Just watched 'Bones' for the 1st time. 2nd episode, I suppose. Anyway, I'm having a hard time seeing DB as being anyone but Angel so far. He's doing his good impression of the fanged one, at least. So, during the ep, Bones makes the comment .. you can always count on the dead ( or near enough ). The line plays on what has occured in the episode, but I can't help but think there's some intent there to pay some hommage to Angel too.

My hubby, Stillshiny, was/is a big Angel fan, and he thought a couple things were interesting.
That Booth(DB) said something about hating doors before kicking one in for a FORCED entry (W/OUT and invitation).
Also that it was Booth who noticed and focused in on the cross on the brother's wall.
Little bitty things, but interesting.
I'm sure people could point out more.
No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people; they've all got stories.

In the first episode, Booth (a former sniper) said that he wanted to catch at least as many murderers as people he'd killed in his former career. A very Angel-y thing to say, I thought.

In last nights episode (I like this show BTW) he said:
'Which one of you mere mortals wants to take me on?'
"..it is my very favorite gun."

That settles it! Angel became human, changed his name and joined the FBI!

I can see the flashback episodes now..
Actually, Im waiting for a flashback episode on Bones. One that a decompsed body they are working on turns out to be someone he 'offed' on his old job. Maybe the season ender or something.

Yeah, I knew others would jump all over that line.
There was also another line from that ep that I can't recall at the moment, but I thought about posting along w/ the 'mere mortals' line. But then I thought.... maybe we're reading WAY too much into everything that's said in this show....?
Naw! No way!

On the episode last night..the actor who played Rileys buddy Forrest played a lawyer. IT was a small part but he did a nice job. Also, one of the actors that was in Band of Brothers (if you havent seen that..you HAVE to) played a small part. It was nice to see him too.

The show's creator is a total Whedon fanboy, so it's not surprising at all that there are some Angel references. One of the other guys in the cast played a W&H lawyer in season 5 as well.
I've only seen one episode of Bones (the only TV I watch is what I download, so unfortunately I haven't had much time to get into it), and in that one there was a Firefly reference.

Saw an interview somewhere with DB; he said that working on bones was a big change from Angel. A much more relaxed environment.
Off the topic.

Sure was, and did you notice that the picture of the girl who died that they show at the end was Darla?
