Funniest petition on the site: Request to have all Firefly Fans fired into Space. The description and comments for it an hilarious. The best bit is that it is in the "Civil and Human Rights" category! Anyway I didn't sign that one but signed some of the others.

You know, alot of people think that a petition isn't going to help our cause but I think everyone might just be suprised! There's alot of loyal browncoats out there who love this show and you never know what can happen. Look at 'Family Guy'. FOX cancelled that show, but the fans brought it back. Everyone just has to unite and maybe in the end 'Fire Fly' will prevail!

It seems to me that the latest thinking is to try and find a new home on SCI FI. I don't know whether anyone has posted this already, or even how effective it would be, but I noticed that you can join NBC Universal's "Viewer Panel". They advertise it as follows:

"Hello There! We would like to invite you to become an NBC Universal panel member and give us valuable feedback on your favorite TV programs, including those on Sci-Fi.

Yeah, I went ahead and filled out their stuff for it. Just a survey about their current shows on the various channels and how often you watch them. Wasn't any sort of section for comments, etc.

Well, it's five minutes I won't be getting back, but it's not like I was doing anything important anyway :) There was a thing to sign up for future survey panels, and I figured what hey, worst-case there's always room for more in my bulk mail folder ;p

Done. Why isn't this petition on the homepage and very easy to find? After seeing Serenity, I heard about Firefly and that it was only on for 1 season and want to bring it back. Good storyline, well developed characters, and better than most of the crap on the SCIFI channel. So, what now? If you streamlined this petition process it would be much more productive. I just saw that the HBO series deadwood, costs over 5 million an episode???? I wonder if HBO has 1.5 million for each episode of firefly that has a built in audience of 1,000,000 strong
