I'm glad this site is still around!

went to post the news on the OB site... nothing *gasp*..
Already new the "movie" board was going away, so I wasnt to shocked..

I'm guessing Haken's site is the only Current Firefly site now?

That is so totally cool. And it makes a great girl's name, not a stretch like "Aeryn" or "Chiana" would be. Congratulations!

I'm actually still shocked the wife liked it! :)
(she's not a major fan like me, though she did stand in line with me for an hour on opening night of the movie)

I actually said it as a joke "how about Kayley?" and she went for it..
Jayn as the middle name came about later as we couldnt find anything to go with kayley.. Jayn just seems to work better then anything else..

Congrats! wow you are a true browncoat :) Yep if I ever spawn a young-un a girl she will be called Kaylee or Zoe a boy and he will be called Nathan or Malcolm :) My girlfriend will probably hate those names though .lol

O, happiest day in a man's life! Please tell me you were present for the miracle. Watching another soul come into the world is the most magical experience you can have.

My wife -- who has added 3 wonderful people to my circle of family -- is named Kayley. Hers is the most beautiful spirit I have ever known. Even though it's not spelled the same as on Firefly (i.e., 'Kaylee'), one of the things that first attracted me to the show was that it had a character named after my wife.

And now y'all have a daughter, named after a character, but spelled exactly the same as my wife's name. She will be so jealous that a whole passel of new Kayleys are coming into the world. She's always liked the idea that her name was uncommon and unique. I do so love nettling her, just the tiniest bit...

Sort of like pulling the pigtails of a schoolyard secret sweetheart. I am still that boy, at heart, just a bit...

Congratulations on the baby, and for choosing such wonderful names for her!! When she's old enough, you can convert her into a browncoat to go along with those names!

As to this being the only firefly site - there are others! This one is fabulous and is my number one home. I hang occassionaly at others..
