He's telling Zoe to shoot for the rocks, then make a hard turn, so that they give the reavers a chase, the reavers that don't have the technology to make a hard turn like that and will crash into said rocks.

Well, taste made some sense as in give them a taste of the rocks. But, after rewatching many times it seems pretty obivious that it is 'kiss'. Actually, after reading that on the first viewing it was obvious but I kept replaying it trying to hear something else but I didn't.
