Hey! We've used up another one!!

So here we are, in the new flashy space.

Well, in our last thread, we started a band! "Reavers ate my baby". Kinda cool, huh?

SimonWho is having his first day at work!

And Carola left me a while ago to pick up her kids...and hasn't returned to chatter with me since! I hope that Alex and Chloe haven't tied her up and are running around the house causing chaos!

I believe its actually 66 days til the con now! And something around 32/34 til the BDM UK release!

Fray's boss may be GW Bush. It's unconfirmed.

I'm listening to bon jovi.

Anyways, wheres Emma? Come back, we miss you!? Also, me thinks I'm gonna hunt down Jain and Butt through other mediums and chastise them for not posting much!

I'm bored... been editing something on Premiere for far too long... argh.

On the plus side I found this www.sodarace.net today, which has been amusing me. Even though it took me about 3 hours to figure out how to use the damn thing. I made a little walking triangle thing that could bounce when it wanted to. I'm not entirely sure why. Hmmm.

Crossing my fingers that a) the dog was responsible for the peeing and b) the week gets better.

First day at my last job - well, I don't think anyone thought I would actually come back! And it wasn't that anyone was mean or anything, the place was just in chaos. But I did go back, and was there nearly 5 years. I seem to recall having a few happy days amongst those years!

It just vibes wrong for me. Too plain, a weird font choice, too much emphasis on 'combat River', the others waaay too far back, not enough of the others, the fact that the others are there at all, no sign of the ship, a damned odd choice of tagline, too much Buffy and Angel emphasis.

In short, looks like it's for a different film entirely. I hope we don't see this one in the UK.

Well, inspired by your recent (and very successful) effort, I half thought about making it a music video competition! But decided that was a little too tricky, besides which I couldn't upload them to my site anyway.

So, the poster it was. Have got one entry so far...I know it's early days but I was so relieved when I received it!

As for ideas, may I suggest some poorly superimposed people standing on a Tatooine lookalike landscape - maybe add a hot chick with weapons too.

I'm back from D*C and I missed all of you and the randomness. Glad I missed reavers though because they scare me. Them people ain't human.

OH MY GOODNESS I had so very much fun. It was crazy insane and I loved every minute of it after the first day (which was hell and I very nearly left). I'll post pictures when I get them scanned.

seriously though that place is disgusting, full of scum chav, swearing and drinking and demanding money by threatening violence.

I as a large person was prime target for chavs to yell insults at. and so they did. i only retailated to one pathetic chav, who seemed to have lost his shirt somewhere on the way to the office that day. 'Its raining you loser, buy a shirt'

but my mission was to get in and get chloe motability form stamped so i can get my car.
mission completed, huzzah!!

but i also see now why i could never be a scrounger scum, the plce is disgusting, i watched one young mother, (you know the vicky pollard type) tell her no older than 2 year old son, to 'sit the f**k down' or she would 'beat the f**king c**p out of him'

but i survived my trip though the underscum, and i survived, i just hope, nay pray, I never have to go back.

i kinda like the new poster. it's the international one, so everywhere but the states basically is what i was told. i like how buffy AND angel are up there, i like the "we aim to misbehave". the poster could have been overly serious, but it's not.

I'd say "meh" back to you - but since you seem to be in the minority, that would seem churlish!

Yes, Summer looks hot (It's River, the Reaver Slayer! (Ooh, I like that...)) but the rest of it is tacky, tacky, tacky. Too much open space in the background, the other characters look like cut-out dolls, plus why just those characters? Does Inara enough in the film to warrant being there as opposed to Simon, Kaylee or Wash? There is no indication that it's a sci-fi film (although we know Firefly transcends genres)....

Nope, do not like it - and I'm sure that I'll receive much better entries in my comp! So there!

It just doesn't look good to me. It vibes wrong, as I have said. No indication of sci-fi-ness, strange choices of characters to appear, plain, bare and odd.

Though it is a good pose for Summer...

did you not notice the actors who actually get a mention on the credits on it? chiewtel, nathan, alan and adam. only them. seems fair enough.

i think it looks brilliant. you can't crowd a poster. it looks different. it doesn't look like every other movie poster. which is a good thing.

meh, i may in minority, but i still think it looks brilliant. it's not what i expected.

OK, I have a question for you IT peeps. Having trouble with a printer, USB connection to PC. Get a message saying the job is being sent to the printer but it gets stuck around 40%. Now presumably if the printer wasn't connected properly it wouldn't even get as far as sending the job? Have tried reinstalling & have also tried the printer on another computer - no joy. And yet the helpful support people insist it must be a problem with the computer, not the printer.

So...anyone?
