Hey browncoats! It must be working! When I went to Amazon just now I could only get a max of 4 BDM DVD copies and it wouldn't let me get any Firely series copies (it says the max is 5 but you can't order no matter what number you put in)! If you go to deep discount dvd ( http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com) they still got them I had to go there to get the two copies of the series I wanted. Stay shiny!

Oh-and the BDM showing in Pittsburgh last night was terrific!

Just went and bought mine as well as the BDM soundtrack, Firefly Soundtrack, the official visual companion and....I think that's it.

Went to the early bird screening in Fresno. It's the first time I've seen the BDM on the big screen. Let's just say I was in awe. For having seen the movie so many times, I had no idea it could effect me like that. There were tears, there was laughter, there was joy. It was well worth the drive and the lethargy I'm feeling sitting here at work so early in the am.

I'm so proud of everyone who helped organize this, because I've been looking forward to today for months! And since Chicago finally got verified, I'm one happy independent. Anyway just got back from purchasing the BDS. That makes 2 copies of the series for me. One of my own and a loaner copy. Look out friends and relitives, your gonna watch this show even if it means I will turn into Niska..... ha..ha mine is an evil,pain giving ( but only until they see the show and like it) laugh.

Happy Serenity Day, everyone! I haven't been here for ages because of all the preparation for the Fresno screening. I want to thank everyone who attended our screening last night. I was so happy! We had a great crowd, raised over $1500 for Equality Now, and had people drive here from Reno, Los Angeles, and San Jose.

If you were there and you drove here from other cities than those mentioned, would you please email me and tell me where? Also, if you won a prize in the drawing, please email me with your name and what you won. Maybe you could even have someone take a picture of you with your prize and send it to me.

I just did a search for "Serenity Day" on Google and was really pleased to see how far and wide people have been spreading the signal. (Other than that weird day spa result???)

I've already got e-mail reports of people hitting the internet and local stores to go out and buy their DVDs.

Just a few friendly reminders/recommendations to help maximize our Serenity Day:

Vicki, I was there! Drove over from SLO. I had a great time. Thanks to the Fresno Browncoats for all their hard work. I would've been VERY sad to miss this event. I'm sitting at work with my little gift pack showing my co-workers...who think I'm completely crazy for driving 2.5 hours to see a movie I've already seen a dozen times. If they only knew....

For everyone who is making their way to see the BDM on the Big Damn Screen, have fun. You'll probably never again go to a theatre and see the energy so great. I went to Ann Arbor, and saw a homemade Jayne hat and a girl dressed up as Kaylee. It was a blast and the big screen brings out details that i've never noticed before.

For everyone who has/is organizing a screening, Thank You. I know it hasn't been easy, but i think the Karma Fairy owes you big for this.

And for everyone at FOX, well...hmmm. Let's just say i hope you're paying attention and pulling your hair out.

No, it won't. The box office figures are final and have been for some time.

Only the Serenity DVD sales are significant at present.

The net proceeds for the charity screening money go to the CHARITY. hence it being a charity screening, and not to Universal!

just bought the firefly and serenity official companions from amazon.co.uk (well, pre-ordered the firefly one!) and am waiting any day on a rather large cafe press order of all my browncoat shinies so i can get out and start wearing them!

i think my friends could now tell you all about firefly and serenity, the amount i keep posting in my blog about serenity day! (and my parents are now quoting firefly lines... i'm scared!) i've convinced them all to at least give firefly a try, so every little bit counts! ('course, my best friend said yes after seeing a picture of mal... new marketing tool?!)

Serenity just hit #2 and Firefly is #3 on the bestseller DVD list at Amazon!

Kaele, girl, you did it! I salute you with all my Browncoat heart.

And yes, it's best to spread the love- go to Universal for a copy or two, hit your local mom&pop for a copy.

I did more from Amazon than Universal, but since I wanted to send the movie and series as a set to a couple people I had to go to Amazon for that.

Got my copy of the HD-Dvd and my fancy-shmancy Serenity Australian collectors tin,Whoohoo!I'm psyched. I wanted to go to the screening in Boston but they already sold out,good thing that is.

The day's almost over, here, hope all of y'all had a shiny one (especially Joss). Managed to get my copies of the movie and series at best-buy but missed the screening in Austin on account of work. Excited to find out how we did (numbers-wise; I know there won't be any immediate response in getting our hero's back but here's hoping that it adds to the whole).

Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

hey everyone, just makin' my purchases now. i noticed that the widescreen version of the bdm is at rank number 2 and firefly is at 3! great job everyone! though i do think that amazon's getting wise to it, because the price did go from 9.99 to 13 something. but ah well, it's worth it, many times over.

It's almost 6/25 here in L.A. and... Amazon says the BDS is still #3 overall and the BDM is #4! I realize that's down one slot but... f'cryin'out loud... that is: ...Not Freakin' Shabby for "product" that's ...ummm... not 'This Week's,' if you will...

I myself did:
1 BDS box,
1 BDM regular &
1 BDM hd-dvd

I was particularly thrilled with all you Beautiful Browncoats that bought 5 of this and 4 of that and then started donating the extras to libraries and such... you guys (and "guys-with-tits") freakin' ROCK!

Well I'm sorry that I missed a chance to go to a showing of Serenity. I only discovered this site about a week and a half ago, so there was no time for me to make plans. I already own the series and the movie so all is well there. If 'Serenity Day' is to become an annual event, I surely will be there next year!

Well back in December, my friend had shown me the pilot. I left after semester and couldn't find anyone who knew more about the show and had quite forgotten the name and such. I was very dissapointed. But then another friend later on was telling me he was having a get together for a really good sci-fi show he and afew friedn were trying to save. So I went to see it and was reunited with the best damn show ever to grace the TV screen. They also let me see Serenity, but told me it was too bad I missed it on the big screen. I have a hard time believing that this show faltered on it's own merit and fully believe that it was bad handing by Fox. I was glad to hear about this site and the struggle to bring it back. I said I wanted to help. So they took me out to Target where I purchased the series for myself. And now here I am, ready to to fight the fight. As I said before, I aim to misbehave and there ain't nothing in the 'verse that can stop us from winning this thing. We're still flying. :)
