Hi! Thanks for signing up to receive more information about our forthcoming book, Firefly: The Official Companion. First, the breaking news - we've found so much excellent stuff that this will now be two volumes, not just one!

Things are going really well - we've conducted about 20 brand new interviews with the cast and crew so far. Joss Whedon was kind enough to speak to us at length while he was over in the UK recently. In fact, he was sitting in the very London hotel room where he originally had the idea for Firefly!

Wow, nice catch. I had heard rumblings a while back, but it's good to know that it's actually happening. And two volumes! Don't know if I can wait until the end of September. Gives a whole new meaning to that Green Day song...

Figured there would have to be a second one since the pics on the 'net of the one coming out this year shows "Volume One" at the bottom of the cover.

Thanks for the confirmation though. Some thought the volume one on the cover of the upcoming one was a typo.

With regard to the release date of the first one, luckily, if you're British, Amazon.co.uk has that one down for a 21st July release.

And there isnt a release for the second one just yet seeing as it's just been announced and Amazon nor Play have it listed yet.

This is great news! As for the wait, I think it was April 2005 when I first heard about the BDM and I managed to wait until 9/30 for that, so I guess I'll just do it again!
