Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee ( D - TX )
The dumbest elected official ever?
Same woman who asked if the Mars Pathfinder could take pics of the US flag. The flag planted ... on THE MOON!
Bing or Google, and see for your own self.

What a deeply regrettable - and amusing - display of stupidity.

Had Palin or Bachmann said this, it'd be every bit as laughably stupid.
However, we'd be hearing far, FAR more about it here, and in the MSM.
And everyone knows it.

I'm sure if the Democratic National Committee were to announce her as one of their bright stars for the future and one of their main leaders, you WOULD be hearing more about it, at least on Fox. It wouldn't make her any less dumb, though. And hearing about Bachmann's and Palin's gaffes doesn't make THEM any less dumb, either.
Your point seems to be that they aren't any worse than her. But is "dumb" really the standard you want to hold them to?
The day Sheila Jackson Lee is picked as a VP candidate, or is pegged as one of the rising new leaders of her party, please feel free to alert all of the media to how dumb she is. I'll even join you.

Exactly as much proof as you have of this:

You can SAY that's how it would happen, but you can't PROVE it, can you? Can you show me them saying these exact same words, and us hearing "far, FAR more about it here, and in the MSM"?
You're dealing in hypotheticals, and asking for proof of a hypothetical situation.
You really are funny and pathetic, casting about for ANY desperate thing you can hang your beliefs on.
Seek professional help, quick. And put down the meth pipe, fatty.

Because meth more accurately explains Rappy's creeping psychosis, his mental breakdown, his loss of reasoning, his seeing conspirators everywhere, that's why.
But if you prefer crack, that's your choice. It's your body, after all. Have at it, Wulfie - all the crack you can smoke. There is NEVER any leftover crack.

No, you make a claim that has zero credibility.
When has FOX ever credited Palin ( or anyone ) for things Obama said ?
Or vica versa ?
PROVE IT, OR STFU
I wasn't dealing in a hypothetical, but basing my observation from a long history of the MSM / Hollywood hyping up and exaggerating everything a conservative says, but ignoring a similar remark if it comes from a Left winger.

You can't prove any of it, because it's all imaginary.

I have exactly as much proof as you have.
If you take that as a "No", then that means you have NO proof of your claims either.

FauxNews has tried to "credit" Obama with the Bush DOJ's New Black Panther Party voter-intimidation fiasco. Have you been asleep for a week? It's been all over FauxNews. Only they aren't reporting the actual story, that the charges were downgraded at the order of the BUSH Department of Justice, BEFORE Obama was inaugurated.
So there is a history at FauxNews of blaming Obama for the actions and words of others.

Decision not to pursue criminal charges was made by Bush DOJ, not Obama
Bush DOJ, not Obama, made decision not to pursue criminal charges. Before President Bush left office, the Department of Justice filed a civil complaint asking for an injunction against the New Black Panther Party and some of its members. In his May 14 testimony before the Commission on Civil Rights, Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez explained that the Bush administration's Justice Department "determined that the facts did not constitute a prosecutable violation of the criminal statutes" but did "file a civil action on January 7th, 2009." From Perez's testimony:
PEREZ: Moving to the matter at hand, the events occurred on November 4th, 2008. The Department became aware of these events on Election Day and decided to conduct further inquiry.
After reviewing the matter, the Civil Rights Division determined that the facts did not constitute a prosecutable violation of the criminal statutes. The Department did, however, file a civil action on January 7th, 2009, seeking injunctive and declaratory relief under 11(b) against four defendants.
Obama DOJ actually obtained judgment against individual carrying weapon at polling place
May 2009: DOJ obtained default judgment against Shabazz for carrying weapon outside polling station. On May 18, 2009, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania entered default judgment against Samir Shabazz. In his May 14 testimony before the Commission on Civil Rights, Perez stated that the Justice Department had obtained "sufficient evidence to sustain the charge" of voter intimidation against Shabazz, identified by Perez as "the defendant who had the nightstick," and that "the default judgment was sought and obtained as it related to him." Perez testified:
PEREZ: Based on the careful review of the evidence, the Department concluded that the evidence collected supported the allegations in the complaint against Minister King Samir Shabazz. The Department, therefore, obtained an injunction against defendant King Samir Shabazz, prohibiting him from displaying a weapon within 100 feet of an open polling place on any Election Day in the City of Philadelphia or from otherwise violating Section 11(b).
The Department considers this injunction to be tailored appropriately to the scope of the violation and the constitutional requirements and will fully enforce the injunction's terms.
No voter has alleged intimidation stemming from incident
Civil Rights commissioner: "[N]o citizen has even alleged that he or she was intimidated from voting." In an April 23 hearing on the DOJ's decision in the case, Civil Rights Commissioner Arlan Melendez stated that "no citizen has even alleged that he or she was intimidated from voting," which "was clear to the Justice Department last spring, which is why they took the course of action that they did." From the April 23 Civil Rights Commission hearing:
MELENDEZ: My remarks are going to be brief because I think far too much of our time has been consumed on this seemingly unnecessary investigation. Citizens should be able to vote without intimidation, and it is our Commission's duty to investigate complaints from citizens that their voting rights have been infringed.
In this case, however, no citizen has even alleged that he or she was intimidated from voting at the Fairmount Avenue Polling Station in 2008. This absence of voter intimidation was clear to the Justice Department last spring, which is why they took the course of action that they did.
This absence of voter intimidation was clear to the members of this Commission as well, or at least it should've been. Our investigation has been going on now for the better part of a year. We have wasted a good deal of our staff's time, and the taxpayers' money.
Main Justice: "[N]o voters at all in the Philadelphia precinct have come forward to allege intimidation." A July 2 Main Justice article reported that "no voters at all in t

Another amazing piece of stupidity:
"The Dutch—they are known, and the Norwegian—they are known for dikes and for cleaning up water..."
- Sarah Palin, June 16, 2010
A lot of dikes in Norway, eh, Sarah?
Oddly, a Google News search of "sarah palin norwegian dutch dikes" turns up no reports, but does bring up "SarahPAC.com"...
I can't believe the MSM didn't jump all over this particular brand of idiocy! It should have been everywhere! Rappy swears they'd cover it to death if she ever said anything stupid!

If Bush "dropped" the case, how come it was still around for Obama to drop ? Is it customary to go back and re-drop old cases ?
The Dutch are known for their dikes. Sarah was / is right.

You mean she was half right. What about "the Norwegian"? Are THEY known for their dikes?
Hell, you could argue that Ms. Lee was half right, too, since the Vietnamese ARE working side by side. And of course, if John Boehner had said something this dumb (and he has), you'd argue that HE was right, too.
