According to The Futon Critic, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release the DVD set containing the full run of 'Firefly' on Dec. 9th.

I go to Amazon.com all the time and search for Firefly on DVD. I wish they'd get it listed so we could start a massive pre-order campaign.

I just found out that I get to be incredibly broke that day because not only does Firefly come out, but also season 5 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Goodbye money. Now it just needs to hurry up and be December already.

Oh my god, I am probably going to buy $200 (Cdn) of DVDs that day. I always buy Angel and Buffy at the same time so I can watch one episode of one, than one episode of the other. It's really good that way with season 4 Buffy / season 1 Angel, there are crossovers like mad. It rocks.

I've started a little place where we can start our campaign against Fox. It was Mercutio's idea, but I was anxious enough to get it started. It's a 'blog, so I need some 'bloggers to help me post news and tidbits. This will not be a Firefly site (primarily), but I've seen enough of you mention our favorite shows that Fox has killed, so we should be able to get some traffic there.

The ranking at that time was actually 335 of all the products sold by Amazon. So there was significantly more sold. As of now, it is 210th on the list. Order away!!!!

Since sales of the DVD will undoubtedly be looked at by people who will someday finance the Firefly movie, those of us who can afford to should buy multiple copies. This is our one chance to vote with our pocketbooks. They will make great xmas gifts, and help spawn new fans. Besides, $37.49 is the less than the price of two regular DVD movies. Most of us were expecting it to be around $100.

I just preordered 3 copies - 1 for me, 1 to keep sealed, and 1 for a gift. If I can think of others who might want this as a gift, I will order more. Lets see how high we can boost that sales rank (currently still holding at 210th place).

Just had a thought:
Someone (qualified) should write a "great" review of Firefly at the Amazon site - I think it helps newbies a lot. In fact, we should, as a group, write many reviews. Flood the place with shiny reviews.

Since we can't review the DVD until it comes out, I checked other upcoming TV-series-to-DVD listings (like LeFemme Nikita) and found that they were reviewed based on the TV series, not on the DVD.

Of course, B-sure to use good spelin an' gramer in yer revue - don't want thems ta think we browncoats was a buncha nit-wits with no ed-u-k-shun)

I see, I didn't understand how the Amazon sales rank worked. We are 118 now. Obviously, the Browncoats are kicking some serious pre-ordering ass!

I WISH Amazon.com was a viable option for us Canucks. I'm leaving the country for six months and want to preorder Firefly, Two Towers Extended, and Babylon 5 season 3 and get them shipped to a friend's but Amazon just hoses us up here. The first and only time I used them I ordered the score for Fellowship cause it was listed as $13.99. I had gone to Amazon.ca thinking it would be the canadian equivalent but, little did I know, it had just routed me through to Amazon.com. When my VISA statement showed up the bloody CD wound up costing me over 50 bucks! There were 3 different fees tagged on to do with shipping and dollar conversion. I can't imagine what these would cost me.

Note to self: Make Canadian equivalent to Amazon.
