MOH!!!! Back from the great beyond! We missed ya, Kristin. Well, I can say FOR SURE that Ryan and I will be there WHENEVER the shindig is held. Ryan will be making shirts again this year, so I guess I'll be nursing his burned fingers and covering my ears when the curses start to fly! He plans on making PA Shindig 2005 shirts as well as something Rick-inspired. I will be making another game or 2, and will be making a new and improved Jeopardy board. (Yes, I still have the bells!) Start thinkin' of your charade ideas now, kids! MOH, anything you need for help, let us know. You know we've got your back. This is almost as exciting as Serenity, which I'm sure will be the talk of the farm. Where's the nearest theater so we can go en masse? I guess we'd have to call ahead and let em know 40 or so rabid Browncoats will be descending on the theater! Ha ha ha!SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINY!!!

I just voted for the October 8th weekend, too. Although, I do seem to remember it getting pretty darn chilly at around 2am or so... Oh, well. I guess we'll just have to have another roaring fire - and more smores! Is it bad that I am almost as excited about the shindig as I am about the movie premier?

That's a common side effect of attending the first PA Shindig. Attending the second PA Shindig should temporairly clear up any lingering side effects. ;p .....of course, then you'll wanna come to the third.

We'll just need to get more blankets, have a bigger better bon fire(possibly in a metal barrel), and I'll try to be smarter this time and actually have the hot cocoa, tea, and coffee down at the barn area while we watch episodes.

I didn't really get cold until about 3 am when I fell asleep during Out of Gas and my blanket slipped off of me, THEN I was cold. :P
Actually I would love to have it in September for the weather, but Dragon*Con and the premier already have dibs on that month pretty much. :(

Hehe, well tell Ryan to be careful with that iron or to take up a safer process like silk screen. To the best of my knowledge those silk screens can't burn you. ;)

Since this here thread is on the front page today, I thought I'd bring this up...

Maaaaybe we can get some enterprising Browncoats to create prizes for whomever wins all the great Jeopardy-like games.

The reason I say this is because we can make more money auctioning off DVD sets rather than giving them out as prizes, and it will help prevent people from picking up sets they don't care about. Which will also prevent any of these sets finding their way into non-Browncoaty hands, which would be bad.

I've already filled up my desk with sets, and I'm anticipating even more before October.

Hey all just wanted to let you know that I have this years t-shirts designed and ready to head into production. I will sadly have to charge this time for shirts. However, anything I make over cost of supplies will go to MOH to help with expenses. If anyone wants a shirt let me know and email me at Ripper5X5@hotmail.com. I will be making special limited edition "What Would Rick Do" shirts which will be a little pricier. Anway price go as follows:

2nd annual Pa Shindig shirts - $10 sizes (M,L,XL)

Oh no! Oct 8/9 is the weekend of The Witching Hour, the 2005 Harry Potter convention. I wish there were another weekend to choose from after the premiere! Unfortunate timing, that.

(plus, having the Shindig so soon after the movie hardly gives the fans a chance to develop their latest thories, and we costumers are going to have to go to hard burn to have anything done in time!)

October is best, merely due to the timing of the BDM. We want to have the shindig *after* we've all seen it, and can talk about it. Also, it will still be in theaters, so there is the possibility of going as a group.

We're still planning on holding the Shindig Columbus Day weekend, at MOH's swinging abode, right? After the 6/23rd screening, I realized I was being an idiot and that there was no place I'd rather be the weekend afer the Serenity premiere than with you guys.

Is there anyone living in the Philly area that could give me a ride? I'll be dorming it up in University City. I'd gladly help out in any way a penniless, vehicle-less college student can. :D

Well the First Annual PA Shindig (October 2004) took place just a hop skip and a jump away from you, just south of Quakertown. :)

Thanks for the site and info! It's too bad that it's happening around the time of my wedding. I'm going to have to miss the gathering, since my fiance is not a sci-fi fan in any way.

I'm so stoked that it's like... RIGHT near me. Well, probably a good 30 minute drive, but awesome. I don't even know anyone who's a Star Trek fan where I live.

Yup you and Ryan called floor space way back in February and I have you on the list.
In fact, tonight I'm going to email everyone that secured a much sought after floor space to let them know they do in fact have a spot. If someone doesn't get an email, they didn't get a spot....which they should already know because if they didn't get a spot they didn't ASK or didn't ask in time and I told them they were too late. :)

Alrighty then...I didn't get an email...but you saw it here folks, spots are claimed for Ryan and I! Thanks MOH. I'm actually shocked I remembered, considering that I'm the Priestess of Procrastination. Just another of my titles, following slightly behind "Board Bitch" in the popularity poll.
