Hey everybody. Nice post. I'll give this a try... hope I don't mess it up. I'm at work now, so I only have access to two pics of me on the net that I know of. If I was a couple of my friends, I'd have mugshots to put up too..... It ain't illegal unless you get caught, right?

Sadly no. He used to be small and cheerful enough to roam my bedroom. At that time he used to sit on my head and happily watch TV. Sadly he had no taste and seemed to prefer programs like Gladiators (I assume because of the bright colours and movement!).

For the last 4 years though, since becoming sexually mature, he's become a little peevish. And big! In this nice weather he's living outside and doesn't have access to a TV!

I have never had a twinkie. Or a smore for that matter. But from the descriptions I've received I'm sure I'd love them (sugar, fat and preservatives? I'm there!) Don't think I'd let my boy have them though, they can't handle fat (Iguanas have been known to get so addicted to chocolate that they won't eat anything else and malnutrition themselves to death. Same with lettuce, oddly!)

Ringo loves a nice deep bath. He can hold his breath for up to 30 minutes! (Theoretically, I've never held him down!)

If all the oldtimers (do I count if I've been here several months now?!) have run out of photos of themselves, how about we run a gallery of our pets? I have MANY more animals I could coo over!

Thanks Seryn! I usually take horrible pictures, especially the candid ones. But this one turned out alright, with a little cropping and playing around with the color balance in Photoshop (great way to get that good skin look at home ). Also, digital cameras are my friends, since you can take lots and lots of pictures without wasting film, and somewhere in there, there'll be one that will be pretty good, once you've fiddled with it in Photoshop.

thanks, seryn! i wasn't going for any kind of artistic effect (that shot is actually part of a batch of quick self-portraits i took the day i got my dreads put in so i could send pics of them to my friends, and the background is just a tapestry i had on the bathroom wall), but i adore alphonse mucha. i'll never look at that picture of me the same way again ;)

Eh, I keep putting off posting my pic in here. Partially because I can't find my parent's flash drive to copy pics from the camera, but mostly I have cold feet because while we are reveling in the fact that we mostly arent white-teenage-glasses-wearing-unshaven-acne'd-pasty-living-at-home folks...... well, ok, in my defense i dont wear my glasses a lot, i'm 17 so legally bound with the home thing, and... well, i teh shaving i do that. Heh. I conjure I'll be doin' some sproggin someday... but I've got some exploring days ahead of me before that.

I promise I'm not an axe murderer. I'll even bring some mace for you and let you check for axes under my Browncoat.

The Browncoat Ball looks like a lot of fun. I live probably 30 minutes away from where they had it in 2004. Too bad I didn't watch Firefly until about 2 months ago. They didn't have one in 2005, I think. This year they're doing it in San Francisco. It's only $150.00 and it sounds like you get a lot of bang for your buck. I'm definately going next time it comes to Chicago.

I was saying in Imponderables that it's obviously just the social awkwardness (in some cases) that is steriotypical sci-fi nerd in most of us. Though I do have impaired vision and am very pale.

And yes, photoshop is nice. I find that the gausian blur gives a nice misty look, along with flawless skin. Though it can make the eyes look strange, which is why I don't use it to portray actual looks. It's fun when I'm just messing with things.

well... here I am

the face shot was taken by me with a timer, the full body shot wasnt. Both were taken on the same day, and I made the shirt.

Xie Xie! yeah I have the chinese writing on my Japanese car, it gets some odd looks in asian parts of town, on the freeway folks seem to think my 95' Subaru legacy is a sponsored illegal street racer, it gets a lot of attention. :)
