, Trump is either already one of them and just playing by a script and we're all being taken for a ride, or he's not going to be able to take them all down by himself and he's on borrowed time. The statistical probability that we would ever be visited by an alien race with technology advanced enough to reach us is so low it might as well be negative. For so many reasons. But even if there were other humanoid type species out there, they'd almost certainly have to fight the same instinctual needs that we could never outgrow on pace with the technological advancments and how fast they accellerate, and they'd be just as prone to one day nuke the planet or bring about some other doomsday scenario as we are long before they ever figured out how to bend time and space and travel the distance necessary to even find new life without generations of people living and dying on those ships before they got from A to B.

Any time anybody brings up Aliens they show us grainy ass Bigfoot footage and want us to swallow that while anyone with half a brain knows that literally everything records in at least 1080p these days if not 4k or higher. President Donald Trump blundered his way through a grilling surrounding U.S. responsibility for the bombing of an Iranian elementary school.

During a press conference held at Trump’s golf resort in Doral, Florida, on Monday, the president was asked about reports that found an American Tomahawk cruise missile was likely what destroyed an Iranian girls’ school on Feb. 28. The strike killed at least 175 people, many of whom were children.

Trump, 79, interrupted the reporter who asked the question, CNN’s chief congressional correspondent Manu Raju, saying, “Well, I haven’t seen it, and I will say that the Tomahawk, which is one of the most powerful weapons around, is sold and used by other countries.”

“And whether it’s Iran, who also has some Tomahawks—I wish they had more—but whether it’s Iran or somebody else... a Tomahawk is very generic, it’s sold to other countries," Trump rambled. “But that’s being investigated right now.”

The Australian Department of Defense said in late 2024 that only three countries currently have Tomahawk cruise missiles: the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

The U.S. also approved the sale of 400 Tomahawks, which are solely manufactured by the American company Raytheon, to Japan in 2024 and 163 missiles to the Netherlands in 2025.

CNN’s Erin Burnett reported on Monday evening that “neither Israel nor Iran uses Tomahawk missiles, according to experts.”

Even Fox News’ national security expert Jennifer Griffin called out the president’s remarks, saying, “It seems highly unlikely that it would be anyone’s Tomahawk other than a U.S. Tomahawk that hit that school, and I think the president knows that.”

When asked about whether Iran possesses Tomahawk missiles and how they would have acquired them, if they do, the Pentagon referred the Daily Beast to the White House.

Minutes later, another reporter, New York Times White House correspondent Shawn McCreesh, asked the president about his confusing response.

“You just suggested that Iran got its hands on a Tomahawk and bombed its own elementary school on the first day of the war,” McCreesh said. “But you’re the only person in your government saying this. Even your defense secretary wouldn’t say that when he was asked, standing over your shoulder on your plane on Saturday. Why are you the only person saying this?”

“Because I just don’t know enough about it,” Trump replied, interrupting the reporter again. “I think it’s something that I was told is under investigation, but Tomahawks are used by others, as you know.”

“Numerous other nations have Tomahawks; they buy them from us,” he added. “But I will certainly, whatever the report shows, I’m willing to live with that report.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, 45, said aboard Air Force One alongside Trump on Saturday that they were looking into the school strike, but did not completely echo the president’s claims that it was done by Iran.

“We’re certainly investigating,” the former Fox & Friends Weekend host said. “But the only side that targets civilians is Iran.”

The president interrupted him, saying, “We think it was done by Iran.” “They have no accuracy whatsoever,” he added.

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment on the president’s remarks.

Pentagon Report: U.S. Military Fired Missile at Elementary School in Iran

Despite attempts by Trump to claim otherwise, the U.S. military was responsible for killing at least 175 in a strike on a school in Iran.

A U.S. military investigation determined in its preliminary findings that the United States conducted an attack on an Iranian elementary school that killed at least 175 people, most of them children, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the ongoing inquiry. The findings directly contradict assertions by President Donald Trump that Iran struck the school.

The lethal strike on the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school building was the result of a “targeting error” by the U.S. military, which mistook the facility for part of an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy base that was adjacent to the school, according to one of the U.S. officials who spoke to The Intercept on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

U.S. Central Command attacked the school based on long outdated coordinates for the strike provided by another defense agency, one of the officials told The Intercept. While the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school was once connected to the IRGC base by roads, the building was partitioned off by 2016, according to an investigation by New Lines Magazine.

