Hello there.
Down below’s the address of our crew's spoof flanfilm site.
There’s not much to it yet, but I’m here to tell ya it’s worth a laugh.

This is great! The effects were surprisingly well done and the humour well executed. Can't wait for the full length episode spoof.
Someone should put this up on whedonesque.com

Now THAT looks to be a fine piece of spoof! Is there somewhere other than DragonCon we'll be able to see it eventually?

Looks like it might be fun.
There`s no info/contact link on the website, you might want to look into that if you are running the website

**edited to add, contact is via the info link and clicking on the names**

I 'bout peed my pants over that. I've soooooo got to see the film length one. Can't make it to Dragoncon, though . . .where else can we see it?

Very good.
(And those Browcoats who's eyes are not what it was look forward to you putting real text on the website (which can scale) on the site instead of pictures of text (which can't) ;-)

I agree about the website, it`s neat and cool but needs a lot more info, actors, behind the scenes stuff - this is great, I hope Joss gets to see it too (as a full length feature), having something parodied this way is a great form of appriciation for the show.

Really a great thing to see, Captain Cal! If it's not done, keep up the work - we all really really want to see it!

Funny as anything!
Can I buy the DVD? CMon! Just one copy before September!
Maybe we can place it on Amazon and see how favorably the fanfilm sells compared with the real deal. :-)

Some people will have a moan about anything - I`ve downloaded 100Megs before now on dialup (before cable) - you just leave the PC running - If it`s costing you too much to leave the PC on, then go out and buy broadband/cable.
Jeez, 29 Meg on 56K modem would have taken me just less than 3 hours on an average day with a 56K modem, Is that too much to ask for? If it is then you need a lesson in patience.

Howdy all.
Just got back from a weekend of camping and loved seeing all your comments. I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say we over the top appreciate it.
Also, thanks for the comments about the site. It was put up so seat of the pants that there was bound to be problems. In the next couple of weeks we'll put some more effort into it. There'll be a smaller, more manageable clip, a bunch more info, and some pretty funny production stills.
As for viewing the whole thing... I'm not sure what to do with it after DragonCon, but it was made to be seen so I'll think of something.
Thanks again everyone (and to DarkJester for bringing it everyone's attention)!

I thought it was GREAT! Very well done! I'd love to see the whole thing, along with some behind-the-scenes clips of the filmmaking process. It's always encouraging to see great efforts come out of the fan communities, some of which exceed the work of the "real" industry. Look at the work the Star Trek: New Voyages and Star Wars: Revelations people have done (not to mention the classic "Troops" from many years ago)!
I don't think that it's beyond the realm of possibility for a group of dedicated fans to produce material equal to (if not better than) movies and/or shows that have been produced in the past (or at least write material better than present day tripe like Episode III: Revenge of the Sith). The SFX that can be produced on a home PC these days far exceed anything that could be done even a few decades ago, and by using techniques like those used in Sky Captain and Star Wars Revelations, sets can be spectacular without costing millions of dollars...
But I digress...
Good work, and I look forward to seeing more... and extra kudos for the title song... a most excellent riff...!

Shiny!
I love the clip. Can't wait to see the whole thing at Dragon Con.
Got a handle on when & where we will be able to see it CaptainCal?

Now that you've given us a taste, you have to let us see the entire thing. I bet there are fans who could provide bandwidth or mirrors if you have trouble hosting such a large file. Or you could try putting it on bittorrent. But this kind of fan film is something that definitely should be on the internet.

This is excellent! Hopefully you'll be able to to put the whole thing up before the movie comes out. That way there'll be some new material to keep us occupied.

Hello again everyone.
We just kinda slapped a new coat of paint on the website, and I hope meets with your approval.
www.mosquitoverse.com
There’s a bunch more on the info page (including credits, song lyrics, and a shameless download of my last short). The teaser now has another good quality but far more manageable option (which I hope somewhat lessens the anger of any dial-up users). We even fixed some horribly embarrassing typos.
However, there’s still more paint to come.
In response to folks wondering when and how often Mosquito will show at DragonCon, I'm assuming a pleasant request sent to the film festival administrators would at least give them some idea of a demand.

Hi-larious! I can't wait to see this!

Howdy all.
Just letting you know we've put a final-ish coat on mosquitoverse. There's some amusing production stills up now, and even a cheesy little guestbook. If you happen to find any troubles with the site, please drop me a line.
...
You know, I just can't stop staring at that little flaming pitchfork emoticon. What the heck would you use that for?
