Serenity screening LEEDS, UK, Sat 24th June

Hi, everyone.

I've got an almost definate response from the cinema. What i need now is numbers. If i get enough people this will[/] happen. But i need them asap, this takes planning and the cinema are dragging their feet until they have numbers.

The showing will be at either 10am or midday on Saturday 24th June.

Ticket donation will be £10 per person.

If you'd like to come i need to know. I'm gonna do this in list form, so you just need to copy and paste the list then add yourself to the bottom. (If you've already put yourself on the list on www.cantstopthesignal.co.uk you don't need to put it on here aswell.) I'll also need to know if you want extra tickets and how many.

I will be organising a shindig for after the screening, but i need to sort this first.

The LEEDS screening was being asked about elsewhere so thought it'd be wise to give the thread a bump.

Hi everyone,
So the PR woman says no to FREE screening but i now have to speak to another dept about hiring screen. Am working on other options so there will definately be something happening.

Don't even know why it was no because she was too cowardly to tell me over the phone even though she said she'd call me back, she emailed me then left so office was shut when i tried to call her and see if it was something i could work out. She's really p**sed me off. She could have just explained why, or told me this a month ago when it'd have been easier to make other plans.

Anyway gonna organise SOMETHING. Will let everyone know what and exactly when, although being honest we're looking at same date and time just elsewhere in LEEDS.

Feel free to post any ideas/suggestions, you might come up with something i haven't thought of.

I feel realy down now, stupid woman. People like that just get to me, why couldn't she just be grown up about it and speak to me?

Vue are not selling the tickets, it's completely private. If you want to come along all you need to do is make sure you're on the list.

If you wanna come and you're not on the list, just copy and paste then add yourself.

It's £10 per person and you can pay by cash or cheque on the door.

There is a car park attached to The Light not sure how much they charge but i'll make sure i've got my membership card so you can get discount on parking. Once i find it i'll post a map for you.

It'll take 5 mins to walk from the train station: You come out of the main entrance (where the taxi's/buses are)turn left past the bus stops, you'll see the Park Plaza Hotel/Wokmania infront of you on your right and on your left is city square (big paved area with statues and fountains) walk up the road between those, you'll pass lots of banks and a few bars/restaurants, when you get to a LARGE set of traffic lights (there's a Costa Coffee on the corner) The Light is over the road (opposite the coffee shop). Will post a map when i find one.

The screening is starting promptly at 10am. If you're going to be late let me know, I can't hold the film but will make sure you still get in.

I'm asking people to be there by 9:50, this way everyone will be in their seats ready to start at 10. I'll be there from 9am so if anyone wants to come early that's fine. (Diska??Please??)

And to all those people worried they don't know anyone and will be turning up alone. Don't worry you might not know anyone when you arrive but yopu'll leave with a whole lot more friends.

Or you could take a leaf from Kaylee's book "It's Shiny, I like meeting new people, they all got stories..."

If anyone asked something i didn't answer or if there's anymore questions just repost and i'll answer.

Remember if you're not on the list you're not guarenteed to get in.
