Having agreed that Valentines Day sucks, - with the possible exception of Spinney (?) who took a stand for those little choclate things and flowers - and selecting a range of shiny new saints for all occaisions and mental issues, our intrepid Nookers embarked upon a second game of Calvinball.

Sadly waylaid, after wrestling all those monkeys into nappies, Seryn got a cold and started sharing. Really sharing. (thread sponsored by Night Nurse)

Before the break - CMS remarked on the obviouse superiority of the residents, all concurred, a small name change was proposed and accepted. And here we are!

Note - Seryn is not yet quite well, infact she's feeling rather sorry for her self, she just watched Ben get shot, and thats after the wolf got shot. Slightly traumatised, (especially as she know they aint gonna play the second series) she's having a truly mealancholy, slightly Canadian, evening curled up in her bedspread listening to Sarah McLachlan albums and sniffing at her cat.

The cat couldn't care less.

Steel yourself for more sharing.

BEN GOT SHOT!

*throws her self wailing on the ususpecting Mattie*

poor boy, forced his entire adult life to wear those stupid trousers, and then get shot by his best friend trying to save some bitch that he's dumb enough to love.

She shot his wolf! and the dumb ass still loves her! Just because of her big eyes and perfect hair! cow, He's all shot...

Why do I care?

Yes, a club for sick people, hugs and commiseration and... a captive audience for my wailing.

Well I was kind of looking for my thing, the one with the with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment.

For those of you who watch what you eat...

Here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.
3. The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans
4. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

I liked Due south too, haven't seen it in ages, the mounty didn't do it for me though...

They aren't stressed about it. You know in Japan (or least this was once the case, not sure now) ANYTHING you did while you were intoxicated, you weren't held responsable for. Got a little @$$ grabby at the office party, not a problem, completely forgiven, you were drunk.
Not sure how they avoid Stress or, perhaps they just have better coping mechanisms. Meditation, etc.

Well, I've just had fun, my Snake(Rusty)'s Vivarian was beginning to pong a bit so I decided to clean him out, then I find it's smelling because he's taken a big dump in a corner where it's hard to see, and covered it with bedding...

Fun times...

He's now giving it the Bigun, flyin' all around his little world sniffing all the exciting new smells a clean Vivarian brings.

Pretty much.

When the Vivarian's been cleaned it changes the smell, so it now smells like me, cleaning fluid, water and new bedding, instead of Snake, Snake poo, Rat and old bedding. Since a Snakes main sense is smell he's now having the time of his life tracking all those wonderous new odours down.

And he appears to be thirsty, since he's stuck his head litterally in his water bowl.

Either that or suicidal...

ok, you may be the one to answer this, vibrating ferrets, is that cause they're happy excited or cause they're s**t scared? Everytime I pick Wiggle up she starts vibrating. Its very comical, but slightly worrying.

She very sweet, she does this little greeting dance.
But I still think she needs a new friend, she's used to the company. Can you reintroduce another friend?
Ok, methinks i'm in the wrong place... I'm off to find a ferret website. If I come back looking scared out of my wits you'll know why.

I've never done anything with my yahoo stuff except use my flikr account for pictures (I prefer it to photobucket anyhow.) I don't know why. It's easy to just get used to what you've always had and not want to try new things.

And then the reason I keep saying "No new IM accounts" is because I'll be on the computer and I'll be trying to have 3 conversations on MSN with 3 different people, plus check my email or hang out in chat or whatever else I'm doing and the computer keeps making that "ping" noise it makes every time someone posts a comment to me and I just get overwhelmed. It amuses my grandparents who are sitting in the other room listening to the "pings".

I much prefer the telephone.

yup, the floor is here, but i'm still gonna opt for my comfy sofa. And cusions, and pretty paisly shawl.

Well... Casanova was shit.

In defiance of the speed dating circuit they had set up in my local cinema, I went to see a movie (supporting the none desperate single person cause) and well, Casanova was the one.

Its extremely pretty, gorgeous costumes and what not, Heath was great as always, hamming it up in just the right way and keeping the comedy subtle and light as possible, and Sienna wasn't as irritating as I'd expected, though my absolute favorite character in all this was Venice (by the way hubby if you were needing honeymoon ideas)

It just appeared to have been written by some breathless 15 year old girl obviously over the frickin moon about being able to use the word 'fornicate' like a real adult. It seemed to have gained its knowledge of the past from the pages of an Historical Mills and Boon novel and was about as delicate and witty in its dialogue as your average conversation between 2 12yr old txtrs.

It did have some charm, unfortunely it also had every single cliche in the sodding book - including the end-snog-in-the-rain(tm) and considering it was a film about the world greatest lover it was about as sexy as a halibut.

that kinda went on for a while, I meant to stop at 'shit'

well, there you go.

Still worth seeing for the purty dresses, just go on the cheap day.

*reebok reebok reebok*

I went to this improv comedy thing once, where it was some girl's 16th birthday so they did an improptu musical about her. Most hilarious thing I have ever seen EVER. From the song about how she met her boyfriend to someone playing her blind dog and continually bumping into things. But the funniest thing of all is that she swore that someone was sneaking outside her window in reeboks (why reeboks, I have no idea) but she swore she could hear them, so this one guy kept sneaking across the stage going "reebok reebok reebok". So now, I don't sneak or stalk, I "reebok."

End of stupid story. You had to be there.

EDIT: yup, that was the one.

oh, just a film - bloody revenge tragedies, fops and Queens, good acting, bad acting, Samuel Pepys, two mice in a nutshell and the King of England in a dress.

oh and Shakespeare.

All round good clean family entertainment.

No, not really, its about restoration era theatre and the men who used to play the womens parts before women were allowed to play them. It looks and feels divine and the lead, whats his name? Was in that film about the kid who goes on tour with the band, Goldie Hawns daughter was in it... god, all the names are running off just as I reach them, well anyway, he's bloody good, and Rupert Everett play Charles II, which is casting perfection.

It a somewhat girly film, but its also a bloody good antidote to all the lovey dovey valentines crap we've had to put up with for the last two or so weeks. I though maybe afterwards we could watch Die Hard or any other film with big explosions and minimal romance.

Yeah, Stage Beauty was pretty much as you described it. Some great performances, some so so. An interesting if completely fictional look at the roles of men and women in theater in that time period. And some very interesting costumes.

And yes, the guy that played the lead, whoever he is, was not terrible to look at. Not at all.

So, it's violence and explosions huh? I just request something without so much blood cuz we all know how easily I get grossed out. Or at least warn me ahead of time so I can close my eyes.

Billy Crudup!

finally remebered his name. Yes, would not pass up the opportunity there for all the ice-cream in heaven.

Actually not so fictional, the theatre's were in the midst of a big shake-up at that time, and some women did make it onto the stage (though not officially I don't think) And unlike a lot of movies Its a fair portrayal of London at the time (i.e. everythings layered with cack) I quite liked the sound track as well, theough Afro-celt Soundsystem wouldn't have been the first people I thought of.

If only the people who did that did Casanova, I could'a had a new favorite movie.
