Is anyone up for having a vote on our favourite Firefly-based motivational posters?

We could have different categories (like most fitting to character, funniest, best use of picture etc) and an overall winner.

Let me know what you think.

I'd vote, but it might help to get them all posted (or mirrored, whichever) in one place. Some of the BSR entries aren't clearly labelled, and may have slipped into the archive unseen.

I know Rodwy has been compiling a collage or two out of the ones so far (I think there about 45 posters at the moment) so perhaps we could use those to vote from.

I've offered to make a website for them if someone would be willing to download them all and send them to me with a list of who to credit for each one.

That's very generous of you fiareynne. Wish I could say I volunteer to download the pics but I just don't have the time at the moment. Hopefully someone else will step forward though. It would be a shame to let these all go by without doing something with them.

I'll probably end up doing it myself, lol, but help would be very much appreciated.

Gotta watch out for those raver reading parties.

While I was annoyed at the amount of motivational posters abounding in the Blue Sun Room at first, I do not see the need for the tone of this post. My apologies if it was made in jest, but it certainly doesn't read so to me.

fiareynne,

I've downloaded most of the posters over the past couple of days -- with the creators' names. What would be the best way to send them to you?

You rock! You can email them right to me at reynne@gmail.com and consider yourself very well thanked, because I do really appreciate it.

Gotta watch out for those raver reading parties.

So how do we want to organise votes?

Perhaps we could come up with some different categories first. Then we could each nominate maybe two or three for each category, then the top five or ten for each get put forward for voting?

Let me know your thoughts all.

Lets get Jon Stewart to host!

I'd like to nominate my self for creator of most annoying fad

"The people who made the show, and the people who saw the show, which is roughly the same number of people, fell in love with it, a little bit too much to let it go, too much to lay down arms when when the battle looked pretty much lost. In Hollywood, people like that are called unrealistic, quixotic, obsessive... In my world, they're called Browncoats."

Hmm... nice idea but not sure it would really count. There isn't really much in the way of competition! I hereby declare you the winner!

So good you thanked me twice. Take that indeed.

Nobody else seems particularly bothered about awards - I think perhaps this crazy fad is blowing over.

I'm still paying attention. I'm just stallin' 'till I can get off my ass and make one myself.
