I ordered a River shirt this morning :) The Browncoa one is new as of this evening. There is also a black shirt with a Serenity emblem. Check them out!

Woohoo! Got mine in the nick of time, then. My XL Serenity logo shirts shipped today!

Me is wondering, though -- are these officially licensed products, or did they just use the logo without permission? If the latter, they may not be available for long. I certainly hope it's licensed, though, as I'd like to think my purchase went toward the great cause.

I just spoke with my local hot topic store and the manager gave me the email to their regional buyer. This is the email I sent to the buyer:

I was speaking with Joe at the Maplewood MN Hot Topic about Serenity T-shirts and how only California stores got them.

I’m a leader of the local Firefly fan group – you can find us at http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/MN-Firefly . If you have Serenity shirts in stock, our 132 members will buy them.

These t-shirts are offered on your web site. I found out because of a post tossed up on www.fireflyfans.net . The exact link is http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=15744 . Already, there have been over 200 hits on the post with its link and so hottopic.com is almost sold out.

Trust us Browncoats. We haven’t had enough merchandise offered up and so we’re desperate for it. Most of us are making our own t-shirts because we cannot find them in stores. If you can get 80 t-shirts into the Maplewood store, we will buy them and clamor for more.

I knew Hot Topic would eventually get some shirts! I can't decide which of those 3 I like the best....

What I REALLY want are some good Jayne shirts, like the gray "troublemaker" from Jaynestown or the red "fighting elves".

NYWOE is right, sometimes it can take a while for website stuff to get to the actual stores. They also get website exclusives sometimes.

Whoo-hoo! I have been walking into the Hot Topic stores and asking if they have any Serenity stuff. And they are like "Serenity?" There is a my store link and it has phone numbers.

That's what I did.

I swear, every girl that I've gotten to see Serenity has eagerly agreed to do so based on that statement.

Similarly, anyone know who's manufacturing these official Serenity t-shirts (which, as the previous poster mentioned, are no longer on the website) - I'm presuming that Hot Topic are just a store and don't make em themselves?

Hot Topic stores are in malls in the United States. Lots of our malls have these stores. They sell cool stuff or maybe I should say they sell hot stuff.

I think the website is a testing ground for the mall stores. And Serenity passed.

If you know a retailer who wants to sell Serenity shirts, have the retailer contact ripple junction.

They also have a Have an Idea button on their website...that I cannot seem to get to work right now. If you can get the button to work, you can submit an idea for a shirt.

Ripple junction website says these are the stores where you can buy shirts that ripple junction produces (does not actually mean Serenity shirts--I have only seen the Serenity shirts at Hot Topic stores in the United States)
