I ran into Nathan Fillion in Hollywood today! (pic!)

Ok this was WAY too exciting! I'm a BIG Firefly/Serenity fan. Been a fan (aka flan) since Firefly first aired. Joined the postcard-senders to urge Fox not to cancel the series. Saw the entire gang at the 2004 & 2005 San Diego Comic-Cons. Snuck onto the Serenity set from the Universal Studios theme park in 2004. Saw the movie Serenity and met Joss in July 2005. Dressed up as Jayne at numerous events, including Browncoat Scavenger Hunt and the June 23rd 2006 screenings. I'm just saying I'M A FAN.

I've got a friend visiting me, so we went up to L.A. today to sightsee. We're about all done with the Hollywood area, after visiting Graumann's Chinese Theatre, the Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre, and so forth. We're walking into the Kodak Theatre complex, as the car is parked in the underground parking area, and I see the one, the only, Nathan Fillion walking away from the theatre, right across my field of vision, about 12 feet away.

"Nathan!" I yell out.

He stops, looks around to see who called him, and at this point I'm walking towards him and we're just a few feet apart now.
"Mind if I get a picture with you!?"
"Well, uh, sure but I'm in a rush right now..."
"Oh ok, no problem, it's ok."
"Naw c'mon, let's do it "
"Cool! Thanks."
(friend readies camera)
"So whatcha doin here anyway, Nathan?"
"Oh was just catching a movie."
"Ahh, ok, cool."

We shake hands, I thank him, and he's off.

He was wearing a cloth-like kilt by the way, looks like he's still trying to make it "a thing"! After walking away from the encounter, it then really hit me what had happened, and I had to sit down to take it all in. I just met Nathan Fillion!!! AND even had my camera with me! YEAH!!!!

Can you believe it!? Out of ANY actor who may have been in the area, it's the one, the only, cap'n Mal!? AMAZING!!?? Wow. Woohoo!!!!!!!!

Happened to me in New York, what makes it even better is that I'm from London, had travelled several thousand miles, had not slept for 38 hours and should just happen to walk into Nathan on our first outing!! (ok, it was at Spamalot, but I didn't even know Alan was in Spamalot and had a whole happy dance about that when I realised)

Seriously happy for you! I refrained from getting a photo as I didn't want to annoy him on his off time, but I now realise he probably wouldn't have minded as he's the nicest guy in the 'verse.

Look in the archives for pics from the Serenity premiere and you'll find ones of Nathan wearing (gulp) a leather kilt. I think it's leather. Maybe it's just a regular one, and I'm just projecting my own sordid fantasies into this memory.

Yes Mavourneen, it is a leather kilt and I believe it was actually at the In Good Company premier. That kilt got him the job on Slither.

Didn't get a chance to ask about the movie, it was SO fast, he was in a rush. It's possible he had just parked his car and was going TO a movie at Graumann's Chinese Theatre. Woulda been interesting if I had my Blue Sun shirt on instead!

I asked Nathan if he could wear a Caleb preacher shirt, I took with me, for our photoshoot BUT he said he was "too hot and sweaty" I replied with "I don't mind" and He laughed (at me!!) haha!!
THEN when I went up to get my dog collar signed he remembered me!! We had a chat and I gave him one of my Caleb and the bringers magnets (in my store- see below) and he was really shocked and SO overwhelmed... I am SO chuffed that he was happy that someone gave him something <---

I cannot wait to go back to another convention and see who else I can meet and stalk!

Yeah. Someone introduced me to the llama song a few years ago. It does kinda stick in the mind doesn't it? I still burst out with "llama, llama, duck" at random moments. Amusing though.
