Wow, a whole hiatus thread. So it's not just me? I should have gone with my instinct earlier this year and just put Jayne back on the shelf insteading doing my "going, going, gone" routine. It's all good; I'm keeping very busy IRL. I'll be visiting FFFn, too, but I am finding it impossible to check in regularily. Don't be surprised if I say hello at you on MSN occasionaly. Friends are an important commodity.

If they pull me down to Georgia for work next month, will anybody be within visiting distance? (I may just be wishing hard, here)

Decoy, the Capn and I will be passing THROUGH Georgia on May 18th/19th (we spend the night near Atlanta the 18th) as Decoy and I make our move from Florida to Indiana ...

If you are anywhere on our route there's gotta be a way we could do something.

There were enough people who wanted a break to do so ... will you be willing and able to join back with us in June? I HOPE! But don't hurt yourself, that's more important.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for Decoy - he will be starting school soon at Roadmaster, to drive the big rigs ... and then out on the road, probably doin' long hauls. Goodness knows he might end up in someone's neighborhood a time or too, we don't know yet.

Guys this is only a break, not an ending ... I keep telling myself.

Raven, Never know - set it up see what happens...

Me, I hit www.Storycrafter.com and started picking out stories to audition for - just to keep my hand in and my mental gears well lubricated. I'll try not to strip 'em before June. That is a wonderful playground ...

think of this as information ... and a bump.

Decoy - knock on wood - will probably start school on Monday next, for truckdriving. He's gonna be in school for three weeks, long days and then on the road away from home two weeks at a time, for 6 weeks.

So he's kinda, well, not going to be around much. Give him warm and fuzzy thoughts, cause this is kinda important.

Me, same old, same old ... Hanging on Storycrafter, if you wanna see what I am doing, look for the Kult (I'm Kyra and I suspect that storycrafter is taking on new ones.) and Final Exam which is closed and very active. DragonFly is going to start one of these days if you want to read along on the spin-off ... And we may be short a couple players, so ping CapnRahn if interested, here or at StoryCrafter.com.

I think that if gummy bears were meant to be used in activities other than just good snacking than they would have more warnings on their labels.

But anywho, sorry for the no cal no show gun bunnies, been AWOL to RT I'm afraid, I got a new job and life got me under its thumb for awhile and low and behold I return and everyone is on SPRING BREAK at the boards... a heck of one too, might think of joining you all so long as you promise there'll be no Carson Daly.

I had actually expected to post more, but I have been busy -

preparing for the move, sold some jewelry

currently got bronchitis or some such nasty affliction that has me waking and sleepin' at weird hours and not comfortable at any time.

Best news of all -

Decoy has passed all of his tests at the Roadmaster Truck Driving School and as of Friday has earned his trucking license. And true to their word that anyone who passes has a job, the trucking company he Wanted to work for has agreed to hire him. They have an office within 3 miles of where we will be living in Indianapolis after the move. Congrats! to him, that is a large deal ...

He will be working for Werner (if nothing changes) if you want to watch out for him while he's a beginner

All goes well, just the move left and me finding work.

I survived driving over 1000 miles in one week and midterms, so I'm still here... my sanity may be another issue (pun on characters aside). Seven more weeks of class, huzzah, and not too much longer after that... we get to start again, yay.

I got me some a that spring fever. I suppose a trip to the desert is in order. I am going to work extra hours every day so that I can build up time off for later. I'm really lucky living in Utah... easy access to so many great geographical features; serene desert, towering mountains- high low and in-between, lush flowering valleys, rivers full of fish and taoists, lakes, streams, redrocks, i.e. Moab and surrounding areas, Zion, Bryce, and other National and State parks... some of which, the lesser known are even better than the National parks. Shhh that's a secret. In fact all of this is a secret. Don't tell lots of people, or they will come for sure and be there throwing trash and noise around when you are there, or I am. I've just had an apostrophe! I mean an epiphany. A mountain bike. I need a mountain bike. I haven't have new bike in almost 15 years. My last bike, I still have it... it's upside-down in the garage. But it weighs like 40 pounds and it's a solid body, pure steel. ugh. very heavy.

Me? - feeling a bit better. While stuck at in the house, I 'kitbashed' several new ships - other than that I have been rather like a hermit-like sessle creature, so to speak.
Oh yeah! - Cathy enjoyed her trip to the Carribiean with her mom. She really needed a GRAET vacation from work {thinga have been quite a bit harried the last year at Claires!}

I would tell you what's new, but there isn't anything new. Still work, school, work, school. A new friend, but not *friend* so don't get your hopes up. I started writing Heartbroken: Meili Long using Rowan and found myself careening back to the first post on Gunrunners.

I've seen some of you around, but haven't had a chance to get back. Ciara, I got your note, but wasn't sure how to respond to the "highly regarded" so I didn't. I mean Heartbroken was fun, but it was just something I wrote.

Maniac's been trying to give me snoogles on the taglog... I think. I did chat with Squee recently too. She's doing pretty well, but is as up to *HERE* with school as I am. And DeeDee and I traded some lines too about beads and cats and friends in crisis...

But you know, it's not the same. Vacation is nice, but my fingers are starting to get a little itchy.

Looking forward to June... probably more than I'm looking forward to September. Dong ma?

Ah my friends -

Me has been gearing up to make the move from Florida to Indiana, and cutting all my ties here. Wrapping things up, quitting my job, saying goodbye to so many people and places from the last 18 years. And getting ready to go home ...

It is a sad, busy and scary time for me right now, and I miss you all. I am sooooo looking forward to our reunion in June.

Decoy bless his heart, will be on the road by then. We are searching desparately for the best ways to allow him to keep up with us and participate. We have a couple of options, one of which is just to have me email him your posts and have him email me responses to post back. That is worst case, but will do ... and he misses you too, trust me.

Ahh, Channain, you are correct in your snuggle assessment. Miss you too. I come here and do the same thing that you do... scan the page for the Gunrunners posts, then over to the Firefly Universe link. It's an almost daily ritual... I've been weaning myself away till June though. It was too hard coming several times a day.
And Capn, I thought I smelled somethin' fresh. Was that you? I need to reread a touch my own self.
