Ok I have this idea that Jay Leno (tonight show) would LOVE Nathan... Nathan is his kinda guy.. manly and funny!!! SO why hasn't OUR MR. REYNOLDS ever been a guest??? perhaps not on Leno's radar..???
so.. how do we get Leno to invite Nathan and see how wonderful he is and introduce him to the rest of the somnabulist public?? (I know ALL the BDH are deserving, but Nathan is a hoot and I think it would be a good match...)
Anyone know someone who works at the Tonight Show who could drop some hints??? Is there an email place we could maybe write (en masse) and SUGGEST???
Am I insane to consider this? (do NOT anwer that last question... )
Fellow travelers.. what do you think?

On a related note-
Has anyone seen Nathan (or any other cast member) on any talk show? Letterman? Conan? Daily Show??
Surely there had to be some promo for the movie...
That would have been awesome.

And of course, when the release of Slither gets a little closer it would make a lot of since for Nathan to be on Leno. To promote that film and of course Firefly. It never hurts to start early. However I bet Nathan would have a better chance of getting on Craig Ferguson's show or Jimmy Kimmel, Leno and Lettermen generally have bigger names compaired to Craig and Jimmy. What da' think?

If I had a choice I'd like to see him on Conan because I think they would be able to play off each other well and it would make for some great TV. I'm not a huge fan of Leno or Letterman myself so I don't really wanna see someone I don't like interviewing him ya know? That's just a personal prefrence though...whatever..

Ain't that just shiny?

You can send Craig an email at http://www.cbs.com/latenight/latelate/email/ but I'm not sure that's were you would send guest ideas. But it's worth a shot.

Malsgirl, I'm just glad you didn't do Craig Ferguson's email as "Craig@google.internet/amazon" or whatever he made up this week.

Yes, I just wrote the following to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno:
I'd like to suggest Nathan Fillion from Firefly and Serenity fame as a guest on your show. I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but Serenity is currently the #2 selling DVD on amazon.com, and Firefly is #3: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/new-for-you/top-sellers/-/dvd/all
/ref=imdbdppd_sr_0/002-4072862-2446441 Considering the fact that Firefly has been out on DVD for a couple of years now, I find that to be a remarkable feat in itself, and shows you the fan base any guest from the Firefly/Serenity would hold.
I hate to keep using amazon.com as my example, but check out Amazon's biggest surprises of 2005 list: http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/listmania/fullview/36KHC200ZFHC3/002-
4072862-2446441 You'll see that Firefly is on this list as well!
While Nathan Fillion plays the captain of the Firefly ship named Serenity, I'd love to see any or all of the actors from the Firefly/Serenity universe on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The actors in the show are very personable, and have great personalities.
Thanks for taking the time to read my suggestions, and I enjoy watching Jay Leno on NBC.
I'd love to see more people write to NBC and/or Letterman with some similar sentiments, but not word for word. Of course, other shows like Conan would be welcome as well!

I told them if Nathan did not make an appearance I would suffer a fatal heart-attack.
Niska: Oh, you do not like I kill this man?
Mal: No, I'm sure he was a...very bad person.
Niska: My wife's nephew. At dinner I am getting earful. There is no way around that.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope everyone writes to someone, be it Leno, Letterman, or whomever. I really don't care, but it would be nice for SOMEONE to pick up the story of how fans brought a show that was cancelled after 11 episodes out of the ashes for a major motion picture, and now the TV show and the BDM are both selling in the top 5 on amazon.com, and may other retailers.
Hell, I'd like someone like Oprah to get the cast together for a show and tell this story. Since the 'verse has such a large female fan base, I bought it would be something that her audience might pay attention to, and you know what happens when Oprah recommends a book...

It's a true Cinderella story that Oprah would go for, right?!?!
NBC is owned by Universal, correct? They would certainly go for this idea, right?

I think it would make a good story for Oprah, so it's worth a try. I went searching Oprah's website for some contact information, and all I could find was a place to tell Oprah what celebrity you'd love to meet and why. I started another thread about this, but the link to Oprah for it is here: https://www.oprah.com/plugger/templates/BeOnTheShow.jhtml?action=respo
nd&plugId=D162700001
I think it would be cool for some Browncoats to submit some BDH's to meet and why, and maybe we'd get to tell our story from ashes to the BDM and beyond, and with Oprah's clout and ratings, we'd get some exposure!

I know I'm chiming in late on this so forgive me if it's been already answered but, he had been on a long-running English talk show called "GMTV" last October 5th.
Now... a couple of intriguing bits of trivia that imdb.com lists (just in case, YOU know... nobody's mentioned these points, eh
):[He (Nathan Fillion) is a distant relative of the Civil War general Jubal Early, and mentioned the name and the story at some point to Joss Whedon. As a result, Joss used the name for a character in the "Firefly" (2002/I) episode, "Objects in Space".
Wanted to be a High school English teacher (a profession that runs in his family) majoring in art, minoring in drama while pursuing an acting career on the side.
Originally auditioned for the role of "Angel" for Joss Whedon's first television series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997). However, Whedon did not remember him from that when he contacted Nathan about the part of "Mal" on "Firefly" (2002/I).]

Interesting stuff. Hopefully we'll all get to see Nathan tell this story on a talk show someday when he also gets a chance to tell the world about Firefly/Serenity and the 'verse.
