Time to build my pizza fort...

And on the subject of niceness, I proudly vote for In-between.

Seriously guys, don't press that button. This box has absolutly nothing to do with my evil plans that I don't have.

This is my Easy button. If anybody needs anything at all, just press this button.

And also, while I'm on the subject....

Here's a neat little petition I ran across:
http://www.ghost3usters.com/petition/default.asp

Not sure I agree with it, but I think it's neat that someone committed to creating such a petition.

Just don't, whatever you do, get it mixed up with my button. Nothing bad will happen, since my button isn't an evil button which isn't part of my evil master plan that I don't have, just don't press it, because nothing bad will happen.

Let's not make things anymore complicated than they are. The bar is right there against the wall like it always is, was and will be. There's no reason for any body to make it pop up, user friendly or hi-tech. It's just a bar. It maybe magic, because we never need to restock it, but no one has complained about that yet, so don't go making waves.

Not possesive, per se, but I figure if it breaks I'll probably be the one fixing it. So I want something that is basic, sturdy, time tested without a abundance of tech-candy gadgets that require a lot of diagnostic testing when the fail, and they will fail. Keep it simple, besides if we keep the costs down there will be more money for other things.

I could explain but not well. It just wouldn't be funny without being steeped in the lore of Dungeons and Dragons. It's quite possibly not funny even if you are steeped in that lore but if you don't get it I don't think I can get you to get it. Get it?

Depending on which version of Windows you are running, you should be able to go into 'Control panel'(from start menu/settings) then 'Sounds and multimedia' this should give you a list of all the sounds that windows makes and when it makes them. you can tell it to make no sound, or if you have sound clips like I do, Alter them to something more appealing.

Turning off system: "My god , what can it be? we're all doomed. who's flying this thing? Oh, right. that would be me... Back to work."

I've never had any of my PC's make any noise for any action performed. I actually turn off all "event" type sounds.

This is due to my geekdom. I grew up with a bit of a need for speed when my computer was concerned (I was actually cooling my PC with water as far back as 7 years ago). It was always about performance for me. Now, performance impact of stuff like that is negligible...but habit keeps me from using any sounds (i don't use any wallpaper for my desktop, either).

whats the fun of it going all super flashy fast if theres no fun in basic stuff like looking at the screen?

*butts out*

funny exchange about geeks that I had to share, my little brother works for Gamesworkshop (they guys who sell the little plastic armys that you play D&D type strategy games with) so he has pile of GW stuff lying round, and my mum picked up a tape measure with the GW logo on it today and asked

'is there anything you can't buy in that place?'

and quick as a flash i said 'yup, a life'

now I didn't mean it at all, cause i'm hardly in a position to be throwing stones, and I love geeks. But I was very proud that after a tiring and crappy day I was still able to be a smartass. yey me.

thing with the flashy fast as you put it, i was always a gamer...if i could get a few more frames per second on the latest game and sacrifice something else to do it, i would.

now i don't really care about frames or the like...it's just habit now, haha

You can get a passport in 3 months.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be up ALL NIGHT Friday for Relay for Life and plan to spend all day Saturday sleeping. Otherwise, I'd say let's meet in Columbia and do something fun.

On passports: I'm sure things work differently outside the US. When I got mine, they told me up to 6 months. I got it quicker than that, and it's been a few years since I got mine. It's still valid, so less than 10 years ago, but at least 5. It was prior to the point where traveling changed. maybe they've streamlined things a bit.

On Evil: Yay!

On ing: What? What'd I do? You thought that was bad? You should see some of the other stuff I write. Like the next post that swirls in my head.

The Rakes Progress

What do you do when your roots have dissolved and broken down
And the soil that you grew in when you were small
Has become nothing more than dirt in some dirty town
When you list all the qualities that you despise
And you realise
You're describing yourself

And breaking someone up inside
Is your only source of pride

I am obsessed with costumey goodness since I bought my material.

I have this peso that was made into a medallion that is going to make the perfect piratical necklace. I have to buy a chain for it, since I have none. I used to wear it in my hair back when I had one of those hair wrap things (I can do them myself.)

I think a nice simple black cord makes a wonderful necklace for a pirate.

Which Lyric? the random "The Rakes Progress" or the new tagline from "The Damage"?
Both have something to do with my current state of mind. I try to switch out the lyric on occassion when I find something particularly applies to my current state of mind. sometimes I let them run too long.
