Okay all you Adam Bladwin/Jayne cobb super-fans?

What the heck is his tattoo in Bushwacked?

I freezed-framed it and couldn't make it out. But I did enjoy looking at those big big arms.

Is it Adam's or Jayne's?

I cant make that tattoo out, but it was a fake-o nonetheless since I believe Adam said he doesnt have any tats during the Flanvention Q&A.

What scene is it in? Bushwhacked isn't my favorite episode and it's been awhile since I've seen it. still-flying.net might have a good screencap.

ha ha ha!

See, I'd say first picture- pink kitty with boxing gloves.

But the second and third picture looks like a giant squid bending over and holding a round chinese symbol of some sort.

fourth picture- oh, what I wouldn't do to be Jayne's hand.

Quite a mystery, maybe Jayne's tattoo holds the key to Inara's secret and Book's past.

Why couldn't he have the tattoo on his forehead? It would be a lot easier to see...

Don't laugh, but to me it looks like one of those Fruity-Oaty Bar, female cartoon characters, riding a stylized Chinese dragon, possibly with a scorpion type tail curled up over her head.

I could see it being a dragon, that was my first guess.

I thought it was a Chinese Dragon, around the circle with the 4 elements in it (or a cool spiked out ying-yang)....
I have a similar image on my purse....

Yes, I've heard that it's just a fake tattoo, and that Adam doesn't have a real one! So, in Serenity, right at the end, before Mal speaks to Inara, when he passes Jayne, his tattoo was put on for just a second of screen time! Who woulda thunk that the Serenity make-up people would be THAT dedicated, to put a glimpse of Jayne in sleeveless top *sigh* and put the tatoo on for just a glimpse like that??!!

If they went to that much trouble with it there must be a story behind it. Probably one of those things that Joss never got to expand on. Add it to the long list Stupid Fox.
I wonder if Joss has ever been asked about it?

ps. thats the cool thing about Joss keeping alot of the crew from the series for the BDM- since the Script Supervisor had already worked so long with the charcters she could keep these great little details we love so much, even if it was for one second. I'm so going home to check the Serenity dvd now.

Flying Red Dragon. If you look REALLY carefully at the yinyang symbol - in the centre are the letters "M" & "A".

Yup. Jayne loves his "Ma" enough to put her on his tatt. I'm figuring it's the futuristic equivalent of the heart tattoo with "Mom" in the middle.
