Ok....I've wanted to do this for a while....Start an ongoing trivia thread. (I love trivia) The rules are, (1)were on the honor system...anyone can go back and watch it or look it up. So dont!! (2)If you post an answer....you must post a new question. Otherwise, make it as hard (where did Monty get "Pinched"?)or as easy (who plays Inara?)as you want... I'll start off with an easy one...

NAME ALL THE EPISODES IN ORDER (according to the box set)

I wanted to post that answer quickly before someone beat me to it, but I return now with the next question, probably a bit harder than the first.

In the episode "Ariel," Mal has written on his arm the names of the drugs Simon recommended them stealing from the hospital. What is the only one of them that was a made up word, not a real medicine?

I know the first one....A Capisson 38 engine. Cuz they fall right outta the sky!

As for the second one...I have no idea whatsoever. I've never heard that they're actually real ones. But--I'm guessing here-- maybe hydrozlepan? Or however it's spelled?

You can't ask imaginary or speculative questions! They have to have a verifiable answer that you know!

Alright, here’s a question that any hardcore Browncoat should know, but that would probably befuddle the less faithful:

What deceptively worthless engine part does Wash pick up and subsequently throw away while in the junk yard on Ariel, in the episode “Ariel?”

That's great, Ryce. I was just about to reword the question since it is possible that all the others were not real medicines as well, so I was going to ask what the last one on the list was.

It is Fillioxalyn, which I think is so obviously based on Fillion, and was something Nathan added himself as a joke.

Also, Amnon, the guy from The Message, was also Jewish. Or space Jew. Or sp-Jew as Alan called him on the episode commentary.

Its not actually a shotgun, its a carbine rifle but still :)

Anyway, i cant remember one single fight where she doesnt use it.

In the pilot when fighting off Patience she uses her 6 shooter in the beginning, but fires one shot from the carbine in the end :)

Interesting. What is the difference between a shotgun and a carbine rifle? Also, do you mean her little sawed off dealie is a rilfe? Interesting. :) I think my question must have been kind of stupd because I was thinking of War Stories when the crew goes to rescue Mal. After shooting a guy with what I thought was a shotgun she does a little roll on the ground and pulls out two handguns and shoots the next guy. Of course, you are right. In Serenity she is using a machine gun.

Okay, bad question from me.

You're both almost right. Watch closely, and you'll see that the shots of the port engine flipping are in the wrong order. Is it Our Mrs. Reynolds?

And Jayne calls Wasn "Little man" In Objects in Space (You wanna go, little man?) and in Bushwacked, when they're playing Spaceball.

As for the animal in Serenity, if you're talking about the Pilot episode, there are horses and chickens at least. If you're talking about the movie, there's an inguana/lizard-looking thing. (I know because I looked for it after seeing the "Animal Wrangler" in the credits )

dianaspr out of curosity, when does she speak in Train Job?

Here's what I've come up with trying to remember eps where River speaks.

In Serenity(the pilot) she screams and says "Simon"

Bushwacked : she screams a lot and tells Simon they're coming back as he leading her to the gally where the reaver is.

Shindig: "Sad little king of a sad little hill."

Safe: Talks to the cows, the teacher, Sioman, Mal

Jaynestown: "His brains are in terrible danger!"

Out of Gas "Day is a vestigial mode of time measurment . . ."

Ariel "Copper for a Kiss"

War Stories: "No power in the verse. . ."

Trash : "Also, I can Kill you with my brain."

The Message "My food is problematic."

Heart of Gold: "I wonder who's in there."

Objects in Space: "Serenity is not happy Early"

so that leaves Our Mrs. Reynolds where River dosen't talk.

A+, soapboxer. For your question:

"No it ain't. Ain't nothin' wrong with you grav boot. I seen the problem plain as day when I was down there on my back before..."

The problem is some other part (damn, can't remember!), but Kaylee figures you don't even need it, as it tends to get tacked and gum up the works. So why have one? Just connect the G-line straight into something or other, and it works like a dream.

She fixed it (wasn't really broke).

Back to River not speaking in "Our Mrs. Reynolds", she did have a scene but it was cut. If you haven't "scene" it, watch it - very, very funny because she is "in the family way".

Ah, yes, the couple-thing! I heard "rate couple," but "reg couple" is plausible as well. Anybody know offhand what the script says?

As far as I can tell, there was exactly one East Asian actor with a speaking part in the series (as noted, in Heart of Gold) and exactly one in the movie (one of the assistants in the lab scene, who had one or two lines).

As hard as it is for Asian actors to find good roles in Hollywood, I find this to be a pretty serious failing of our beloved 'Verse. But anyway!

Yeah, that cut scene in Our Mrs. Reynolds is hilarious.

Caper, as I understand it, the magistrate was "taking every dollar and leaving five cents."

No idea about the number of federals or the non-screwing-up BDH, although I did find it weird that the alliance soldiers in The Train Job, who are stated to number around 20, are referred to as a "regiment."

I believe that the sign in "Shindig" originally said, "Not responsible for mechanical failure," or something like that.

The only official source I've been able to find regarding Shadow's destruction is in Joss' Memo "A Brief History of the Universe, circa 2507 A.D." found in the Visual Companion. In it he says that five years into the war, Mal's homeplanet was "destroyed."
