No, seriously, everyone has to bring a drink to this thread.

I bring you the gift of Absinthe. It makes the heart grow fonder.

That's so funny; I started a new thread at the same time. I just knew that was going to happen! I re-named mine to something silly, no need for threadwars to erupt.

Anyhoo, farewell my dears - am in London all weekend, hopefully picking up my comics and who knows, might even find the novelisation. I do believe it's been spotted in Forbidden Planet...

(BTW, absinthe & lemon Fanta is very nice! Just takes a bit of the sting out!)

It's been a chocolate deprived week, I can tell you that. Otherwise we've been keeping our high standards of randomness.

And really, did I ask for people to find the least loved bottle of spirits at the back of their cupboard? Honestly, I don't know. If it was that sort of thread, I'd have bought that bottle of Morgan Spiced that nearly made four people sick to taste it.

I'm just on the aftermath of my birthday night out last night... even though my birthday isn't actually for another ten days yet, heheh.

I'm currently realising unless I get a job when I get back down to uni I'll be living on £50 a week - which aint good/possible in London - including the bills I've got to pay... so a bit anxious really!

Oh yeah, that and my Mum and Dad are back from their holidays and are nagging about doing things that I could put off from days on end before now... except clean the cat tray out for obvious reasons.

And I'm 20 soon! Argh! Suddenly feel old! (Although I'm sure some of the other posters in this thread will soon be quick to remind me that I'm anything but!)

What are you up to on this not so fine evening?

Ahh, you have a groggy head!

I hope you do find a job, come to Matalan, I'll get you a job. It's kinda fun and we have nice people.

Dad keeps moaning at me...about studying for my theory driving test.

I'm doing absoulutely nothing. There's a party tonight...but I'm not going.

I'd just sit there and be miserable, thats the bleak frame of mind I'm in tonight.

And I might be drinking. And Emma once said that drinking when you're miserable leads to AA. And I have work tomo at 10, which I have to cycle too.

Nope. Just messing around with a script idea for something I've had in my head for too long now and needs to be taken out and put on paper.

Matalan's the type of thing I'm after, nice easy work. Unfortunately I haven't seen any in London. I live near an Asda though so I expect to be working on a fish counter in the not too distant future. Sigh.

Not much point in going out if you feel miserable... well, sometimes there is. I find that if you think a night's going to be crap it's usually a lot better than you expect. But if you feel tired there's not much point in going. Or if you've had garlic bread. That never goes down well. Heheh.

At least you've got us browncoats to cheer you up!

Thanks. I was just slung off the internet and forced to embrace this new driving theory test dvd that my dad bought. Heh. Just when I thought my night couldn't get any better.

Actually, the lady who reads every single thing on the screen did give me and my brother a good laugh. And laughing is good for you, apparently. I do feel a little better.

And fish? I don't think I could work with fish. Well, dead fish anyways. Can't stand the smell of meat. But alas, you may be braver than I am.

And once again twg reduces a boy to tears. Don't worry Matt, I remember the first dozen times she did that to me as though it were yesterday.

Oh yeah, I was going to have quality time here today. Yup, that was the plan. That sound of thunder you heard this morning? God laughing.

7am: Have to get up to get puppy out and give Lucy her eye medication. Discover I am probably about two hours late with the getting the puppy out part.

9.30am: Woken from sleep by phone call. "No, they're not here. Yes, I'll tell them. Yes. Okay. Bye now."

9.36am: Who was that on the phone just now? What were they saying?

10.30am: Phone call on mobile for me. A friend of the family wants me to fix their computer. Today. Uh huh.

11.00am: Dog walking.

12.30pm: Discover I have left my laptop's battery at the client's yesterday.

2.00pm: Finally manage to leave house to do shopping. Buy stuff I'm only vaguely sure I want.

4.00pm: Back from shopping. Clean up after animals. Put shopping away while dogs help by pulling at it.

6.00pm: Watch cricket. Think it an apt reflection on my day - too sporadic to be enjoyed as sport and the result isn't going the right way.

8.00pm: Eat pizza. Not as good as the box promised.

10.00pm: Play Halo2 for the first time in a few weeks. Lose two rankings.

10.30pm: Start writing this post.

10.45pm: Realise this post is a) overlong, b) whinging about things that others would quite like to have (a big job, dogs, people that ask you for help, pizza), c) way too long.

Right, rant over, feel better now. At least I know tomorrow I'm going to be reduced to chauffeur/butler/cleaner/helper. Might as well bend over for destiny.

My reach is 6 inches.

Anyway 9 inches would plenty cover and not leak.

Hey, I just had lunch with Michael Winner - well, OK, in the same restaurant! That counts right?

The Team Random store is a non-profit organisation for legit Team Random members only! Ain't noone making money from it but CafePress (sigh...). And as some of you will already be aware, I'm going to order us some mini badges for Serenity2. You get 10 in a pack so that covers me, Carol, Jaina, Matt, Sean, Rel, Dr Evil, Emma, Keeley & leaves us with a spare.

Got my comics - Kaylee, River & Simon (hate those 2 covers, oh well). Just as well I'd reserved them as there were no Issue 3 left at GOSH or FP. Have to admit I'm a teeny bit disappointed with the last instalment. Bought the novel too.

Belated hugs to Matt - I brought two chocolate truffles back from The Ivy, you may have one.

I can stretch my hand out nearly 8" from pinky to thumb, but I'm a musician so that's something I've worked at. I can just barely reach an octave on the piano. From tip of middle finger to heel of palm my hand is only 6 1/2" long.

He's not exactly our most respected film director...

Saw a Few Good Men last night - very good. Think Rob Lowe was more tolerable in the lead role than Tom Cruise was.

I'm sorry? Does there need to be a special occasion to go to The Ivy? Maybe for the little people, I suppose...!

No, we just booked lunch there to coincide with going to the theatre. Have been there a couple of times before, food is lovely and very reasonable (well, you know, for London). I'm very proud of myself because I ate a scallop today! Trust me - that's a big deal.

Now, someone wake me up when it's Tuesday. I can't concentrate on anything until I've seen photos of Jordan's wedding...!

G'day, all!

Just ambling by while my wife shouts that supper is almost ready and the kids argue over who left what mess on the floor

I'm bringing Scrumpy Jack as my poison of choice with Kahlua for afters.

I saw the finished BDM last week and tomorrow will collect tickets for the Empire Magazine Mystery screening on the 19th which, rumour says, can only be the BDM. And then it's down to Bluewater the next night for the last of the proper previews!

I missed all of the August activities but am trying to make up for it.

Oh, no, he's a surgeon, the moderatly hot black womans the pathologist...

And his son's a great detective, so obviously Mr Van Dyke's detective skills run in the familly. Cept his son can't be all that good cause he always needs his dads help...
Can you imagine their household?
"Dad dad, can you help me with something?"
"Sure son, having trouble with your homework?"
"No its this murder case... I think the butler did it..."

Of course Mr Van Dyke is also a master of disguise, I mean:
"cor-blimey Mary Poppins"
Fooled me, utterly convincing, I was quite shocked to learn he was an American, and not from the East-end...

And good morning everyone...
Sorry I'm so late posting, but been having a bit of fletcher trouble...

Diagnosis Murder is daft. I saw about ten minutes of it the other day and not only did they have their primary murder to solve, the amazing father and son combo solved a completely incidental murder they stumbled across while looking at a house that was for sale. It was just a time filler really. Stupid.
