It's Firefly Friday! Act I of 'Trash' is online!

It's Firefly Friday, Act I of 'Trash' is now online. Instead of making a whole new feature out of the Act I posting, I've combined both the Teaser and Act I into a single feature. In the coming weeks, subsequent acts will be appended to what's already online.

Here's a very rough estimate on the posting schedule for the remaining Firefly scripts. I say "rough" because it could change at any moment depending on how things go.

3/14 - 'Trash' Teaser
3/21 - 'Trash' Act I
3/28 - 'Trash' Act II
4/4 - 'Trash' Act III
4/11 - 'Trash' Act IV

4/18 - 'The Message' Teaser
4/25 - 'The Message' Act I
5/2 - 'The Message' Act II
5/9 - 'The Message' Act III
5/16 - 'The Message' Act IV

5/23 - 'Dead or Alive' Teaser
5/30 - 'Dead or Alive' Act I
6/6 - 'Dead or Alive' Act II
6/13 - 'Dead or Alive' Act III
6/20 - 'Dead or Alive' Act IV

If you're wondering, I'm told that 'Dead or Alive' is a 'lost episode' written by Cheryl Cain ('War Stories') that was shelved due to creative and production problems.

There's enough stuff to give you all something to look at until Summer. Maybe by then FOX will air the actual episodes.

This is great news, i have friends in the UK and i am arranging to get the episodes that are being aired there, on tape. And dont you worry ill watch them when they air too, ill do my part, but if any of you want to get your hands on those im more than happy to spread the love, Maybe we should have a really BIG shindig with the episodes. It's just cruel, okay not so much. We've all been starving for more Firefly that our stomach's have shrunken. These fine people have decided to supply us with small morsels of nutrients untill we can fully consume Firefly again. For that I personally thank you.

Haken, are these scripts from Greg, the guy who won them on ebay?

He did say he wanted to go over them and polish them up before releasing them, and I figure this is your guys way of keeping fan-interest high until we get the unaired episodes on TV.

By the way, now that more scripts are being sold over ebay, will you abandon this idea if someone else puts them up elsewhere? If that happens, we may as well have them nice and tidy on this site where most people will know where to find them.

But hey, thanks, this is awesome. Going to read it now.

This is a shiny thing indeed! I could almost hear the twangy Firefly music as I read (and, owing to some quirky perversity of my own imagination, it keeps mixing with the first chords which open "South Park" episodes, making me confused).

What a fine ep this seems (SO FAR, I think I like it better than "Heart of Gold." For what such comparisons may be worth).

Cool, though agonizing, idea to "air" these on a weekly basis.

This is a great idea. I can't wait until next week! Need more Firefly. Is it Friday yet? So far this is a great episode. Very exciting. It's too bad you can't put whole episodes up at a time. Joss needs to write more just for the internet. He doesn't have to make it, just write the script and post it. Or he could write a script and have someone write it into book form and sell it. Nice little book franchise. I'm getting off topic. My point was supposed to be THANK YOU!

Any idea where in the story arc 'Dead or Alive' was intended to go?

I guess we'll be able to figure it out when we finally read the script, but just curious if you had more info on this "lost episode"
