OMG!
As if spending ten days in Maui, Hawaii couldn't have made my life any better, I go back to work at my Barnes and Noble store here in Burbank, CA, and I'm shelving books in the sci-fi section (appropriately enough), when a woman walks up behind me and asks, "Excuse me, where is the Fiction section?"
I recognize that voice.
My heart stops.
My stomach gets that queasy feeling like it does when you know you're about to have an experience that you're going to remember for a long time.
I turn around and sure enough, it's her.
But I have to be sure.
"Are you an actress?" I ask. She nods. "Firefly?" I ask. She smiles and nods again. "Oh my god! Inara! Okay, I'm going to try really hard not to act like geek fan-boy here, but I really really love Firefly!" And I go on and on. I show her the Fiction section, then run off and grab all the "Finding Serenity" books we have and ask if she'll sign them, starting with one to me personally. She graciously signs them. Then I run back to the office and grab my digital camera that I just happened to have brought with me to work that day (was going to print some of my Hawaiian pics). I apologize and ask if she'll mind taking a pic with me. She says no problem and I get a coworker to take it. She tells me she's on her way to Scotland with the gang to attend Serenity's premiere and can't wait to hang with Nathan. "He's so much fun," she tells me. I shake her hand for the third time I think, tell her how nice it was meeting her, and let her escape...I mean, leave. Oh my god, I was walking on clouds for the next 5 days! LOL I have posted the pic in the BLUE SUN ROOM if anyone wants to check it out. SHe was sooooo nice and graciously put up with me flying in my 'geek mode'. LOL Enjoy.

After reading post on FFF.net for so long, and how OTHER fans got to meet the BDHs, I never thought it would happen to me......

Had you not posted the pic, I'd naturally want to call B.S. and believe you were making it all up. But hey, nice pick!!

On the outside, I'm thrilled you got to meet a BDH, and what a cool way too!

You must go!! Its just a tiny (expensive) trip to the US.... It'll be worth it in the end. Booster Events always host the greatest events. Because you get more up close and personal with the stars then you think you will...Hey! Christan Kane invited me to his room!

Just think, The same could happen with Summer.

I'm always amazed at how gracious and friendly our BDHs are when they meet the fans, especially when we hit "geek mode". I love them so!

you have NO IDEA how thankful! lol I was blabbering a mile a minute, told her I missed the show during its run, and how I got hooked when a coworker loaned me her dvds, how the store mgr even got hooked and bought her own set too, how my coworker drove to Vegas to attend the advance screening, even told her (or rather, tried to) about the Fan Fict story I was writing on the boards here and she thought it was wonderful how her show had inspired so much creativity among the fans. She was very lovely in person. I am SO LUCKY!

I know, I was really looking forward to it. But £400 (Its a pound sign, not a euro one) is near $800...it would be my first time in the us...but argh, nevermind.

Im going to be in california for 6 weeks next year, so I'll be doing lots then I hope!

Come now PR, surely you remember the "hand". Our lovely and talented captain was at a screening for one of Morena's projects. Morena was there and answering questions and generally being sweet as pie. Ebo talked to her and shook her hand.

Ebo promptly came here and rubbed it in our faces (much like you with Summer). And we were both jealous and happy (much like you with Summer). To my knowledge, she's not washed that hand since (much like you...wait that doesn't work this time).

I just got the PA requirements today, and I dont quite fit them in it's entirety, but I e-mailed the cordinator and we're talkin about it.
And If I dont get to be her PA, I'll still get her to call you.

lol, The only requirement I dont fit is that I have to 21...Damn age...

But, I have yet to give up! I will keep pressuring her until she gives in. She said the reason was that there was problems from the Angel con with PA's under 21. (I tried to tell her, Im not like most teenagers!! I'll be good).

Registration (4)- Help with Registration/ BE merchandise booth.

I would be interested in knowing if it is possible to buy these signed copies of the book though (As has already been mentioned)

and again, what book was it she was after?

That's it, you've convinced me (even though you may not have intended to) I've GOT to go to november's Starfury. The only thing holding me back was the price, but I'm determined now to find a way around paying it. I'm sure it will be worth it
