A number of forum threads have vigorously debated the pros and cons of the canon paring of Simon and Kaylee as opposed to the non-canon paring of Jayne and Kaylee. Both perspectives have defenders and detractors willing to debate their personal preference til the 'Verse turns blue, offering all manner of justification. I have my own personal throry which I want to test with a simple poll of willing folk.

All I'm asking you to do is to post your preference, your sex and your age. Just those three items in that simple order. For example:

NOTE I'm not negating other couplings, nor is the point of this poll to prove who is "right" by virtue of numbers. I'm just asking if you have a preference between Silee or Jaylee, your sex and age; any other parings will be nulled for the purpose of the statistical analysis. Dong ma?

Silee mostly because it's canon, it just flows better and makes more sense. River with anybody (but particularly Jayne) is just plain creepy. Similar thoughts to if I ever i think about my sister going out with anybody.

Alot of people seem to of read to much in to some sences from the series. That or I was watching a differnet show to everyone else.

Agreed, Jayne is just not the type of guy Kaylee wants, she needs to be told she's pretty, Jayne would never say such a thing.

However I do think that River and Jayne could be an interesting couple, as long as the age gap isn't gross and as long as Jayne could put the whole butchers knife thing behind him.

Neither of them are needy, both are quite powerful, and both are very funny (not so often with River). They seem like a sensible match.
