if thay named FireFly Serenity in the ferst place it wood have lasted at lest 5 seasons

i just woched FireFly after i sor previues of Serenity cos it seemed funny

i herd about firefly a wily back be for thay even started to make it but i thort to my self Firefly ma sounds crap and never gave it a 2ed thort but with a name like Serenity i wood have woched it

HEY i was abused when i was young and i love the movie. Thats no excuse. Ok so nightass, i realise you think its shit becuase you couldn't follow the beginning. It is a pretty complex opening so its a fair comment. Because you might not be able to understand a film, it doesn't mean it's shit. Remeber its YOU who couldn't follow it whetherr thats the films fault or yours is open to discussion. I didn't follow it very well either the first time i saw it and i fuckign hated firefly the first time i saw that. Have you any other constructive criticism on the film? It makes a change hearing bad points, i for one find them pretty interesting so please elaborate.

When I was a kid I used to buy books because of their pretty covers... so I can relate.

Personally, I think those titles, 'Firefly' and 'Serenity' couldn't be better.

The FF universe in both TV format and film is what they call a 'sleeper-hit'. The market is overly saturated right now. Word-of-mouth with increased exposure and time will bring the phenomenon into it's own. Just a matter of time. The seeds have been planted... let nature take it's course.

...and those who judge stories by their titles will either tag along or watch other shows with pedestrian content, admiring the catchy opening credits.

Eh, well 24's a good show.
This is the problem.
The creators and producers of Firefly weren't doing anything wrong. To my understanding the show was cancelled because nobody was watching and nobody was watching because the episodes weren't in order, so it was hard to understand some references to previous episodes, which were not aired until later... so unless you knew the future there was no way for you to know. For example, Episode 1 - which was Serenity 1 and 2 - was not aired until after a couple of episodes. The Train Job was aired first, to my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong), and I watched that episode, noticing that I couldn't understand much without watching the two hour pilot.
Also,three episodes were never aired. Three very important episodes.

And thus is the reason why Firefly is complex. Serenity is a great movie - watch all of the Firefly episodes and you'll see why. Hell, I didn't even know the show before I watched the movie and loved it - I thought it was something different from every other hollywood shit-frames of the time, and even now.
