I have a question for you guys. Now, I've only seen probably a handful of Firefly Fanvids, but all the ones I've seen have just been straight music videos. Mine throws in some dialogue, are there other videos out there that do that? And what do you guys prefer?

Yours works really well with the dialog in it. I think the others don't use it because of the music they used. The dialog wouldn't have worked well with the song chosen.

This is beautyful. I really love it.

I like it when dialog bits from the show are mixed into a vid like that. I have done one vid like that myself, but I found it very tricky to do, because the compression always mixes it up somehow (I use a very crappy vid software) and the words always end up a bit off key which is annoying.

I'd love to see this vid have Serenity scenes with River, too. The "Am I talking to Miranda now?" look leaps to mind. Or the cinematic camera spin around River in the "Please God, make me a stone" scene; or any other scene with my little mouse in it, which, I know, is guaranteed to make me sob for hours.

Simply, excellent.
Very well done.
You captured Simon's essence (demonstrating how Sean Maher mastered the role), particularly when he silently watches River.
You brought out the Simon-River relationship perfectly, made poignant what could be mistakingly missed amidst all the many dramas in the Firefly storyline.

I'm glad you said this. With people knowing I'm all crazy about River, they might just think exactly this, that I'm crazy. :) So, it warms the heart that you feel, and say, similarly.

The River dancing scene, I'm not sure what gets more to me: seeing the amount of innocence she still has, or the amount of innocence I know they took from her. :( *tears*

If you're not in love with River at the end of this vid, then the 'verse is broken. :( But I know it's not.

Just saw this vid again. I think you should, too. I know, that's quite a statement. But this is also quite a vid; the 'verse has a gentle way of balancing itself out, that way. :)

As the song goes: I'm learning to fall with no safety net to cushion the blow. River will help you do that. Do not fight your tears, and I guarantee, that you will not just fall, but remain floored for several hours even. And it will all be good.
