Hey! Newbie here. I've managed to download The Train Job and Bushwhacked, and am absolutely falling in love with this show! But Im having problems getting any of the other episodes and Im also slightly confused about the ordering of the episodes.
I'd like to watch the rest of the episodes, but cos Im in the UK and don't get the Sci-Fi channel, I cant :( if someone could either send me the episodes on VHS/VCD I'll happily pay them for their troubles. Or otherwise let me know what would be best criteria to search for on kazaa.
Thank you for any help.

04 Safe
05 Our Mrs. Reynolds

How have you determined that this is the order? It is different (in the middle episodes) from the way they were aired. I am curious because I have them all and am trying to get other people interested in the Firefly story. I would like to have the episodes numbered correctly. Thanks!!!

The Fox site, which shows the airing order, puts
Our Mrs. Reynolds
Jaynestown
Out of Gas
. . . just after Bushwhacked.
whereas the order posted by christhecynic is production order, and, I think, the perferred order. Certainly, you'd want to see Serenity first, cuz, dang it, that's the pilot -- despite Fox's insistence on shoving Train Job onto us ignorant hordes.

The order presented by christhecynic is correct as the timeline goes.
Yes, fox aired them out of order, we all know that ;)
I haven't seen a sure confirmation one way or the other about the last 3(heart of gold, trash, message), but I think thats right. I'd have to see the other two eps before I can be sure.(unless someone was a confirmation)

Thank you all for your help!
Kazaa was beggining to irritate me, at least I now have an alternative downloading source. :)
Also thanks for clearing up the episode order, that was confusing me muchly.

How did I determine it? Well I looked at the episode number on the script, and looked at the other numbers. The order presented is that of the episode numbers, which some call production numbers because they think that the episode numbers are the order in which they are first aired. The script distinctly says “Episode #” So I take it as meaning episode number, these numbers look like 1AGE10, which is the one for Heart of Gold.
We have all of the ones for the aired episodes, and you can find the rest in various places (the number for The Message, 1AGE13, you can get right here on this site). Also this is the order they will be aired in the UK, and that has been said to be the right order.
That’s how I got that order. Others have come up with the same other ways.

I'm confused about the episode order. I've been watching Firefly in the UK on the SciFi channel, but the order they're showing them in isn't the same as the order given on this site. They are supposed to be showing them in the proper order, but it's a bit different. I think the first few episodes were shown in the same order (I missed Serenity, first one I saw was The Train Job), but recently they're different. The showing order after Ariel has been...
War Stories
Trash
The Message
Heart of Gold
and I've yet to see Objects in Space. What order should they be in? I'm confused now. I've missed a few along the way, but Objects In Space is the only one I'm sure hasn't been aired here. Is that supposed to be the season finale? Because that's how they're being shown over here.

Well... we don't know for sure, but here are a few threads that might help you out.

There are a few possible orders that fans have put together-- the order that the FF episodes where aired in the US, the order that they aired in the UK, an order that the director said they were supposed to be in, and a few orders that overall make the most sense. Currently, I believe most of us are waiting for the DVD’s before we can really be sure of the proper order.

I maintain my belief that the order is what I said, but the ending of HoG does suggest that it might in fact end with HoG. Hard to tell till the DVD comes out.

From what I remember (all found on this site, but I don't remember where), HoG does come before OiS but OiS was changed in the version we all saw because it was aired without Trash, Message and HoG. My guess is that OiS does come last and when the changes are rolled back it will make sense. Incidentally, I think OiS makes a pretty good closing chapter to the series. Not that I want it to end, but it's got a certain sense that Firefly will "keep flying" even if we can't see her. From what I hear, this is not the case with Farscape. I'm on 4x07, so nobody ruin it for me.

Hi Guys,
Found this qoute from this site by Tim:
Tim Minear - Jun 14, 2003 9:16:41 am PDT #9264 of 9273
"So Tim, is "Heart of Gold" supposed to take place after "Trash" and "The Message" or before "Objects in Space"?"
Both. The order, and (to the best of my recollection) the way it'll shake out on the DVDs is:
Trash,
The Message,
Heart Of Gold,
Objects In Space
Joss made a minor adjustment in "Objects" when we aired it, and restored said change for the DVD order.

and dang it!^&%%$%@#
why can't y'all come to some sort of resolution on the episode order?
Do I need to wait for the dvd?

Because he says that in a way that is not certain (“to the best of my recollection”) and because there are things in Trash and The Message that come after events in OiS I still think that it is the order that I said, with the current form of the episodes at least. Obviously until we see what the changes were we can’t be sure, but it just seems to go against logic to have Jayne make reference to an event in OiS in The Message if The Message came first. There are other things like that.
Obviously if Tim says something more definite I am wrong, and it could be that there are changes that make it all make sense.

The order Tim put forward is the same as the order they were shown in over here, then. OiS definately made sense as a finale to the series. A very frustrating one,'cause I wanna see more, but I know there is no more. Arrgh! OiS did seem to conclude it all quite well, resolving the River being a threat to the crew thing, and it kinda brought them all together as a crew finally. Even if Mal and Inara were still being stupid. But then, Joss always did try to keep his characters apart as long as possible. It gets boring when they do get together. He's done it in Buffy and Angel before. I'm gonna have to buy the DVD in December. The show is genius, and there's still a few episodes I missed.
