I am a new Firefly/Serenity fan and I don't have the DVD of the TV show yet. I'll be getting it for X-mas.
I've been watching it on the sci-fi channel and I found out just now that they will have a marathon at 7:00 pm on Tuesday (11/22). I just thought I tell others who may not own the DVD set too.
Happy Viewing!!

I DO have the DVDs but I always watch on Sci-fi channel anyway....
I love hearing the voice over intros,
actually I just love knowing the BDHs are on the air
I'm excited about the marathon(s)
because so many shows run reruns over the holidays
I hope we'll pick up a lot more fans for 'Firefly'!

Is that in the US or UK?
Or both, because we have a sci-fi channel, but it's just full of US shows, so I think it is just your sci-fi channel.

I think it is only in the USA, those with the cable station 'Sci-fi Channel'
seems like an ideal time for a marathon,
when families are drawn together for Thanksgiving,
sitting around bored...getting on each other's nerves.

The Firefly marathons are only on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday's marathon is for horror movies.
Tuesday night will be Jaynestown, Out of Gas, Ariel and War Stories, with Trash, The Message, Heart of Gold and Objects in Space airing on Wednesday.
Both nights start at 7pm Eastern/Pacific time.

I'm worried that this may be all the Firefly that SciFi is going to show - the last episode they are showing Wednesday night is "Objects in Space" (the final episode), and this coming Friday night and the next are all movies. I guess we'll have to wait and see....

Just a Rant, but I want the SciFi Channel to change things up a bit do a Firefly marathon using the directors commentary version.

I was pissed off when I saw that they are going to air some lame ass Sci fi movie originals instead of Firefly. They are not even showing them in order. Stupid sci-fi channel.

On Sci-Fi's schedule, it says they're coming back on December 9th with "The Train Job" and they'll be showing "Bushwacked" the following week. After that, it says in January, it starts "Daily rotation," which would lead me to believe that they'll be showing it everyday instead of just Fridays.

Since I've only watched the DVDs, I had never seen Firefly on TV until last night when I watched parts of the shows on SciFi...I found it interesting when they started HEART OF GOLD, that Mal gave a little synopsis of the show, who everyone was, and how they got there. I found that to be pretty cool. Too bad they didn't make that an extra on the DVD set. Just a little thing, but it would have been nice.

Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

There are a bunch of fans who were converted by the DVDs, and never got to see the intros. There are three - two by Mal (slightly different wording) and one by Book. You're right JayHawk, they would have made great Easter Eggs on the DVDs!

You guys know about the Adam Baldwin easter egg, right?
Go to the last disk where the special features are, and then go to the second page. Highlight Joss singing the "Firefly" Theme and press left. A design to the left of the picture should become highlighted. Press enter to watch Adam singing.