The attack, which came after a yearlong effort by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to gut programs to reduce civilian casualties, killed more civilians than any other strike in Trump’s second Iran war. It was “colossal negligence,” one of the current government officials said.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that Iran was responsible for the strike, despite mounting evidence to the contrary. “In my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran,” Trump told reporters March 7. “They have no accuracy whatsoever. It was done by Iran.”

Wes Bryant — who served until last year as the senior analyst and adviser on precision warfare, targeting, and civilian harm mitigation at the Pentagon’s Civilian Protection Center of Excellence — called the attack on the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school a “failure in fundamental targeting doctrine and standards.”

Bryant, who called in thousands of strikes across the greater Middle East as a Special Operations joint terminal attack controller, said it was common to rely on outdated imagery while conducting operations.

“As a targeter, the imagery and initial intelligence data you receive on a potential target or target set is just the start. You don’t prosecute based solely off any organization — NGA or otherwise — giving you an image and saying they have intelligence that it’s an enemy location,” he told The Intercept, referring to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, which specializes in such imagery. “You corroborate with other intelligence, and you conduct as near real time as possible characterization of that target as well as the civilian presence and risk to include collateral damage analysis risk of civilian casualties.”

U.S. Central Command refused to comment on the preliminary findings of the inquiry. “It would be inappropriate to comment given the incident is under investigation,” a CENTCOM official told The Intercept by email.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency did not immediately reply to requests for comment on their potential involvement in providing intelligence that led to the strike.

Hey Ted and Second...

I appreciate you both not posting in the tags today, and I will stand by my word and not post anything insulting or political in the tags myself either. You probably noticed I did a little "window dressing" there and spammed a Firefly picture to age off all of our bullshit.

It appears that we've got about 5 or 6 people who have come back already, and although I don't recognize any of them yet myself, who knows? Maybe even more will come back if the big damn surprise is something worth celebrating. I don't want to scare anybody off with our hostilities toward one another. Our bullshit kind of bled into other nooks and crannies of the site over the years after everyone else left.

If you're willing, I'm willing to keep all the politics and bullshit in the boundaries of the RWED toilet where it belongs and leave the rest of the site for people who love the show and don't want to get political. That's not to say they're not welcome in here too, but I hope for their sake that most of them are still sane enough not to want to dive back into this cesspool with us.

I think we should probably take that a step further, and if we have anything even remotely political regarding topics in other forums like Cinema and Sci-Fi, we should post that in the RWED as well and leave those forums for people to post about Movies, TV Shows, Books and anything else that they actually like instead of posting in those forums to shit on new stuff coming out that we don't like.


I think I'm kind of excited most for Brenda, TBH. Desperate to rebuild his fortune, Donald Trump asked his political supporters to become his business partners. Those who trusted him most got hurt the worst.

Vadim Fistikan started working at 17 and built the kind of savings that usually takes years of overtime, delayed purchases and adult restraint: more than $100,000 by the time he hit his late twenties. In 2021, the Washington State truck driver eyed a house near family in Florida, with a pool and a waterway that led to a river, and then the ocean. “We were thinking about pulling the trigger,” he says. “Then I saw this whole Trump thing going on.”

This Trump thing was the Trump Media and Technology Group, the company behind Truth Social. In October 2021, the president unveiled the business, promising a censorship-free platform and giving supporters a chance to invest via a special purpose acquisition company. Shares of the SPAC jumped 1,650% in two days, then fell about 30% by the start of the third. To Fistikan, that looked less like a warning than a discount. “I’m like, ‘I’m getting in,’” says the three-time Trump voter who added to his bet until it hit $205,000.

That investment is now worth $30,000.

Fistikan logged onto Truth Social last fall to voice his frustrations. “I’m like, ‘Hey, this is a scam,’” he says. “And a lot of people were like, ‘No, you’re just a Trump hater.’ I’m like, ‘No. I was on board since day one. … I’m now broke.”

