Hi all,

New to the boards, long-time Firefly fan. To be put quite simply, I am going to try and host various Serenity viewing parties up at my local theater. Why, you ask? Because the film is slowly making its way towards the back end of the theater (one day it's in the middle theater, the next day it's one further back), which means it's not doing too well..I reckon that if something isn't done in the near future, the film will make a quiet exit very, very soon. So what I propose to do is to draw Serenity fans to the area to see if we can't bump it back up a few theaters for a while.

There are 2 Doylestowns in PA, which are you from? I'm from south of Pittsburgh, and the D-town north of Philly is WAY to far of a drive, but the other is west of Harrisburg, and only about a 2.5 hour drive.

I believe they are talking about the Regal Barn Plaza. It's about an hour so drive for me and I live in Bridesburg, which is right over the Betsy Ross Bridge. I've actually been there a few times as I used to hang with a few people that live in Jamison.

I'm planning on having this thing go down some day this weekend; whichever day is generally most convenient for the lot of you. Saturday evening works best for me, but I can technically do any day this weekend, at any time. What's good for you guys?

Seems like Saturday is working out for mostly everyone. The meetup night is definitely Saturday.

EDIT: I'll post an image of myself up soon, so you know what I look like and who you'll be waiting for.

EDIT: Additionally, I'm thinking that some grub prior to the movie might be fun, too...there's an Applebees in the shopping center directly above the Regal..just throwing the idea out there.

Okay crew: here's the skinny on Saturday night's festivities: PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!!!!

We're going to go to the 7:05 show this Saturday evening, but I'd like us to meet around 6 for some grub and a small meet 'n greet session (it's important I know who's coming to that, so let me know)

We're going to meet outside of the Regal Barn movie plaza and head up to Applebees from there; it's within walking distance.

The picture of me that I've been dreading putting up online, so you know who to look for, will be up tonight.

Okay guys:

I'm going to be out of communication for the majority of today and tomorrow; the next time you'll see me is at the movie on Saturday; I won't be able to get back online prior to that. Malbadinthelatin and I will be waiting OUTSIDE the theater at 6PM; for those of you that know what the barn movie theater looks like, there are two barnish-looking 'silos' on the front end of the building. I want us to meet by the far left silo (left as if you were facing the front of the building). She'll be wearing a blue coat and I'll be wearing a jean jacket (most likely) with a green t-shirt that says 'Five Iron Frenzy' on it.

See you guys at 6 tomorrow night! I can't wait!

Oh, and about the camera and pic...sorry, can't find my digital cam. : /

....As for what I look like, I'm asian, I stand at 5'9", have long black hair (almost shoulder-length), brown eyes, and am skinny.

Just found about this - but won't be able to get a toddler-sitter on such short notice. But my wife and I will be there in spirit with you - and if my little Browncoat goes to bed at a reasonable hour, I'll try and sneak out tonight and see the movie at the one local theatre that is still showing it (and only once each day, too ... then end is near ... :( - until the DVD comes out, that is!!

If anyone is interested, I'm thinking of going back on Thursday night for the 7:05. If I don't see it one more time in the theaters, I think that I'll just kick myself for it! So, if anyone is keen, I'll be there just before 7 - blue coat and all!
