Greetings&Felecitations:

Sade, beautiful nightclub voice and killer
UW videos, Heavy Metal soundtrack, Conan the Barbarian soundtrack (one of the most under rated, and Joss dished me for it at Dragoncon one year) LOTR soundtrack, George Thurgood and Kate Bush's Lion Heart. Kind of a wild mix, but I can
pick and choose according to the mood.
Does anyone know if they let Greg Edmuson score the Serenity soundtrack and if so, is it out on CD yet? Maybe he'll get the chance to flesh out and finish all of the Firefly bits...
Angmar

Dude, neurosis is pretty kick ass at times and i love Isis--especially The Mosquito Control Ep(japan edition) and The Red Sea. I spent 55 dollars getting my hands on the japanese versions of these albums, but i think it's worth it. Some other guy was also listening to Kyuss and Queens of the Stone age further on up this page and NIN. It's good to see that there are other fans of this music out there. Cheers!

well I dont listen to cds that much as I usually listen to music on the pc

At the minute I'm listening to the Phantom of the Opera movie soundtrack. I saw it for the first time recently and can't get enough of the songs

I've also been listening to the Battlestar Galactica season 1 soundtrack too - particularly my favourite tracks "A Good Lighter" and "Wander my Friends" which I've combined to make a longer track

I've also just bought The Magic Numbers album, so I've been listening to that

Garden State soundtrack

and a playlist for a new (double) cd I'm making featuring the best score tracks - so its got music from Hellboy, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars Episode 3, Angel, Farscape, Millennium... plus loads more

I junked my CD player once I got my iPod, which is a much better music listening device than a CD player. But as for alsbums, one that I've been listening to a lot lately is Green Day's "Bullet in a Bible", which is a live album of their two concerts in England at Milton Keys on their American Idiot tour this year.

I'm starting to develop an affinity for live albums, since they have more raw energy than studio albums. And the DVD of the concert itself is amazing, to say the least. With a big enough screen and a kick-ass sound system, you fell like you're actually there at Milton Keys.

Amazingly enough, my fave song off the album is "King For A Day/Shout". I think "King" is a perfect Mal song. And "Minority" is a great overall song for FIREFLY.

Last CD actualy played in a CD player?

Maroon 5: Songs about Jane (livingroom sterio this past Saturday while cleaning the apartment).

Have an 80 Gb harddisk drive in the car (Kenwood Music Keg) with roughly 650 CDs of MP3s in it. The in-dash CD gets used only on the way home from the store if I just can't wait to listen to what I bought.

Normaly listen to music while working on my PC at home so have all my stuff ripped/stored on a disk there (about 21k songs). USB drive backup copy of that disk is normaly plugged into my PC at work so if either one dies, I can get a new drive and copy it back again. Also, I can listen to anything I have at either location.

I do NOT own an Ipod or any other portable MP3 player... Go figure.

What can I say? "I get excitable as to choice."

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. After his post, Dayve looks down at his ipod and is getting into the groove of the music he's listening too, and then he looks up and there stands River with a crossbow aimed right at his stomach. He pulls the ipod, ear plugs out and was about to say something, but River fired. Dayve reels back and falls to the floor, and the last sight he ever sees on this here Earth, is River standing over him, reloading her crossbow.

In a flurry of movement, River get's behind Dayve and grabs one of his hands and twists it around to the small of his back, and with her other hand she holds a blade to his throat. Pressing the knife hard enough to break skin, and allowing a little blood to trickle, she begins to whisper something into Dayve's ear. That done, she knocks him to the floor and gives him her tradmark, complimentary kick to the side of the head, and vanishes back into the night.

...the bolt entered just between the 3rd and 4th rib on the left side, puncturing the lung and lodging in the vertebra, rupturing the spine. He lay motionless as the lifeblood and spinal fluid seeped from his body onto the cobblestone floor... his eyes fixed on the water damaged ceiling.... a walleye....no, pike... maybe a large rainbow trout....seemed to swim effortlessly in the purplish stain and began to cloud.... the cotton encroaching on his senses....

The consciousness that was Dayve freed itself from the lump of flesh and bone sprawled on the ground. It was aware. It floated above the scene. It looked only ahead. There was a sound coming from somewhere... recognizable as the song that had haunted the mortal for oh these many days.... Imogen Heap.... Hide and Seek... it was clear and perfect in the glowing, translucent air... it came from all sides - better than stereo; quadraphonic; dolby-esque.... it was his sanctuary... it called him to... somewhere.... somewhere better than he had been.
A sudden realization washed over this floating orb.... it had been set free. A joyous feeling engulfed its being. The person... the River... had done this. Had she known the full effects of her actions? Was she alone in the knowledge of what awaited each of us beyond the pale. The essence that was Dayve felt a deep abiding love for River.... The River.... the giver of perfection.

As the mist begin to clear and the drifting anomaly focused its being onto the surroundings, a strange sight formed before it..... an azure sky, so blindingly blue, the being felt the need to shield itself, but of course that was unnecessary - a foreground came into play - a color green the mortal had only seen in Photoshoped, Avadon stills and that once at his own computer when he had achieved such a scene by mere accident. And then it was upon him.... the Gold Wing - the conveyance - the chariot of dreams..... he approached to find it not unlike a distant memory of one such as this, but for the extras.... the chrome luggage rack... the “Ring of Fire” lighting on the front wheel... the sheepskin pad on the gleaming leather seat.....

This, then, would be his final mount, the ride to the stars.... Already the sky had darkened and the points of light twinkled an invitation. He sat upon the bike and it was already humming beneath him.... the music quietly filled his senses and with a slight twist of the wrist he departed this realm....

With one last thought of the mortal world below him, he concentrated with all his being so that the Forsaken below might hear his thoughts....

“The SAFE WORD... use the SafeWord...” but then he realized that they would each be better in this place - just don’t drive Hummers.....

...”now it’s time to say goodnight... goodnight, .... sleep tight....” the strains of the old Lennon/McCartney lullaby gathering in the cloudless sky..... Goodnight everybody, everywhere.......