He’s not alone. Katherine Chiles, the SPAC’s former chief financial officer, now uses her Truth Social account to promote a song accusing the president of selling out his supporters—“Donald Trump is a b----.” Chad Nedohin, a worship leader who once moonlighted as the unofficial captain of Trump Media’s retail shareholders, now describes the company as a vehicle for enriching the president and his inner circle. “We’re just poor cattle to them,” Nedohin says. “He doesn’t care about anyone.”

Throughout the president’s life, his most remarkable creations—whether casinos in Atlantic City, public offerings on the New York Stock Exchange or political movements across America—all relied on one thing: believers. In 2021, Trump left the White House with an abundance of them—and quickly got to work monetizing. To do so, he followed a process with three distinct stages. First, the invention: come up with a business concept, invest almost nothing, take a big chunk of equity. Second, the sale: stir up a frenzy among the faithful, cash out what you can. Third, the mess: watch the assets collapse, salvage the scraps. From 2021 to 2025, five Trump-family ventures reached public investors: Trump Media, World Liberty Financial, Trump’s memecoin, Melania Trump’s memecoin and American Bitcoin.

Now, they are all hitting the messy stage. Trump Media shares are down 89% from their peak. World Liberty tokens have fallen 82%. The president’s memecoin is off 98%. I thank god for the scams that happened to me when I was young and the stakes were low. Because of those scams my default is not to trust anyone until they have earned that trust. Nearly everyone you ever meet in life is lying to you, from one degree to another. My only sympathy for this guy lies in just how horribly late in life he learned that lesson, and just how high those stakes were because he never was put into that position much earlier in life. He likely lived a very sheltered life as a kid with parents who gave him pretty much whatever he wanted.

And I'm about 99% sure that if this story is true and that he is a real person, he's about 1 week away from getting served with divorce papers if he hasn't gotten them already. Even if his wife was all on board too, she's not going to go down with the ship. That might even be a rare occasion where I say that's for the best too, considering there are kids lives that have also been majorly fucked in this deal too.

This is not confusing, difficult, or challenging language. We can all read it and understand it. You do not need a Ph.D. It simply states that everyone born here is a citizen if they are subject to the laws in this country. The many immigrants that Trump wants to bash with his executive order are clearly subject to U.S. laws as illustrated by the daily arrests and imprisonments by ICE and other law enforcement agencies.

So the four Supreme dissenters do not even try to argue otherwise. Instead they make a convoluted and fractured argument that the 14th Amendment language of “subject to” means your parents had a fixed and permanent location (domicile) in the US and the intention of remaining here.

Okay, I made up that second part, but he did, in fact, order Bessent to cut off all trade.

This is not going to happen.

Presidents have a lot of discretionary authority on tariffs and trade, more than they should, but you do not have the right as president to impose tariffs on a country just because you don’t like their defense spending or you think that they haven’t been nice enough to you.

So this would not fly even in the Trump administration. Even with a supine Congress and a permissive Supreme Court, this is not going to happen. Also, Spain is part of the European Union. So this is like Europe declaring “we’re cutting off all trade with Florida”: they can’t do that. And also, there’s a lot of U.S. business with Spain. In fact, Spain is one of those countries with which we run a trade surplus. So U.S. business would be howling.

So this is all a non-event; this is not something that is real. Except that the President of the United States did say this.

It was completely crazy, and that’s the story that we should be taking from this. It’s not really at this point about economics. It doesn’t even make sense to talk about Trump Administration policies, let alone ideology.

What we have is President Sundowner. I mean, this is completely insane stuff. In any kind of normally functioning political system, in any kind of normally functioning party environment, we would have a massive bipartisan call across the aisle, across almost everybody except for a handful of members of Congress who are themselves crazy, to say okay, this guy is non compos mentis. We cannot leave the fate of the United States or the world in the hands of somebody who is completely irrational, who is making demands and believing himself to have powers that he does not.

And of course, instead, not only does everybody pretend that he’s still a rational human being, but the Republican Party, the Trump administration are full-on engaged in trying to build a personality cult.

What this says to me is that the problem is a lot bigger than Trump. Something is fundamentally wrong with America, and at this point you don’t have to go through complicated justifications. You can just say something is wrong with a country and a system that lets this guy remain in a position of power.
