Hi, all. One of the many, many things I like about this site is the huge variety of people who are here. All different ages, genders (well, all two of them), jobs, backgrounds, etc. I've seen references to several different countries in posts, which led me to wonder: how many countries have Browncoats in them?

Which country do you live in? If somebody from your country has already responded, please answer anyway! Tell me which region you're from or whatever else you want.

I'd be interested to see how many countries/regions we can come up with.

I'm from the central United States.

Blueeyedbrigadier,
I used to live near Watertown, NY just across the river (and border) from Kingston when my ex husband was stationed at Ft. Drum. Visited Kingston once and really liked it.

Being a Southerner (Grew up in Wilmington, NC and now live in Washington, NC-just east of Greenville and 2 hours east of Raleigh)2 winters were enough for me. I still have thick sweaters that I can't use down here.

Can't rightly speak for the rest of the state, but the West Coast has the second highest rainfall in the entire country. We get around three months of summer sun (usually January through March) and then, come April... rain. It's actually raining right now.

I've been lurking in here for the past months and have recently decided to register.

I hail from Portugal, which is, at this moment, airing the Firefly series on national TV (though it's a channel that only broadcasts on cable, but it's great nonetheless). Since my DVD set is currently with my brother at Uni, I've been watching the episodes on TV, even if they're in the wrong order (as aired by Fox).

Terrific show!! I have recently re-arranged the DVD-rack in a local store, putting all the serenity-DVD´s in the front row. Am I a browncoat now??!

Browncoat since last October...
Firefly hasn't yet been aired here on national tv, only on pay per view...
Serenity lasted just one week at the movie theaters...
This place is fantastic, without a new series or a new movie it's very hard to go on...god bless al fan fiction writers!!!

Wow, a shiny browncoat all to myself. Thank you! And I will certainly be holding until our Captain returns. It's the hair, you know. Something about the Captain's hair draws me...

And I'm glad to have finally started posting in here. This is an incredible community of people.

It's great to know that Firefly fans can be found around the world. Maybe those TV/movie executives should pay some serious attention to this.

Nothin' exotic here. "Sunny" California, USA, where we have just celebrated the wettest March since 1904 and it still hasn't quit raining.

It's super shiny to see all the international browncoats here, and new posters as well.

FollowMal will take good care of you coatwise(hey, FM, there's been an outbreak of new posters all over the board!), and the rest of us will contribute goodies to the table.

Yeah, it's been wet here in southern Cal.

Didn't know it was the wettest since 1904. Maybe my beach town, isn't quite as damp as your place.

Floral, BTW, I agree. I think that MalAdroit would be a great handle. It would fit too, probably better than my current one. But I am what I am. I hope some worthy FLAN takes it up.

Put up another mark for the US.

Hi to all.

Welcome, GI! I don't remember seeing any Italian browncoats here before (apologies if I missed anyone).

Excellent nick, too.

From this short sample, it seems like your English is so fluent that I suspect it may be your primary language, hmm?

I don't disagree on any particular point.
