We can see poor River emerging. Again it's clearly Joss' voice speaking with her.

These clips are great, and I love how long & beautiful her hair is.

Might have to take the laptop to work and find some people of questionable tv taste to see how people who haven't seen the series react to the clips.

A friend of mine who onl just recently realized that he did see an episode way back when has been watching these clips. He's totally into them, and even without full Browncoat knowledge of River, he can follow the arc of the story Joss is telling in them (eg, showing us the end of 416, and then going back to show how in the Hell things came to that).

That's one of the features you get if you plunk down your $30 bucks and buy a license for the Pro version of Quicktime. Some sites will still block your ability to download the file, but most don't. If you're watching the clips at OurMedia.org, they do provide a download link just below the player.

You need to right click (Ctrl+click if you have a one-button mouse) on one of the links to the Quicktime version and select to "Download Linked File". (I've had good results with the Internet Archive links.)
