Hey...I am sure this has been talked about before, but I am slightly new so forgive me.

I am wanting to get a tatoo...but not sure of what.

Does anyone have any idea what Mal's tattoo is of? I mean the one that you see only in "Trash"...for obvious reasons.

If I like what it is I will prolly get that in the same spot.

We've talked about this before in old threads, and it's fairly consistent that no one knows what his tatoo is.

I've never been able to make out what it is in the screenshot. Too blurry.

Google it, someone once said there was lots of stuff online about it.

Good luck, and if you get a closeup, please share... I know there are some folks on here who would love to know what it is.

I just googled it, and apparently it's something Egyptian, but it's not clear what, exactly.

I have two tattoos- one love, and one (strangely enough on my right thigh...) I'd love to get rid of.

When I look at it and think "Ireland" (as opposed to looking at it and only seeing the derriere to which it is attached), what I see is the Tara broach, which is always a likely possibility if we're talking Irish icons.

I read somewhere that he said it was an Egyptian Hierogylph of sorts, but seeing/reading several interviews of Nathan Fillion I'm pretty sure no one will ever get a straight answer from him about it :)

Nathan is always very cagey when he's asked about it at conventions. I think he regrets it. I suspect he regrets not asking for a cover up patch for it in that scene too now!

I know that Jayne has a tattoo as well, but I thought it was Jayne's and not Adam's.

Well now, that does change the landscape a bit.

And is that picture from Firefly, or another production with NF in it.

And yeah, another perspective....and then back to work. Where's that soapy water for my mind's eye?

I think Nathan makes up different stories about what it is.. when he is asked...lol. At the Flan he said it was a peace sign which then had some egyptian symbols arond it... It KIND looks like a goofy alien baby crawling...lol

sooo... til we get the DEFINITIVE answer... shall we make things up??? extra credit for creativity...

Anyone know someone in the FBI that could do an enhancement? They can clean up a picture of a license plate taken from 6 blocks away I'm sure that someone up there wants to know what that is a picture of.

It's a scarab beetle. I think with a peace sign in the body of it.

It's a little distorted, but it's definitly a scarab shape.
