OK So can someone settle an argument for me?

Alright one of my friends and I are having an argument as to who is the best looking male on Firefly.

She says Mal, I say Simon.

Anyone feel like helping us settle this? I know it's childish, but we've already argued about the more intellectual things?

The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.

Simon, clearly. I've done some careful calculations and discovered that it is not actually possible for anyone to be better looking than Simon.

Firefly/Serenity is full of some very pretty men
(and women)
and we should just all be very grateful.

Actually most shows cast pretty people,
but too often they cast pretty people who are very weak actors,
and I got a problem when they all look a like.

Joss casts these wonderful actors,
with very different looks, but all VERY pretty.

I guess I'm no help on the argument,
except to say that I wouldn't bother choosing between them...
I'll take them all!

Depends on your definition of "Handsomist"

Simon is the "Prettiest"
Mal is the "Handsomist"
Jayne is the "Manliest"
Book is the "Shepherdiest"

Given my druthers though - I'd choose Nathan ..er Mal. Don't want a man prettier than me in my slinky dress! Also don't want a man who could choke me with his pinky - downright unsettlin'. (Although I'd want him on my side).

Mal's just right! Although I agree with you...if Mal's not available the others would do just fine. All of them fine men indeed.

You are right!!!

Wash is the "cutest"!!! But he's married - so technically I didn't think he was available...but if Zoe's progressive....hmmnn. Lots of good thoughts

On the other hand, I don't want to fight her for her man! She is a warrior woman and I'm...well...not.

Wash has the best personality...which makes him very attractive.
Mal has those big eyes, and that chin thing...and a great voice, powerful prescence...very manly.
Jayne exhudes testosterone...would be great in the sack if he never talked.
Now Simon...as shown by the movie, has GREAT shoulders and a muscular back.
Book is a good looking mature man and appears to be in great shape. I even love the wild hair.

That whole ship is loaded with man candy...each is just a different flavor.

Any way to get a sampler pack? YUMMMMMM

My best friend and I have been having the same argument since we first watched the show.
I have to throw in a vote for Mal, but she'll make me balance it out with one for Simon.

Let me see here.

Simon is selfless, capable of great love (at least to his sister LOL), is getting a lot less stiff in each epidosde, looks great without a shirt and finally did the deed with Kaylee.

Wash is boyish, funny and very married.

Jayne would be pleasing in a rough way but doesnt have a lot upstairs.

Now to Mal errrrrr Nathan. Boyish in a more mature way, has a good sense of humor, respects women, is a good leader and has been the subject of more than a few vivid dreams lately.

Yes, 45 year old women can still have impossible crushes.

Simon - well, he's just the prettiest. I like my men lithe, and he comes the closest to that.
Wash - no offense, but no.
Jayne - well, I don't like muscely men, but if that's what you're looking for, he has to be your choice.
Book - more mature than the others, but in very good shape. Not bad, if I were older. In the movie he looks awful, though.
Mal - well, he's got the presence, but he's not slender enough for me.

Now, a guy built like Zoe minus the curvy femaleness...

I love Mal and Simon for different reasons... and I think they're both equally good looking in different ways...

I really can't decide (they're my 2 favourite characters... with River in there somewhere too)
