I posted this on the official site as well, so my apologies for the redundancy (where's that department of redundancy department again?) But I've been working on a FireflyMUD in my spare time. It's still a long way off as I only get an average of 1/2 hour a day to work on it . But I've been working diligently and here my website for updates and so-forth.

Well, I have only the vaguest notion of what a MUD is, but it sounds cool and, if you get it up and running, I might just have to play.

Very cool, looks like I'll have yet another fun way to split my time. :) We are currently working on some world info for an oh-so-unofficial Gurps Firefly, but that is time intensive enough I was dispairing, thank for the work and posting on your MUD.

Call me naive, call me ignorant, even call me cute if you want, but can someone please give me a quick little explanation of what MUD is? So far I’ve only come up with wet dirt and I don't think that's quite right.

Actually MUD stands for "Multi-User Domain". It's a place you can connect to from the internet (with telnet or another MUD-client) and chat/interact with other players in a text-base computer generated environment. You can go to Mudconnect.com to get more information.

Okay, this is partially a self-bump, brining this thread back from the archives, and partially a self-plug for my MUD. (wow, that sound's really dirty!) Anyway, here' the gist of it -

I NEED HELP!!!!

Not just the mental kind either. I'm looking for builders, people with a creative vision and the ability to describe a room (area) exquisitely in one mere paragraph. Don’t worry if you don’t know how, or have never been on a mud, it’s easy. All you need is a telnet client (most versions of windows come with it) access to the internet, patients (not she-who-shoots-people) and a creative brain.
